Hi guys. I'll have to be honest, I didn't think I'd ever be doing this again. Some of you that are still here may remember my old Fan Fic from the old forums. It was the most successful one I ever did and it lasted for a few years, although, it was pretty inactive over the last couple before the forums shut down. Despite warnings, I never did save any of the content and during one of the many crashes on the old forum, I lost pretty much all of that Fan Fic. I wasn't too disappointed, I was never going to pick it up again but I sometimes would think about going back and reading it again. The only traces of it are the results from the great book that PB sent me a few years ago (thank you!) and two pages on another forum when I was posting it simultaneously. There is only two pages but I stopped posting it there and posted only on PW.
Anyway, I decided to search for it a few nights ago and read through the two pages. It reminded me of how much fun I had during that time and how much FF thrived. The thought crossed my mind about starting a new version on here for a few reasons. Mainly, I think I've matured as a person and a writer in these 7-8yrs since and also I don't need to feel any pressure to update frequently or seek reviews etc. I can do it for me and try and enjoy this again, a creative outlet if you like. Of course, if people like it and want to feedback, that is great too. I am a very infrequent visitor on here but I logged back in to see the state of the place. I wasn't sure if FF was still active at all. I'm glad that it has activity and many familiar names. We were such a tight-knit group and it still seems to be the case which is the best thing about FF.
I’m also interested to take on the challenge of writing about a new host of characters. In 2009, there was no Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Bayley, Sasha Banks and others in the WWE. Back then, my Kofi Kingston was still Jamaican, ECW was the third brand, Drew McIntyre and AJ Lee were in development and I had to “call them up” and the Divas Championship was still a thing.
Thanks for reading this. I appreciate all the help and advice you all gave over the years and I hope you enjoy this too. Once again, I'm not promising anything but we'll see how it goes
It is April 12th, 2021. This is an unfamiliar feeling. The ring crew and referee's hurriedly begin to disassemble the ring inside the cavernous Raymond James Stadium as the sound of wrestling fans leaving the event dissipates in the Tampa air. There can be no mistake, this week has been huge, not only for World Wrestling Entertainment but for the entire world. Only one week prior, the World Health Organisation declared the Covid-19 pandemic to be over. Not only had this pandemic brought the WWE juggernaut to a screeching halt with the company forced to hold WrestleMania 36 inside their empty Performance Center in 2020 and run events with virtual spectators for much of the year, it had also simply stalled life. For wrestling fans, going to events or making the annual pilgrimage to the biggest show on the calendar was something that was taken for granted. WrestleMania 37 marked the beginning of a new chapter.
Over two consecutive nights, WWE were finally allowed to admit their fans back into their events and although they didn’t opt for selling the full capacity on either night, it was a major step forward. The event was a total success and with Monday evening’s episode of RAW titled “Homecoming” with the first capacity crowd in over a year expected, the future looks bright for WWE.

Raymond James Stadium
Tampa Bay, Florida
Night One
Match 1
WWE Championship Match
Drew McIntyre def. Bobby Lashley ©
It is no secret that Drew McIntyre has faced adversity in his career. He worked his way back to WWE and finally earned a shot at the WWE Championship… only for his dream to be realised in an empty warehouse due to the pandemic. It was not how he imagined it. WrestleMania 37 represented a chance for a do-over as he clashed with Bobby Lashley in the first match back with fans. The Scotsman was loudly cheered from the moment his music hit.
Bobby Lashley has been on a tear recently and gave as good as he got in a hard-fought match in the WrestleMania opener. In the end, MVP’s distraction was crucial in the match as Lashley’s manager leapt onto the apron. McIntyre was momentarily distracted but ducked an oncoming Lashley attack which knocked MVP off the apron instead and allowed McIntyre to strike with The Claymore to earn the victory. An emotional moment followed with confetti and fireworks as the crowd cheered for their new champion.
Match 2
Tag Team Turmoil Match - winners receive a tag team title match vs. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on Night 2
Riot Squad (Liv Morgan and Ruby Riot) def. Natalya and Tamina vs. Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose vs. Billie Kay and Carmella
A chance for several new, inexperienced teams to showcase themselves on the biggest stage and earn a Women’s Tag Team title shot on the second night of WrestleMania.
The match served as a breakout moment for the most experienced tag team in it as the Riot Squad consisting of Liv Morgan and Ruby Riot started the match and went on to defeat every other team. They lastly eliminated Billie Kay and Carmella with Morgan rolling up Kay for the victory.
Match 3
Singles Match
Cesaro def. Seth Rollins
Both fears of Seth Rollins were realised on Saturday night against the Swiss Superman, Cesaro as he not only lost out on the Grandest Stage of them All but he also found himself caught up in the dreaded Cesaro Swing. Cesaro would set a new record for his longest continuous swing timed at two minutes.
Rollins could barely stand afterward and Cesaro ended the match with the Neutralizer
Match 4
Tag Team Match
AJ Styles and Omos def. The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) to win the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships
AJ Styles and the towering Omos had been dominant on RAW in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania and that dominance continued as they claimed the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships against Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
AJ Styles looked in trouble during the match after being hit with the Trouble in Paradise but as he fell at the turnbuckle, Omos was able to tag himself in. Omos proceeded to take down Kofi, knock Woods off the apron and deliver his double-handed chokeslam to win the match and he made it look easy too.
Match 5
Steel Cage Match
Braun Strowman def. Shane McMahon
Shane McMahon was no challenge for Braun Strowman inside of a Steel Cage and Shane, despite the use of weapons, low blows, and other devious tactics, was beaten after both men wrestled to the top of the cage and Strowman threw Shane all the way down to the mat below. Strowman escaped the cage and celebrated for several minutes with the crowd.
After the match, a beaten-up Shane took the microphone and was sincere as he thanked the fans for the opportunity to give him one last WrestleMania moment and one last match in front of his family. Shane announced his retirement from the ring and was cheered as he made his way up the ramp.
Match 6
Bad Bunny and Damian Priest def. The Miz and John Morrison
Bad Bunny is… good. Any fears that he would be out of his depth inside a WWE ring quickly disappeared as he and Damian Priest impressed in victory over The Miz and John Morrison. Bad Bunny, who had reportedly trained hard for months prior to his debut, was more than competent throughout the match and picked up the victory for his team with a Frog Splash on The Miz.
Main Event
WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship Match
Bianca Belair def. Sasha Banks ©
A historic match as two women headlined WrestleMania in a Singles Match for the first-time ever and also became the first ever black women to headline wrestling’s biggest show. The significance of the moment was not lost on either competitor or the crowd as both women looked knowingly at each other to loud cheers before the match got underway.
The two delivered an excellent contest deserving of its main event status and Bianca Belair picked up the victory and her first-ever SmackDown Women’s Championship after hitting the K.O.D on The Boss.
