John Cena's last return was to give Roman Reigns a fresh challenger, ultimately becoming cannon fodder.

Thanks to Kevin Owens, John Cena is returning for the exact same reason. Give Reigns some fresh meat to smash.

He’s just the definition of the whole ‘I am very clever’ subset of fans that pick apart storylines looking for hidden references and callbacks.

I haven't watched it yet, as Smackdown is still airing and the clips haven't been posted, but I'll second this.

Not against Charlotte returning, just against her winning the title right away.

Some noticeable ring rust there with two mistimed spots but was cool to see Cena back, something I’d never thought I’d type :lol:

Has Wyatt wrestled a match yet? He returned, presented like a top star, only to waffle on a lot and do vague things with L.A. Knight. The mysterious stranger attacking Bray was pretty interesting though.

Charlotte basically did a MITB cash-in without the briefcase. Ugh. I know Vince had a fetish for giving Charlotte everything all the time, didn't think the trend would continue with Triple H.

The main event was a waste of time. Cena's big return, full of energy, and he wrestles for no more than a minute. Does he have to be super protected now? No bumps allowed? However I did enjoy the psychology in the first couple of minutes, in particular Reigns' reactions to whatever was going on between Sami and Ko.

Yeah, I was expecting more from the main event. Sure, maybe not Cena wrestling at 100 miles as hour, but I expected some decent urgency.

And, yeah.. I've been saying the same thing about Wyatt for weeks.. waffle on, and more bullshit. Let's stop pretending this guy is a genius.

Really think Wyatt is who HHH was talking about in the rumors that said he has serious buyers remorse with some of the returns.

Wyatt Family Bray was the best iteration. Funhouse Bray was interesting, but like nothing about that gimmick really worked in the ring, and that is ultimately where he needs to deliver. This Bray is even worse as it seems to be all based on backstage shit.

Not be shocked at all if Bray is cut again for costs. He was too expensive for AEW, so he did not come cheap.  HHH can raid AAA for the cost of Bray.

I can't believe Wyatt is a two-time world champion in WWE. Awful wrestler, awful promos, awful everything. One of the worst top level guys in any company for years.

Sad thing is, the man can talk. He has that natural ability to cut a promo (it may be incoherent bullshit, but it's a promo) and has a very unique way of speaking.

Mick Foley was, IMO never a great worker, but he'd go out there and fight a motherfucker and take an ass kicking. Bray just seems so intent to avoid the ring all together.

I guess the worst part is, instead of just building a solid back and forth between he and an opponent ie; run ins, sneek attacks, held apart from fighting.. the usual build, instead they've gone with another convoluted, uninteresting attempt at expanding this character.
