CM Punk will be on tonight's episode of Dynamite so that should be interesting. Also, Chris Jericho will be getting TV times to address his wrestling future.

I know AEW likes their competitive matches, however, I'm hoping Malakai Black comes off looking like a beast and absolutely destroys Brock Anderson. Outside of that, I'm looking forward to the tag team Match as well, even though I think it's safe to say, Lucha Bros. Winning is a foregone conclusion.

Am I strangely more looking forward to OC vs. Matt Hardy over Punk? Because I am.

So quick random story...it involves Ted Lasso spoilers so if you haven't watched last week's episode..




We watched the most recent episode of Ted Lasso and there's a scene where a veteran, famous soccer player runs into the stadium unannounced. The second he's in view, the entire crowd starts singing a song and cheering for him, which was tradition while he was an active player.

My wife made a comment about it, saying "imagine being so important to so many people that you walk into a room and they immediately start singing a song about you."

I replied "wait until tomorrow night."

She knows who CM Punk is but never really understood the hype. We watched Rampage on Friday and she was like "yeah, I get it now." I was silently marking out on the couch and said "I know it's stupid to get emotional over wrestling, but-" and she cut me off and said "no, this makes sense. I get it," and she was basing that just off the crowd reaction.

Just thought I'd share. I'm so fucking hyped for Dynamite tonight.

Pains me to say it but man Matt Hardy is change the channel esque here in 2021. Not trainwreck funny but not remotely entertaining, the Big Money Matt Hardy gimmick is pure ass.

My five year old, absolutely loves Orange Cassidy.

"He wears sunglasses inside, that's awesome daddy."

Of course he also thinks he's Iron Man so uh there's that as well.

Perfect example of "would be totally bad if it weren't for AEW smarks."

I hate it too. If he was just managing HFO and letting Private Party and Butcher/Blade and whatever that other fucking team is do their thing, they'd be better. But instead it's just painfully obvious that these tag teams had nowhere to go so they jammed them up with Matt Hardy.

My son is 6 and on Friday he got mad at me because Luchasaurus isn't actually a dinosaur. Don't feel bad.

Yeah I've got to agree with Blindy - Matt Hardy dominating for the first ten minutes of a show when everyone's tuning into see Punk is not exactly how I would have booked it.

I don't mind Hardy, more so in Trios matches, more than anything.

If AEW ever introduces six man tag titles, I honestly wouldn't mind Orange Cassidy and Best Friends getting the first reign as Champions.

Agreed, he's sorta brought Private Party to be clowns for me when they had some upside being the high flying athletic tag team duo. Feel like Top Flight took that crown from them until one of the Martin's got hurt.

Hardy isn't The Good Brothers get off the bed and walk to another room levels of bad, when I hear that constipated southern theme of theirs, I get off the bed asap and do something else with my time. But he isn't far from it either. Someone who should fallback and be like Dustin Rhodes and come in for spurts or be apart of a tag team. Same with what Christopher Daniels was doing. Christian at least brings something different in the ring and has been so removed from full time in ring work he still has some intrigue about him.

Private Party had a breakout, balls to the wall, amazing match with The Young Bucks last year and they've done nothing since.

If we're talking AEW booking failures, they have to be at the top of the list.

Give Brock "Not Lesnar" Anderson a few moments of offense, he throws some sick shoulder tackles on the corner rope. Best thing in his arsenal. Not sure if he knows how to pop his dad's spinebuster like to see it teased before Black counters it.

I would have been into just to see a minute or so of Fire Ant coming and been happy   I miss that ant so much.  Matt I never was a mega fan of, but am a fan of Reby so watch their twitch a lot and he is super cool on it which gets me to watch his stuff these days so we can banter with him in kayfabe.  The man Matt is by far more interesting than the wrestler Matt though with an amazing family.
