Shesterkin has really gone to the next level this season, he has just been insanely good. He got fucked over on the first Florida goal which should have been ruled out for interference. I'm sure Zappy wasn't too happy to see no one sticking up for him when he got run over.

K'Andre's goal was fucking sick. He's been a bit mixed to start this season so hopefully that gives him a bit of a kick in the right direction.

Kreider's got more goals than McDavid now. He doesn't do a whole lot else but absolutely dominates with that net front position on the power play. He'll probably have one of those long stretches where he completely disappears, but really he should be scoring 50 goals this season.

Another concerning third period fade out but overall excellent to get a win over a really good Florida team.

I think I've learnt that you can't really place too much importance on a single win in terms of being a turning point or momentum builder, but if there ever was one tonight's win for the Rangers has to be up there. One of the biggest narratives so far has been Laffy & Kakko not taking the step up but they both came through tonight, particularly KK who was awesome. Georgiev has probably been the most maligned Ranger so it was nice to see him play a big role too with a couple of great saves in that electric shootout.

Positives: three goals from defenders, Kreider continuing his torrid PP form (and not even from the netfront this time!), Kakko continuing to score
Negatives: Tinordi (he is just absolutely terrible, we have got to start playing Zac Jones or Hajek when Lundkvist needs a rest) and Georgiev (who looks completely broken)

Jason Spezza gets six games for attempting to murder Pionk. Suspension is deserved but at the same time, compared to other decisions DOPS has made, it doesn’t make sense. Spezza has never been suspended and he got more games than a known goon who bit someone? More games than every Kadri suspension? I dunno man.
