I was debating I should do one, or not @admin who did a great job doing NBA Power rankings which inspire me to do one for the NBA so you know what the fuck I do one. Media day starts today and training camp starts tomorrow I am going to try to do all 30 teams before the season starts if not well I guess I will never do one again but anyways here is my power rankings for the NBA for this upcoming season. 30. Oklahoma ThunderShould be no secret that Oklahoma Thunder is not going anywhere anytime soon but the bright side is they have a bunch of draft picks for like forever so eventually they win the lottery, and select a potential franchise superstar. In a mean time they do have some nice young players such as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander whom shown great improvements the last couple years plus he got a big pay check over the off-season five years which I believe $100 plus million dollars plus they do have other young players developing such as Aleksej Pokuševski, Darius Bazley, Josh Giddey & some others they also have a veteran big such as Derrek Favor who have tons of experience who is a solid big. I expect this team to be in the running for the worst team this season which I think they will have the worst record this season. Right now the focus should be developing the young players which should be somewhat give excitement for the future with their young cores, and potentially another high draft pick for next year to add the mix.

29. Houston Rockets
Last season the Houston Rockets are one of the top four teams that have the worst record but they do end up getting the number two overall pick this past year draft which they select shooting guard coming out from the G-League Jalen Green. I expect the Houston Rockets not going to be well good this season probably be one of the worst team again this season but I except Jalen Green to bring excitement and lot of highlights on Sports Center especially when they get in transition especially with John Wall pushing up tempo in transition(assuming he can stay healthy of course.)so I expect lot of highlights.
I wouldn't be surprise someone like Eric Gordon is either going to be traded to a contender, or possible a buyout candidate at some point this season. But anyways they do have some nice solid players such as Christian Woods, Daniel Theis, & Kevin Porter Jr whom play well since he was sign with the Rockets it's matter of him putting it together, and be consistent or and maturity both off and on the court. Wouldn't surprise me the Rockets be the one with the worst record in the league this season hell maybe this year they might win the lottery.

28. Detroit Pistons
Last season Detroit Pistons finished 20 wins and 52 losses which once again didn't make the playoffs. But the good news is they won the lottery this past year draft which they select point guard from Oklahoma State Cade Cunningham with their first overall pick who I think is going to be a stud for them for years to come there is no doubt in mind that he will and should be a starting point guard this season despite having another young player who they draft last year play the same position Killian Hayes.
Cade Cunningham is my pick for the rookie of the year this year but he does have competition that could be in the running for the rookie of the year this season. But anyways I don't expect Detroit Pistons to make the playoffs but with Cade I could see them be a sneaky team in a sense like the Hornets with LaMelo Ball last season but I think it won't be enough to make it to the play-in tournament other young players to look at this season in terms of development are Killian Hayes, Saddiq Bey, Isiah Stewart, Luka Garza, and Hamidou Diallo.

27. Toronto Raptors
It was only just three years ago the Toronto Raptors won their first NBA title last season they didn't make the playoffs, nor the play in tournament this season I expect the same this season which this time there is no Kyle Lowry on the team wouldn't surprise me that the Raptors finished one of the top four, or five worst record in the league this season. They still got Pascal Siakam which at times I think he is overrated yes he is a good player but sorry he is no superstar wouldn't surprise me they may dealt him afterall there were rumors of him be on the trade block over the off-season I believe I might be wrong though.
They do have some decent players on the roster Gary Trent, OG, Fred VanVleet, and Precious Achiuwa(Who I think he can be a solid role-player he just needs an opportunity.) They do got a veteran Goran Dragic who they got in a trade with Miami but keep an eye open for him possible a buyout candidate at some point this season. Oh, and how could I forget that the Raptors who could have draft Jalen Suggs with the number four overall pick from the draft this past year which instead they draft Scottie Barnes instead which could potentially hunt the franchise for quite sometime granted Scottie Barnes have some potential especially defensively and playmaking ability. Other then that I think Raptors is well not going to be good this season they will get some wins here, and there but that is about it.

