This truly is the best time of the year, football every night. Buffalo/Miami is my MAC game tonight. Interesting matchup of styles with Buffalo's three headed running back group against Miami's aggressive passing offence led by Brett Gabbert. Both teams need the win to stay in touch with Kent State.

If only State and Michigan could play each other so we could see who was a better team...
Buffalo didn't really come to play tonight, Miami rolled them pretty easily. I'm moving over to Ohio vs EMU to see if Eastern can overcome this first half deficit and avoid the upset.

More football! Battle at the top of the MAC West tonight between NIU and Ball State. Feels like this one is going to be a real shootout with the QBs and WRs in great form recently. Games last night weren't particularly high scoring so I'm on the over here.

A rare marquee CFB Thursday night game tonight that I'll be keeping an eye on with UNC against Pitt. Lots of NFL scouts will be there tonight with two potential first round QBs in action. Sam Howell hasn't been quite as good this season as he was in 2020, while Kenny Pickett has come surging up draft boards and has started to be called QB1 by some analysts. The over is 74 so there should be plenty of fireworks.

It was a wild ride but Pitt avoided choking away a 17 point first quarter lead getting the win in OT with a little assistance from mother nature absolutely opening the heavens when the Tar Heels got the ball. Howell has to do it all by himself for UNC, their o-line is atrocious and he was under siege all night long. Really impressed by him leaving it all out on the field even though they lost.

Amazing MACtion tonight. NIU trying to punch their ticket to Ford Field had a lead of 24-10 before Buffalo mounted a comeback to tie it up. Northern Illinois kicker had a chance to win at the buzzer for the second straight game but the strong win blew his kick wide. Buffalo take the ball down to the goalline in OT but their QB fumbles the snap and NIU recover, then score a TD to win on their first play. Northern Illinois went 0-6 last season but they turn around in 2021 and clinch the West at 8-3.

The kid is a monster and a joy to watch play. He is going to be so dominant for the next 2-3 years in college when he starts to learn more nuances of the game. The obvious comp is Henry - I just hope he doesn’t get worn out by the time he hits the NFL.

Some real 4D chess from Riley to bail from Oklahoma as they move into the SEC and start having to play a much tougher schedule.
That's going to be a potentially seismic shift in CFB looking at all of the OU commits. A 5* WR has already decommitted, and they've got three more 5* who are from SoCal.
