Any reference to him should be autocorrected to BOBCORE. That goes for wikipedia and WWE Network as well.

Highlighting the testimony of the Baker Man, star witness to the defense of Bob "Hardcore" "Bobcore" Holly. I don't think BOBCORE is anything special in the ring. He has a great dropkick and can be a little above average in hardcore matches. That's about it. I once saw a post elsewhere calling BOBCORE the most average wrestler of all time ... I mostly agree with this. He's not the greatest in ring performer*. He might be an jerk, but, dang it, he's MY jerk. *That 11 Best Bob Holly match list I came up with was sincere. Don't get me wrong. I genuinely did enjoy all those matches at one time or another. But it was also a bit of a lark? Let's just say I exaggerated the BOBCORE fanboy gimmick a bit. I don't think you can argue BOBCORE's peak in terms of character and overness was 99-00* .... *While his strongest push came in late 03-early 04 but the Brock stuff was honestly a cold feud for me....and just about everybody else judging by the reaction to it over the past 18 years. I'm not saying Holly was over in every city every night. There were many times when he came out to crickets. The prosecution against Bob "Hardcore" "Bobcore" Holly rests.

I'd say that's more of an endorsement for BOBCORE if there ever was one. You gotta judge him in his lane and not compare him to the all-time greats. That's what makes him prime BOYS material. Like BOBCORE to me is a perfect case that there's no straight definition to the IT FACTOR. Because why else would a young early wrestling fan give him the time of day for things like Textbook Dropkick... the fact that it mostly stalls from here shows me he has SOMETHING to draw me in. Why would a blonde balding old man appeal to me in the world where we had big factions, being larger than life and he even felt shoehorned into Jerichi/Chyna... but he was a welcome addition.
BOBCORE ultimate compliment is while he's never gonna get my ass in the seat solo dolo, while I'm THERE...
Baker going over ways he's great feels like it was a folder from the other side.
You do a Kurt Angle top matches and it's taken seriously. People might even bicker for a few posts.
I don't remember many BOBCORE finishes but I got moments. He drew me in despite the only promo I can recall is the WTF @ WM16. He didn't do anything well. Even his HITS were done better elsewhere. He's the wrestling Applejacks. Why do you like BOBCORE he doesn't have classic matches? I just do.
"Truthfully he really ain't that great" - that's what makes him great.
Like he's ever family's trash talker. Dude STFU, but in this environment it works.
BOBCORE born and bred I'll be BOBCORE till I'm dead.

@ness , I bet you Kilgore and maybe even secretly Baker -man think Crash is legit the greater male Holly. There is no Holly greater than the other, just two guys making me flip the channel to Nitro. Take everything good about the Dudleys and make it suck instead: The Hollys.

Any reference to him should be autocorrected to BOBCORE. That goes for wikipedia and WWE Network as well. Agreed. Also think whenever another wrestler is mentioned their connection to BOBCORE should be brought up. Make a habit out of this. I will show PW the way by doing it in the Match Review thread from now on. @ness , I bet you Kilgore and maybe even secretly Baker -man think Crash is legit the greater male Holly. Rude. I'm not going to slap the Pieman with a glove just yet, but I will give you a friendly word of advice. Spouting nonsense like this is how one gets challenged to a duel. You should watch it with the libelous comments in the future. Kilgore I'll be back for you later

Kilgore I like to think I'm fair. Sure, I have my biases like anyone else, but I think most wrestlers, including BOBCORE, are a mixed bag of good and bad. I also like to think I usually do a good job of laying out both the pros and cons. Only one wrestler is perfect and y'know what? Nah. Don't feel like breaking kayfabe three days in a row. So let's go with only one wrestler is perfect and very few are entirely devoid of value. I've dumped on Ric Flair more than once and put Mideon over a time or two. BOBCORE falls somewhere in between those two. Though I reckon BOBCORE is closer to Flair than PIG if I were to rank all the thousands of wrestlers I've seen over the years. I'll be generous and give you one more round of ammunition before launching in to BOBCORE defense #4814. Was thinking about this last night and came to the conclusion BOBCORE never drew a single Baker dime. @ness basically said the same thing. Truth is I never bought a show for BOBCORE and only once MAY have watched a show just to see BOBCORE. It was more like he'd show up and I'd be all "Sweet! BOBCORE is here too!" So while BOBCORE was never THE reason I watched or bought a show (aside from maybe that one episode of Heat where he wrestled HHH), I was almost always happy to see him from 1999 on. He was like that special treat you appreciate without ever really thinking about. 15 Reasons Why Hardcore Holly Rules1. Had the best dropkick 2. Carved out a 15 year WWF career for himself. Think about this for a minute because it really is impressive. By my calculation BOBCORE was the 2nd longest tenured full time wrestler during Vince's first quarter century (84-09) running the biggest promotion in the US. Hundreds, if not a thousand wrestlers were employed by WWF during that time. BOBCORE lasted longer than every single one of them save The Undertaker. Our hero must have been doing something right.3. GOAT dropkick 4. BOBCORE was often used to put over new talent. This is an important and undervalued role. Wrestlers from Bradshaw & Mankind to Orton & Cody had their first televised match with BOBCORE, while dozens of others had one of their earliest matches with our guy. In the beginning he was there to make the new talent look good. As he grew into a surly veteran respected by the office (if few others) he would test the noobs to make sure they had It. Bob Holly was basically the wrestling equivalent of an under appreciated offensive lineman out there doing the grunt work to make the superstars look good. 5. That dropkick 6. Spawned two successful spinoff characters. Is this a record? I think it is. Even Taker only gave us one. 7. Tremendous dropkick 8. Fought Al Snow in the Mississippi River 9. Dropkick
10. Regularly did a Frankensteiner in his Spark Plugg days. Frankensteiners were cool. So cool, in fact, my friend Brandon was ahead of all us by becoming an actual Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly fan just because he did the Frankensteiner. 11. His dropkick was a thing of beauty 12. Also had great Flair Chops 13. Became a 2x cult hero by wrestling through a broken freaking arm against Kurt Angle and toughing it out through a sick back gash against RVD 14. Have I mentioned his dropkick? 15. Had a title AND an entire style of wrestling named after him But all that is just noise. @ness nailed it earlier. Why does BOBCORE rule? Because he just does.

