It's been a rough year for my Jackets so far. To think just a few years ago we were sweeping Tampa in the playoffs to now just barely holding our heads above water.

Lots of missed opportunities on net though Forsberg was on top of his game. Stutzle also looks like he's gonna be a beast for years to come.

I'm watching Montreal/Minnesota and it's fucking hilarious. It's like the Wild are playing a beer league team. I haven't seen any Montreal games other than when they played the Leafs early on and my god are they bad. Minnesota is just doing whatever they want. Shots were 30-8 at one point (30-15 now) but it's 4-1 Wild and they've literally spent the last 7 or 8 minutes just fucking around trying to keep possession and be fancy. They've passed it through Montreal players' legs more than once in the time I've been watching. It's unreal.

Put the game on in the background at work today but I gave up watching after the 2nd period at 0-3. Ended up being a 0-6 blowout loss to the Flames. Most interesting moment I got to see was Markstrom tallying a tripping penalty on Voracek but otherwise this game was completely fucked on both sides of the ice.

I've been playing a lot of NHL 21 recently and rekindled an old love for hockey. Still getting familiarized with all the new players around the league. Crosby/Ovechkin being in their mid-30's now doesn't feel right to me for some reason.

Prepare to get rinsed again tomorrow night rad 😈 56 saves by Merzlikins in that game too. Certainly can't blame him!

Just tuning in to the final period of the late game having finished all my work for the day. Colorado trailing 3-1 to Boston and have lost MacKinnon with a broken nose. Avs loss will open the door for NYR to go back top of the league in points.

Sucky time to come back when Columbus is underachieving but they have a ballsy GM that will rebuild quickly and efficiently. The next couple years could be very interesting in CBJ land.

Damn I really jinxed it. Looked like an easy win going up 2-0 in the first five minutes and I think the boys thought the same thing and completely downed tools. That's the first regulation loss against a team in the bottom half of the standings so it's hardly a persistent problem, but tonight showed that even inferior teams will make you pay if you ease up. Hopefully a bounce back tomorrow night for Hank's retirement celebration, even if we're without Foxy for a while.

Highlight was Sam accidentally calling Boone Jenner "Bruce" :lol:

At least I can listen to hockey games on my google home device. MUCH NEEDED RELIABILITY!

Leafs were down 4-2 in the 2nd and playing like shit so I switched it to the Royal Rumble.

They won 7-4.

I certainly hope so. I'd be happy with them just reaching a Cup finals sometime soon. Hopefully some of that recent Bengals magic can make it's way 2 hours up the road. Jackets are in a small market but with such a dedicated fan base I'm hoping they don't move our only hockey team due to decades of mediocrity.

If they can't make it this year I'll be rooting for any Canadian team not named Montreal to take that big beer urn, hopefully your Leafs. Canada needs its trophy back.

The way things are going you might not have a choice but to cheer for Toronto haha. They’re currently the only Canadian team in a playoff spot.

Flames are close but behind both STL and Dallas for the wild card. Oilers had a terrible slump but are rebounding. Would be cool to see both Alberta teams duking it out for a wild card spot.

Edmonton have fired Dave Tippett. McDavid has got to force his way out at some stage doesn't he?

Another solid win tonight led by the defence and Igor. Fox and Lindgren were excellent and Braden Schneider has been a total revelation. Even Nemeth was decent. The offence is quiet and the lack of depth (particularly at RW) is really being exposed, but they keep grinding out the points.

Tonight might have been the most satisfying win I've enjoyed yet as a Rangers fan. OUR GOOD RUSSIANS BEAT YOUR BAD MEAN RUSSIANS.

Igor continues to be godly, Laffy had one of his best games yet and is flourishing on the top line, Barron was solid and absolutely should stay up to help the third line, and did I mention IGOR SHESTERKIN? Never mind just the Vezina, he's going to be challenging for the Hart the way he's playing.

Good win for the Rangers tonight to end their mini skid - nice to win a game against good opposition that didn't rely on Shesterkin being especially incredible for a change. Great to see Laffy continuing his good form, for all the worrying about him, the stat that is doing the rounds tonight is that he has the same amount of 5v5 goals as McDavid did through their first 108 games played.