26. Cleveland Cavs
The Cavs off-season is a bit confusing to me because well let see the Cavs resign Jarrett Allen for five years and $100 million which overpaid I may add, and before that they drafted Evan Mobley but I figure maybe they think Mobley can play at the four(I think end of the day he is better play at the five than at the four but we see.) but then they overpaid Lauri who wants to starts, and still got Kevin Love on the roster. Not now but later they going decided who is their future front court will be out of Allen/Mobley/and Lauri because well let's face it Kevin Love eventually is going to get dealt, or get a buyout(unlikely most likely getting traded if anything.)
Anyways, they do have some nice young players Saxton(Who plays well last season.), Garland(Going to see if he improves this season.), and Okoro who I think is their best perimeter defender on the team. I already mentioned Evan Mobley who I could see him have superstar potential but as of right now I see him more of a project but they going to decide later down the road is he a five(Which I think is his natural position.) or a four they probably have move Allen, or Lauri later down the road. I expect some more learning curves especially growing pains for Mobley I am not sure he will be on the rotation this season even though he at least should be on the rotation I expect similar from last season maybe some sort of improvements from the backcourt.

25. Sacramento Kings
If you look at the Sacramento Kings roster they have some talent, and potentially could be part of the play-in tournament this year maybe to the playoffs for the 8th seed but that is a big maybe lets look at the roster. They got De'Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, Tyrese Haliburton, Richaun Holmes, and etc. They do have some good squad granted pass up drafting Luka which they draft Bagley is going to haunt the organization for quite sometime though they do got some veterans as well Harrison Barnes, Harkless, T. Thompson(Who stunk nowadays though.) and plus they draft another point guard Davion Mitchell which I am not sure how much playing time he is going to get since they are crowded at the guard positions but if he get some playing time think of Patrick Beverley in terms what he can bring on the defensively matter of fact I think he'll get some playing time after I look at the depth but how much playing time will be the question.
I think this team could be part of the play-in tournament but wouldn't surprise they be disappointed once again, and wouldn't surprise me that Luke Walton who I don't think he is a good head coach will be the first one this season to get the axe.

24. Orlando Magic
At the trade deadline from last season the Orlando Magic were making moves trading Aaron Gordon, Nikola Vucevic, and Evan Fournier to start the rebuilding process. Granted I have them rank at 24 I could see them possible top five worst team in the league but I think the team will get some surprise, and sneaky wins they have some nice young players Wendall Carter Jr, Cole Anthony Jr, and plus two players returning from injury Johnathan Isaac & Markelle Fultz.
Don't forget the Orlando Magic got two first rounders this past year draft which at number five overall pick they select Jalen Suggs who surprises drop to them which he is going to be a stud what interesting is with Markelle Fultz who plays well last season before the injury returning this season, and Cole Anthony very curious who what they are going to do at the point guard positions which is crowded but I could see Suggs play some at the two guard this season since the depth at shooting guard is their weakest. Don't forget they also have a new head coach Jamahl Mosley as well will they make the playoffs? Probably not play in? Probably not but they'll may surprise some teams with win here, and there with their some good quality young players and plus Suggs who potentially be a stud and running for the rookie of the year this season. OH and I forgot to mention they use their other pick they acquire from the Bulls with their 8th overall pick Franz Wagner.

How did Luke Walton keep the Kings job? Kings need to bring back Reggie Theus. Beats me. I remember Luke Walton was hype to be the next good head coach when he was the assistance with the Warriors not so much with the Lakers, and now with the Kings that is what happen when the Kings have a incompetent front office don't know how to operate a team. Reggie Theus should just stick to coaching in college hoops