Broken arm with Angle, the gash and don't forget his neck from Brock. He was a BATTLE DAMAGE action figure in the ring.

Only one guy in orange politely clapping. No one else seems to care one way or the other. During the Attitude Era! The most juiced up crowds in history. The perfect gif to represent Bob.

Lesnar feared Holly so much that he took out a restraining order and hid behind The Big Show. So Holly kicked Show's ass, too. Only one guy in orange politely clapping. No one else seems to care one way or the other. During the Attitude Era! The most juiced up crowds in history. The perfect gif to represent Bob. Awed silence, obviously. Same deal as when I saw Marty top rope powerbomb Skip at Survivor Series 95. What I saw, and what those people just witnessed, was so far above and beyond anything else they had ever seen that it took a while to process.

BOBCORE so good he even turns the rowdy american crowd into RESPEKTING Japanese silence.
Like what if BOBCORE didn't want your approval? Fans smart enough not to chance it. What if they're NEXT?

Random grilling episode tlaking about BOBCORE ending CM Punk's debut streak for whatever that's worth (more or less first real loss I'm assuming). Dunno the context but it's another PRO for BOBCORE if you asked Baker .

Yeah @ness Holly was the first person to pin or submit Punk on WWE tv. I never forgot! Obviously another feather in the cap of our hero.
Fun Fact: Punk actually likes BOBCORE! And has put him in over in interviews. Miserable pricks gotta stick together. Recently discovered Punk also delivered some juicy unscripted lines to Nash...when they feuded in 2011! Why was this a thing? Anyway, in a dick vs. dick feud you just wanna see somebody get butthurt over some zingers. So there's another point for Punk. See, I am always fair, Fonzie style.

Recently discovered Punk also delivered some juicy unscripted lines to Nash... when they feuded in 2011! Why was this a thing? Anyway, in a dick vs. dick feud you just wanna see somebody get butthurt over some zingers. So there's another point for Punk. See, I am always fair, Fonzie style. Kevin Nash attacked Punk at SummerSlam 2011, allowing Del Rio to capture Punk's newly won Undisputed WWE title. There was plenty of speculation behind the attacks, but it was widely believed it was orchestrated by HHH who had recently come into power after the board of directors had relieved Vince of his duties. HHH maintained his innocence and it was later revealed Nash acted on his own accord. This led to a TLC match between HHH-Nash which turned out to be Nash's last singles match in the WWE.
Behind the scenes it was reported that Nash/Punk was meant to take place at the next PPV after SummerSlam but Nash couldn't get cleared. So that changed to HHH going over Punk after Nash attacked both guys.
At the time, fans thought we'd see some variation of The Shield where it would be Punk's Indie Guys taking on the HHH guys with Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Cesaro, Kassius Ohno and Colt Cabana all being called in. However, HHH wanted to remain babyface for his End of an Era match so he completely no-sold the turn and it took years for something like that to materialise. In the end, we got The Shield at Survivor Series 2012 to divert Ryback who was on a Goldberg like tear at the time.
In the end, they did a storyline where the locker room staged a mutiny and the only guys who stood by Hunter were Cena, Sheamus & Punk. That lasted about 30 minutes, until Vince was re-instated and Vince made John Lauranaitis the authority figure of the company. HHH resumed playing the babyface until he screwd Daniel Bryan out of the WWE Title at SummerSlam 2013 and CM Punk turned heel at RAW 1000 (lead up to SummerSlam 2012) after The Rock announced he'd fight for the WWE Championship at the 2013 Royal Rumble.

Couldn't really follow what Punk did in AEW to alienate himself from everybody. All I know is Nash was giddy kicking Punk while he was down and I enjoyed seeing the big man so happy. Old Man Nash has become great at roasting someone while being self-deprecating about himself. This is the charm of Nash. Feel bad for people that don't get it.

Breaking out the popcorn for this Big Lazy vs. Couldn't Main Punk feud.
