Totally forgot this was on tonight so missed it. Heel American Dragon is gonna be a lot of fun. As will be him destroying the Dark Order to burn time to the title match.
Punk and MJF will be a ton of fun.

Wonder if Caster rap got edited because I am surprised he didn't mention how often he retires. He did that on Dark. Probably didn't want to repeat himself. That was a great episode. One of the best they've had. Lethal should have won. Put him in the Inner Circle. Not surprising he always seems to do his best raps on dark.

It was good to see Danielson drop any niceties and make it clear that he wants to win the AEW Championship. I don't blame him for being upset that he didn't get an opportunity at Omega, but it appears we'll be waiting sometime as Kenny goes on his much needed sabbatical. I'm just glad Bryan isn't trying to play nicely and that for the sake of business he's willing to make it personal. I'm interested to see how Page responds, with Omega he seemed like the kid who knew all the answers and just aced his exam - I think he's going to have to find another level.
A decent showing from Uno in his loss against Danielson. Danielson laid into him but to Uno's credit he kept coming back albeit he was no match for Danielson who continued to show how vicious he is in AEW.
Ishii made a strong AEW debut in his tag match with Orange Cassidy against The Butcher and the Blade. As JR noted, the Butcher is looking in career best shape and they appear to have stepped it up a notch only for Ishii to make the difference. I'm not sure what this partnership for the Best Friends means for AEW, but I suspect it's going to have more of an impact in NJPW and I can see OC having a similar run as Cheeseburger did a few years back.
A frustrating night at the office for Shida. Nyla clearly went in with a very cynical gameplan but it paid off thanks largely to Serena Deeb. Dare I say that Shida/Deeb have built themselves the best women's rivalry in AEW this year and I'm glad we've got an opportunity for a rubber match. Unfortunately I think the TBS Tournament drew the short straw here. Highlight of the segment was Nyla getting into it with a child in the crowd - a continuation of an apparent social media feud.
It's only a matter of time before MJF gets another shot at the AEW Championship. This is a big opportunity here with CM Punk and unless they really draw the build up you'd imagine the winner will go onto face for the AEW Championship at Revolution. Very curious to see these two go at it on the microphone, I think Punk has his work cut out for him in that department.
I thought both Dante Martin, Lio Rush and the Acclaimed were impressive in their tag team match. The pity for teams like the Acclaimed and The Butcher and the Blade is that they rarely get an opportunity against a quality tag team. It really is feast or famine and there's a few teams that just seem a little lost in the shuffle. With that said good back and forth match, and Dante/Rush will make great opponents for the Lucha Brothers if they get their opportunity. It appears they'll have to go through Team Taz who want to get their hands on Dante Martin. A nice pick, but you'd have to say the way they went about it cast serious doubt on their chances of snagging him. I think Team Taz could do with some fresh blood though and I hope Taz can scout some on Dark because they could use the opportunity.
What happened to Private Party?
Guevara/Lethal - It's a shame neither guy was at 100%. Both the rib injury and the knee injury to Lethal really prevented both guys from really going out, but it did also show the resilience of Sammy as well as the expertise of Lethal who was impressive on debut despite the loss. Lethal is one of those guys who is long past due and while he has some serious allegations hanging over his head I think performances like that will make it easier for the AEW audience to give him the benefit of the doubt. It will be interesting to see how this Guevara reign plays out, I remember Cena's 2015 Open Challenge opened the doors for a very out-spoken French Canadian wrestler and I get the feeling that we may see something similar down the road.
We're off and running on the road to Revolution 2022.

How he has the free time to do that, his work at the Jags and with Fullham, lord knows.

Was going to joke about them being last place or near last place. But I guess you can work really had and still be near last.

Watched this today, loved the Danielson and Hangman stuff. Loved to see Danielson take the heel role and Hangman has a real everyman feel to him. I really dig it. He is not really larger than life and looks like a southern guy who is fighting as hard as he can to survive in a world full of larger than life people. Sure he has the Dark Order, but while they have heart, they are not going to be able to hang with people like Jericho or Danielson. They are the underdogs, and one thing I love about a good face, is a true underdog.
Was glad to see the crowd so behind Hangman and booing Danielson. Hope he can keep the crowd on his side. Page is really in a place where this can go eitherway for him now. Glad to see AEW held true though and remained dedicated to him to complete the angle though.

I’m not 100% on the Danielson heel turn if that is going to stick and it seems that it is, by turning him you limit him because he now can’t work heels whereas as a stiff working baby he could work both sides of the roster.
Also think it massively destroys any belief I had he could take the belt off Page because they’ve just done 8-9 months of a heel reign and will be unlikely to return to a heel champion for a stint of time, atleast in a baby v baby scenario I could see Danielson taking the belt then going into a triple threat scenario with Omega.
Anyone else got the vice Omega will turn upon returning?

Kenny wants to return in Feb but depends on how the surgeries goes and his recovery. He was told to take as much time as he needs. Being reported he is getting minor surgery on his shoulder, knee and possibly nose.
Poor Butcher injured again, this time with a torn bicep.