23. Minnesota Timberwolves
On paper the Minnesota Timberwolves looks like a playoff team you got Karl Anthony Town and D'Angelo Russell that put up good numbers but in reality they only good up good numbers but not enough to move the needle. KAT is a double double guy but only make the playoffs once in his career which was few years back when Jimmy Butler playing for the team. D'Angelo Russell his best days was few years back when he play for the Nets but he never was an efficient player since entering the league neither those players are superstar/impactful type of players but they are good players, and all stars just not impactful players if that make any sense but no doubt talent players.
They do have have solid players surround them such as Anthony Edwards who was last year draft who was select at number one overall pick which in a weak draft class. He did have a solid rookie season from last season going to wait and see if he can be a superstar, or not that is wait and see approach. Other solid players they have are Mailk Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt, Josh Okogie, & Naz Reid. They do have a couple vets with experience as well with Patrick Beverley who they just acquired via trade like a month, or so ago and they also have Taurean Prince they do have some nice depth in terms of solid defensive players especially the wing positions in Beasley, Prince, & Okoie. I see this team be one of the teams from the Western Conferences to be part of play-in tournament, possible make the last two spots in the playoffs from the Western Conferences.
They do fired Ryan Sanders who is a former head coach for the Wolves last season who is also a terrible coach, and hired Chris Finch as their new head coach who been an assistance coach for a few teams such as the Rockets, Raptors(Last season.), Pelicans, & Nuggets which from what I read he was high regarded, and an offensive mind so we see how he do with his first year as head coach.

22. San Antonio Spurs
You can never count the Spurs out in terms of making the playoffs however they did missed the playoffs from the last two season even though they were competing for the play-in tournament but was couldn't clinch it. Granted there is no Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu, The Claw, and now they have rosters of young players with some veterans such as Thaddeus Young whose is a good locker room guy for this young team and of course you got a great head coach in Gregg Popovich who probably coach the team until he turns 100 but anyways I am going to say their off-season moves is kinda weird to me.
They overpaid Zach Collins, and Doug McDermott whose both not known as good defenders plus the last two season Zach Collins can't stay healthy. Oh well with Gregg Popovich he will have his teams to compete but I don't see them make the playoffs again even though I could see them contend for the play-in tournament and they do have some nice young players which I think they do have one of the best defensive backcourt in the league in Dejounte Murray and Derrick White they are not flashy but they play fundamentals basketball, and defensively they will get on you give the opposing players fits. The Spurs do have some other young players such as Keldon Johnson who is a good wing defender plus they also have Devin Vassell a potential 3&D type of player, and don't forget they draft a back up point guard in Tre Johnson who I think will be a solid back up for years to come.
One of the players might keep an eye out that now that DeMar DaRozan and Rudy Gay is not on the team that might have a breakout season make that big jump, and the player I am talking about is Lonnie Walker. My question is will he finally get enough playing time because looking at the roster you got Keldon Johnson, Derrick White(More of a combo guard.), and Devin Vessell will be fighting for playing time at both SG and SF positions I guess we wait and see what happens but anyways I expect this team to compete but not make the playoffs maybe contend for a play-in tournament but that is about it.

21. New Orleans Pelicans
Can someone please answer my question that what the fuck the New Orleans Pelicans are doing? This past off-season they take a step back roster wise you think they put more talent surrounding Zion Williams but they take a step back look at their moves this past off-season.
Lonzo Ball we all know that he is very likely gone you think they could get at least something decent in return they didn't pull the trigger in a trade at the deadline this past year but I would have think maybe they try to get more in the off-season in terms of assets especially they got leverage, and he was a restricted free agent but boy was I wrong. They dealt Lonzo Ball to the Bulls for Temple, Tomas, and I believe a 2nd rounder that's it Lonzo and Zion are good friends as well won't make him happy either you could at least ask for a first rounder but nope I would be forgiven if they sign Kyle Lowry which rumors/reports they were interest to sign with Kyle Lowry but that didn't happen either. Instead they sign Devonte Graham who can't defend a rock, and he is a average playmaker the only thing that fits on the team that they do need a three point shooter which he can provides that.
What else they do in the off-season? Well they did trade Steven Adams to acquired Jonas Valanciunas which both are solid players but in terms of fits doesn't make anyways sense they need a center that can spread the floor to compliment with Zion. I guess it will be ok for certain matchups and situation but that is about it. Take Zion Williams out of the team they will be playing for the worst record in the league this season even if they only have Brandan Ingram but with Zion I think this season compete for the play-in tournament to get the last two spot in the playoffs in the Western Conferences, and oh yeah that's right they also have a new head coach who been an assistance coach in the league for a while Willie Green so there is that too. Will Zion finally sniff in the playoffs finally after missing the playoffs the last two years? We see what happens....

