The replies I am reading make it out like AEW did something absolutely horrible by doing this and compare it to be racist.

It's the usual twitter responses. A lot of whataboutisms, fans feeling offended, others finding it funny or cracking jokes about E-drones converting Christianity just to dunk on AEW.

I don't think it would have received as much attention had SRS not made that post, especially not after it prompted a response from Bischoff.

It was most likely intentional because AEW is usually praised for its small details. And a week ago Tony talked about doing something about Rampage to make it a must see show.

I thought about saying something about if it didn't feature a title change then nothing would change. The rest of the card could have been dark matches. The Gunn Club got a jobber entrance while BCC got three entrances. A impromptu squash match. A match between a signed and unsigned talent. They had to do something in the world title match.

Pretty fun rampage about to fire.

Solid episode. No big surprises but excellent matches. Ishii vs Cole was even better than I expected.

Last year Fire and Flava were Impact tag team champions. Currently Tasha Steelz is the knockout world champion and Kiera is fanning another woman with fake money.

They’re going to throw millions at her when her contract is up.

What Jade really has going is you can see her improve month to month. Took her some time, but he is fine now in the ring, and may be great in the future.

WWE likely gonna try to get her next year when the contract is up.

And I wouldn't be surprised if they fail. Like Jade herself has pointed out, she doesn't need more money. She's already very wealthy from whatever her husband does, and she just wants to wrestle as a passion thing. What AEW affords her with a lighter schedule is the ability to spend more time with family, which the WWE "grind you into paste" schedule famously does not allow.

They should have just let Archer music continue to play during the match.

No chance Jade jumps.  Tony took a chance on her and Vince did not.  Also WWE will likely offer her NXT again, which I am not sure she would go for.  I mean why go from a being a champion to the WWE training territory?  

There is always a chance and actually a decent chance. She was a Cody/Brandi project that worked out. So she may go to where he is at if they don't kill his momentum by then.

And unless something changes women can't advance too much in AEW.

Every match doesn't need to be around 20 minutes.  You know you are on a hour show with about three matches so you should shoot around 15 minutes max. They have enough people to fill out another two hour show. Maybe move to Saturday to 6 EST. And on PPV weekends may use it as way to show the Buy In show.

Wrong thread

Well since I already wasted a spot. I know want to steal the show but when you are the least important match sometimes you should stay in your line. Seeing Ishii fight in AEW was a dream for some. And Jade both had a milestone match and a rare women mainevent spot. Going long could have got one of them cut down as well.

Makes sense.  They were working 20 minutes in the indy run.  And really, why not go all out for these shows for the live crowd when you can edit later?  For rampage this would be a good idea for many of the matches.  Give the girls 20 live and air 10 live 20 on youtube.  Let them show off in more complex matches than TV will really give them.  No reason they cannot allow PPV quality matches on the b shows that are clipped for TV but show full online.  Tony should be trying to get creative with his limitations.
