As frustrating as that all was, at least that was the "correct" decision in terms of how that rule has been called for a number of years now. Obviously all very frustrating because I think to anyone's mind that is a catch and a touchdown, but it actually would have been much more inconsistent for that to have stood. I'd also like to say that the rule kinda sucks, but I'm not really sure how they can change it to make it less subjective. The way it is now seems about as clear cut as it possibly can be, even if it's annoying. That's fine/I know... I'm just too angry to be rational right now. I want everything to burn!

Jerry Richardson just announced that he's gonna put the Panthers up for sale at the end of this season.
I guess this has to do with the allegations against him.

If Steelers make it back to Foxboro, even if we do the usual there, I hope we ate least take Brady's knees and then burn that motherfucking place to ashes. Really? Wishing for injury...awesome. You guys had to have known that the Steelers always find someway to piss on themselves. This shouldn't shock you.

I expected Dak to really be able to shred this poor Oakland defence after hearing he had a better game this week but he's been very underwhelming so far. Dallas has things well in hand because the Raiders are so poor, but he's really not looking good.

I can't believe this game is tied. Selfishly, I want the Raiders to win so their season is still alive and Zeke comes back for nothing but at the same time, I want nothing more then the Seahawks to miss the playoffs.

Turns out that extending the ball after completing a catch no longer qualifies as a football move, fuck the refs. I don’t remember the play fully, but didn’t we already know this from Dez in Green Bay? Catch rules suck, took a TD away from Kareem Hunt yesterday too. Apparently the ball cant touch the ground at any point even if you have clear control before it touches.

I guess I'll be cheering for the Bills to make the playoffs and make some noise now that Houston and Washington and Oakland are out of it. I can't believe they haven't made it to the playoffs since 1999! That's a long damn time bro.
San Francisco beating Tennessee was so great, in that moment when the FG was good Marriota's chin quivered a little bit and it looked like he was about to legit start crying. Jimmy G is going to be good I think.
And holy shit how 'bout Case Keenum? What a performance, I'll be rooting for him in the playoffs too. Proof that you really need about 5 good years to develop into your true potential in the NFL as a quarterback. Texans bailed on him way too soon and brought in some garbage looking for a quick instant fix.

Fucking Raiders being the Raiders. That's why they were the laughingstock of the league for over a decade.

Of course we get this dumbass rule to finish up today's football. Perfectly sums up the shambles that was today in the NFL.

I have no earthly idea why that’s a touchback, but also that was a pretty dumb play by Derek Carr.

Evidently that WASN'T supposed to be a fake spike at the end, someone radio'd into Ben "Don't clock it." Which is why the play looked so jacked.

It was third down so his initial reaction to spike the ball would have been a mistake, albeit not as big as the one to throw the ball into all that traffic. It needed to be a fade to the corner where the chances of an interception would have been so much lower.

No one is kicking a tying field goal on third down when you have a chance to win the game. 🤷

Too much confusion in Ben's headset? No timeouts left, if he gets stopped you don't have time to get the field goal team out for the kick.

FInally watched the Jesse James reversal. I barely understand NFL catch rules, but that seems pretty consistent with all of them.
The Roethlisberger pass that ended the game though? Woof. That’s on him. Every team is going to run a play there, and most of the QBs in the league know to throw that ball out of the end zone and take the field goal. It wasn’t there and he forced it.

Rooting for a Bucs victory tonight to liven up the NFC playoff race. Their chances are probably helped by Doug Martin being a scratch for violating team rules - he's had a very poor season and you'd think will be looking for a new team for next season. What a bizarre career he's had, two 1400 yard seasons and now three 400 yard seasons.

I know he's very inconsistent but seeing that beautiful pocket movemement by Winston and the great contested catch in double coverage by Evans really makes you wonder how this Bucs team has been so big-play deficient this season, especially when they have D-Jax on the other side.

Matty Ice really not impressive again tonight. Not terrible but leaving a number of plays out on the field. Packers ears starting to prick up with Tampa only trailing by three heading to the fourth quarter.

Falcons got very lucky there, refs failing to call them for delay of game holding down Brate after his catch, and then the ref slipping over costing Tampa the chance to run another play before the FG attempt.
Freeman put his team on his back today with 200 total yards, he was really the only impressive Atlanta player tonight.
