Foley's work depends on your definition of a worker. Was he a great technical wrestler who could go on the mat and have a realistic chain of submissions? No. Did Foley understand his weaknesses, structure his matches accordingly and brought out the best of him and his opponent? Absolutely. Could Foley build up simple spots to maximise crowd reactions? Yes - seriously go watch Foley-Orton and watch Foley do as simple as reach for a weapon and notice how he milks it like he's the Hulk Hogan of hardcore wrestling.

I'd say Bray is more like Taker where his focus is on character worker and his matches are at the whim of WWE creative. He's shown he has enough spots to have a compelling match, but there's little you can do when creative insists on mood lighting or putting holographic projections of worms in the ring.

Give Bray the right material and opponent and he can clearly deliver. His return segment and promo were fantastic, the problem is that they've been stretching since then and the LA Knight match-up is really odd in terms of timing. LA can structure a match and work within the confines to make it work, but he's barely been established since dropping the Max Dupree monicker.

I’m glad Charlotte is champ now and won’t be winning the Rumble (presumably) like earlier rumors had it. I think it’s too early for a repeat winner on the women’s side but I’m worried the other big three names right now, who are all previous winners (Becky, Bianca and Ronda), still have a shot taking it. I’d welcome a Rhea win to set up that Rhea/Ronda mania match which just means Bianca is somehow losing to Ronda, womp womp.

I would have gone Mandy Rose if she was still in the company, maybe they work something out to have her reappear by the time the rumble happens but I have doubts.

I think Naomi is the dark horse, Sasha Banks is whatever at this point but Naomi seems like the easier pull to have. Not sure if she joins Bloodline or not but if there's a time to skyrocket Naomi, this is it. You can even do a final 2 of her and someone else(Ripley?) and have Naomi do her rope save for extra theatrics. 

Having Naomi vs Charlotte at WM and having Naomi win I think would be great publicity and reward someone who prior to her leaving, was a good soldier for the company. 

I'd be fine with either Rhea Ripley or Raquel González winning (though I doubt Raquel actually wins it). Of course, Alexa Bliss winning the Royal Rumble will always be welcomed by me as well.

Edit: Actually I wouldn't mind somebody unexpected winning it, or even a surprise entry winning if the WWE can get them to work WrestleMania, I feel like they could probably get away with it more with the women's rumble match more so than if they did it with the men (outside of maybe John Cena or The Rock).

My money is on Rhea. I think 2023 will see Judgement Day evolve and gold is in their futures.

Agreed but Naomi isn't and might be pushed heavy if she wants back in due to Banks/Vanardo leaving.

Too many girls fighting for spots to push one who walked. I think she is also done.

Not sure if I like that name, Mercedes Banks has a better ring to it.

I doubt it as one of the names she trademarked was Mone Banks, which again Mercedes Banks still sounds better.

Fucking crazy night of wrestling. Absolutely unreal how over Sami is getting. He could very well headline Wrestlemania now. Something I would have presumed impossible for El Generico. Roman vs Sami may be bigger than Roman vs Cena at this point. Certainly the biggest match WWE can do right now without brining back Rock.

Also him and Owens went a lot harder than they have since they were in the indys it seemed like in that match.

Also REAL happy they seem to be rushing the Bray angle. This was clearly OG Bray back. Really hope they keep the character here and do not try to do Bray with six different characters as that would be a fucking mess.

Sami winning the title would be a crazy moment. One of the biggest babyface wins they ever done. And yeah, would be a far better win than Cody. Cody can take it off someone else down the line. But the time is perfect now to give Sami a huge win even if he does not have a long title run.

Bray Wyatt has forgotten that pro-wrestling is about wrestling, not creating bizarre fan fiction. I am paying attention to what he's doing, but it's just because it's different, not necessarily because it's all good. I always did like the Firefly Funhouse stuff as a presentation of an unhinged character. Let's see what he delivers at the Royal Rumble.

The Bloodline storyline continues to be very very exciting. Couldn't imagine being excited for a Kevin Owens match, but there ya go.

So Charlotte Flair vs. Sonya Deville next Friday on Smackdown... cool. Except why should I care? I mean there is a PPV tonight, if the match isn't good enough to make it to PPV, why should I care about it being on Smackdown? Mostly, I just think they could have done a better job, with Sonya Deville over the last several weeks which is disappointing, although honestly not surprising all things considered.

They keep doing Sonya dirty. She's twice the worker someone like Bazler is, likely a better worker than Ronda if given the time and she's hands down a much better talker, entertainer, presentation, etc. than most of the women's division.