Unlike Zion Williams that Ja Morant have got his team to the playoffs, and they really haven't done much to improved the team. They did trade Jonas Valanciunas to New Orleans for Steven Adams both play the same positions but different type of players, and they did acquire Kris Dunn even though their depth charts at the point guard positions is pretty crowded already.
I see this team fight for a playoff spot again possible to get in the play-in tournament to get the last two spot of the playoffs once again as long their stars mainly Ja Morant and their important player Jaren Jackson can stay healthy they compete for the play-in tournament to get the last couple spots to the playoffs other then that as I stated earlier they haven't done much to improve the team to make that jump to the ladder. If anything maybe just maybe they may get the sixth seed for the Western Conferences.

19. Charlotte Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets finally got something to be excited for they finally got a franchise player in LaMelo Ball who was last year rookie of the year. Hornets fans should be exited for this season with LaMelo Ball entering his second season which last season they were close to make the playoffs but got eliminated in the play in tournament by against the Indiana Pacers no doubt in my mind they were contend for the play in tournament again, and maybe this time make the playoffs could see them get the 8 or 7 seed in the Eastern Conferences.
They do have some solid players such as Gordon Haywood(if he can stay healthy.), Miles Bridge, Kelly Oubre who they pick off in free agency, and PJ Washington. Problem with this team they have no scorer on this team unless LaMelo take that role and score efficiently can’t always rely on Haywood maybe James Bouknight who they just draft this past year draft but got to rely on a rookie. Terry Rozier if he keeps improving and stay consistent maybe. Interior defense is another issue yes they pick up Mason Plumlee but he is never know as a shot blocker maybe JT Thorn might provide that which I think is a solid pick.
But either way it should be exciting time for Hornets fans

18. Washington Wizards
Last season the Washington are one of the teams take care business from playin tournament to clinch the 8th seed in the playoffs which they got eliminated the first round against the 76ers. New season, some additional new players and they also have a new head coach Wes Unseld Jr.
No John Wall and no Russell Westbrook no on the ball dominate point guard on the roster for this season but they did sign and \I think they overpaid Spencer Dwindle but hey not my money right? Spencer Dwindle is not a bad player by any mean he is a solid player can shoot the ball, handle the rock, decent defender, and good size. They make some other addition as wells they acquire Kyle Kuzma, Caldwell Pope, & Montrezl Harrell via trade they add some depth mainly at the center positions, and shooting guard which Pope as a backup obvious.
Looking the roster it isn’t that bad and they will contend for at least the play in tournament as long Bradley Beal can stay healthy.

17. Indiana PacersThe biggest off-season signing for the Indiana Pacers is that they sign and bring back as their new head coach Rick Carlisle whom is a very good head coach. Blindy did call it and boom Rick Carlisle return to the Pacers after shocking he resign with the Mavericks. Now, onto the roster they have no superstars but they do have lot of solid players Domantas Sabonis, Malcolm Brogdon, TJ Warren, Myles Turner, Caris LeVert(if he can stay healthy.), & etc. Speaking Caris LeVert which as of right now is out with an injury which they hope they have him back sooner than later they have lot of players who are not flashy, nor are superstars as I mentioned earlier but they haVe lot of players that will compete, and plays hard keep an eye on the Pacers they are going to annoying teams to be feisty, and play hard Im almost sure it will kinda get mikec excited for this season. No doubt in mind they will be one of the teams to compete from the play in tournament hell maybe get the 6th seed in the playoffs from the Eastern Conferences.

16. Portland Trail Blazers
I will be honest I really want to rank the Blazers at the bottom feeder because the front office haven’t done much to improved the team from the last few years. But as long Damian Lillard is on the team this team will contend for at least the play in tournament don’t get me wrong they have some solid players CJ McCollum, Jusuf Nurkić, Norman Powell, Robert Covington, & Larry Lance which majority of the roster are either the worst defensive players, or just average.
Oh, and sign a new head coach who I think spend one season as assistant coach Chauncey Billups I still don’t know what to think with that hiring hope he is a better coach than someone like Jason Kidd.

