He misspelt Eddie Guerrero's name as "Eddy" but has no shame in throwing Del Sol out for that. I just think there was a better way to address that. Same with Amanda Huber who made it seem like because Del Sol wasn't checking up on her and the family as much as some others might have, that him bringing up Huber/Brodie Lee's name in the tweet is clout chasing and insincere. She should be happy his legacy is still holding on strong with ex coworkers of his.

Kenny vs the guy from Dark Order was a fun match. Nice way to kick off the show.

Followed up by a barrage of promos. First CM Punk, with a well-crafted promo that was both heartfelt and genuine (towards Jon Moxley) and then a nice hard verbal shot against Eddie Kingston. It feels like CM Punk is an ambassador of AEW and its philosophy. The former voice of the voiceless is now the voice of AEW.

Nice promos from Miro, Malakai, Kris Statlander, Ruby Soho, and whoever else I'm forgetting. There were a lot of backstage segments in a row, all good.

FTR vs Luchadores is entertaining me for the wrong reasons. Luchadores tagging in using Mexican rules (i.e. enter the ring whenever the fuck you like, and clap your hands to act like a tag, it's fine), and the referee being very very confused. They weren't on the same page with FTR either, FTR having to pause to wait for spots, Luchadores preparing their fancy moves faster than FTR were able to be ready for them. Just a complete clash of styles.

The Inner Circle's trash talk isn't very good. Sammy "The Spanish God" Guevara doesn't understand Spanish either, but that translation was funny. And yeah, blatantly obvious they would choose Dan Lambert. I'm not too big on this macho-dick-waving-trash-talk style of feud, but it has its place, it's different from everything else.

I liked the first minute or two of Anna Jay vs Jamie Hayter, then it became a generic heel vs face match with a generic cheating finish.

MJF needs to trim down his promos, he can talk too much and get repetitive, but the content of his speech against Darby Allin was very good indeed. Sting and his army of ... dweebs? ... didn't really work for me.

Cody vs Andrade was fun. Didn't overstay its welcome. Surprising finish, but in a good way. Last time Andrade got help to win a match, he beat the shit out of the guy who helped him and then fired him. His integrity dropped pretty quickly.

On the one hand, booking your important main event to be under 10 minutes, with 3 of those minutes in a commercial break isn't great. On the other hand, what they did with those 10 minutes was fantastic. They told a great story. Some fantastic false finishes. I actually thought Orange Cassidy was going to win by countout, a one in a million time where a countout tease actually works. Then an awesome finishing stretch. The way Miro was selling after the Beach Break was great. Then the Game Over ends the match instantly. Great work. If there's a short match MOTY, that would be high up on the list.