15. Boston Celtics
There were some changes started from the front office when Danny Angie announce his retirement so Brad Stevens resign as head coach, and was Danny Angie’s replace as the new President of basketball operation his first move hired Ime Udoka as their new head coach.
The organization did bring Al Horford back on the squad, and sign Dennis Schröder to a one year after he failed to get what he wants aka he thinks he worths I believe $100 million. Anyways, they also acquire Josh Richardson who is a solid defender but his jump shot was broken since he was traded to the Mavs at the time the team still have some talent mainly Jayson Tatum & Jaylen Brown plus don’t forget they still have Marcus Smart, Robert Williams, & etc.
I think this team will be the middle pack in the playoffs say maybe 5 or 4 seed at most in the eastern conference wouldn’t surprise me that they contend for a playin tournament question remain is can Tatum and Brown can stay healthy? Jaylen Brown who have his best season his career from last season before he have a season ending injury. If he can stay healthy and get back where he was to take pressure off Jayson Tatum I say 5 or 4 see in the East maybe 6 seed but if not possible contend to a play in tournament.
Also we see how Ime Udoka will do as the head coach…

14. New York KnicksLast season the New York Knicks return to the postseason for the first time for quite awhile I am sure that Blindy, KING KID, & Ed are hyped for this coming season. As I mentioned earlier the Knicks return to the playoffs which they got the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference last year but was eliminated in the first round against the Atlanta Hawks. The Knicks bring majority of the players from last season back they resign Taj Gibson, Alec Burks, Nerlens Noel, Derrick Rose(Overpaid at this point especially knowing his injury history.), and Julius Randle who have his best season from his career last year despite his poor playoffs performance. I can’t fault the\ team giving Randle the money they do needs talent. The Knicks also have some new additions they sign Kemba Walker to a one year deal, and to be their starting point guard. He also have have knee injury history but I can’t fault the team to take a chance to sign him, and at the very least they only sign him to a one year deal so there is that. The other free agent they pick up was Evan Fournier I understand why they sign him but I probably look other options before I sign him maybe that’s just me. Knicks will be no push overs knowing Thibs he will get his team to compete and play hard again this season I expect the Knicks to make the postseason but with even bring almost entire team back with some new additions I dunno it’s enough to get back to the 4th seed in the East this year if anything I could see the team go lower maybe 6th seed but I could be wrong. I do know as I stated this team will be no push over if RJ Barrett can take another leap that will benefit the team.

My fear with Thibs is the routine 9-10 rotation he will run out there of ROSE-FOURNIER-BARRETT-RANDLE-NOEL with GIBSON, BURKS, M. ROBINSON, TOPPIN and QUICKLEY out there despite having rookies like Grimes, McBride and J Sims available. I would like to see Sims go to DLeague and develop but I really hope McBride gets some looks as Rose's backup instead of throwing Derrick out there 35 minutes a night just because. Same with Grimes, he might be the best pure shooter on this side and we saw vs Atlanta, the lack of reliable perimeter shooting hurt the team in the long haul.
Really wish he'd expand on the roster usage, especially on back to backs. Especially for that.

13. Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls have a very busy off-season, and on paper they are a playoff team. Contenders? Honestly no but a playoff team? Yes but they have to play the game to see how that plays out.
Bulls fans such myself are excited this season which we haven’t been excited for quite sometime now probably this is the most talent we have seen for quite sometime. Granted there is no superstars but a talent young players on the roster with some experience players such as Nikola Vučević who they acquired in a trade from last season at the trade deadline then in free agency they sign DeMar DaRozan granted lot of media and others question that the team overpaid him which I tend to agree but hey not my money and it’s only a 3 years deal. Don’t forget the Bulls finally found a point guard which they haven’t have one since Derrick Rose which they sign Lonzo Ball and they also sign Alex Caruso which I criticize the $ they give him but again it’s nit my money.
Ur there is a question about this team beside chemistry it’s the defensive end. At the very least I see this team contend a play in tournament, or at 5 maybe 4 seed in the Eastern Conference wouldn’t surprise if it’s the 6th seed but either way should be a interesting season for the Bulls.

12. Denver Nuggets
I was debating which team rank 12 or 11 which both teams have their key players out with the injury, and it’s unknown if a player will play this season. Jamal Murray who have a hell a season last year before the injury but now with a torn ACL it’s unknown he play at all this season, and even then it takes time for a player to get back his old self after recovering these type of injury.
Granted they still have their best player healthy, and on the team who won the MVP last season Nikola Jokić. But he is going to need help to take pressure off him someone is going have to be that secondary guy someone have to filled that Jamal Murray role until he gets back Michael Porter Jr. could be that player he have the skill set to take pressure off the Joker and he did have a solid season last year. Will Barton? Maybe if he can stay healthy and learn to a good consistent shooter that will help as well.
They do have Aaron Gordon whom they acquire in a trade at the deadline from last season. Either way I would have the Nuggets in the top ten if Jamal Murray was healthy but I still think they can get the 4 or 5 seed playoffs in the Western conferences maybe 6 seed but wouldn’t surprise me they drop to 6th seed.

11. LA Clippers
The LA Clippers is that another team I was debating those teams I should rank at 12, or 11.
Just like the Denver Nuggets the Clippers are going to play without their star players most if not all this season Kawhi Leonard which again it is unknown if he is going to play at all this season which he is dealing the same injury Jamal Murray he is dealing with. The only difference is the Clippers are going to play without their best player on the team and one of the best player in the league and just like the Nuggets if the claw was healthy I would have rank the Clippers in the top 10 maybe top 5.
Anyhow the Clippers have a solid roster might be a bit deeper than the Nuggets good enough to make the playoffs of course Paul George have to play his best that he ever play to carried that team all season long. I am not going to bother mention playoff PG so I leave it as that.

10. Philadelphia 76ers
Last season the 76ers got the number one seed in the Eastern Conference but was disappointed when they got eliminated in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals against the Atlanta Hawks whom is the number five seed in the East in the postseason from early this year when the series went to seven.
After the Philadelphia 76ers got eliminated in the playoffs that lot of people including the media criticized Ben Simmons, and rightfully so. If you haven’t follow the whole Ben Simmons saga that reports he wants out the organization he demand to be traded which he didn’t report to camp at first even though now there are reports that he rejoins the team so there is that but either way I still see the 76ers be a top 3, or top 5 team in the Eastern Conferences with, or without Ben Simmons as long Joel Embiid can stay healthy.
They make some additions but not much to improved the team they did sign Andre Drummond who will backing up Joel Embiid but that’s about it. iMO this team is trending water until they move Ben Simmons, or at least he is willing to shoot the ball and improve his free throw and oh show his maturity too.

9. Dallas Mavericks
I laughed when Mark Cuban say from couple months ago, or so that he believed his team have improved. Uh no he basically bring majority of the team back only difference is they have a new head coach in Jason Kidd which is a downgrade, and they sign Reggie Bullock which is a decent pick but nothing to brag about. The only smart move that Mark Cuban done this past offseason beside giving Luka the max contract extension is they resign Tim Hardaway.
The Mavs are once again going to bank on Kristaps Porziņģis to stay healthy to help put pressure off Luka and even Tim Hardaway for that matter. Luka will carried the team to the playoff again and with the uncertainly regarding Clippers stars play thus season and the Nuggets too which is why I rank the Mavs a little higher than both the Clippers and Nuggets and who knows Luka might get past the first round finally.

8. Atlanta Hawks
Atlanta Hawks shock the world when they eliminated the number one seed the Philadelphia 76ers which they reach to the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Hawks didn’t really do much in the off-season beside resign John Collins which despite me thinking he is overpaid but it’s a good move for the Hawks to get what he wants keeping him than lose him for nothing, and open a big hole at the four spot. The team banking the same team from last season for this season and I do think they are the top five teams in the Eastern Conferences but other teams like the Bulls, Celtics, or even the Knicks maybe knocking on the door.
Trae Young will carried the team but sooner than later Hawks need to bring another player that can create his own shot off the dribble to not only take the pressure off Trae Young but give him a little breather he was gas out against the Bucks at the ECF need another ball handler. Cam Reddish could be that guy but so far he have been disappointing.
