Final Battle: End of an Era got all messed up with Bandito getting COVID.  Believed Khan will send them Jay Lethal and a few other former talent to give them a good show.   Could be an interesting PPV given it does open the window for American Dragon or even Punk to return, along with a ton of other guys.

Edit:

Confirmed already that main event will see Lethal replace Bandito.  Believed the 10 man preshow match will become RoH vs Dark Order or something with a bunch of AEW guying in to prop up the show.

Related to this AEW also was contacted by WWE and Tony agreed to keep communication open so former WWE stars can come back and due non-wrestling projects with WWE, like Stone Cold's podcast or documentary things. Khan said it will be a case by case basis, but if it is stuff he approves of he will let guys go back.

Seems like Khan is becoming the hidden kingpin of wrestling with his ties to everyone now.

Big Dick Tony is here to stay.

Lot of people talking about this show now. Impact will be sending people as well. Some are speculating American Wolves vs reDragon will be on the show.  Very real possibility Punk and Dragon show up.

Many treating this as the final RoH show since the future looks weird and if it is the end, want to go out with a bang.

Kind of strange the same people that were wrestling when I stopped watching RoH 10 years back are still wrestling.  This PPV is looking like a mercy killing, but the crowd is hot as hell for it.

Cool shit from commentary hyping up how these guys are fighting over limited spots in AEW, Impact and WWE so they need wins or they may not have work anymore.  

Match is fairly basic TLC match.  But fucking King looks great.  Taylor looks good, but old man King is killing it.   HOLY SHIT sick fucking headbutt to package piledriver to King through a ladder.  Match really heating up now.   Kenny tells to Taylor to finish him and takes a chair shot then a package piledriver on a chair for the finish.  Damn fun match.  Post match King and Taylor hug, great moment.  


PUNKER!!!  Punk gets his promo on RoH.


Rok-C  vs. Willow now.  Hyped for this.  Two and up and coming girls.

Great match so far, story is Willow knows Rok-C and is countering all her shit and outpowering her.  Some amazing fucking counter wrestling.  Fuck these girls are great.  Match is so damn technical.  Rok-C changes up her moves to get an advantage but sucks a nasty ass pounce for a two.  Willow counters the Code Rok into a backdrop driver.   Crowd hot for both girls.  Willow hits a stalling superplex and moonsault for two.   Rok-C with a high knee into Code Rok to retain.  Great fucking match.  

DEONNA IS HERE!!!  Says she wants the RoH title.  Says when he beats Mickie James, she will put the AAA and TNA title on the line against Rok-C!!!

VLNCE UNLTD (Brody King, Homicide, Tony Deppen) & Rocky Romero vs. Foundation (Tracy Williams, Taylor Rust, & Eli Isom) and EC3 now.

Average match until Cide breaks out the fork and starts to stab EC3.  Then becomes a ton of huge spots of past RoH finishers and trademarks including BRAINBUSTER!!!, Cattle Mutilation, Muscle Buster, ect.  Cide hits the Cop Killah!!!  Ok, now this got my attention.  Isom kicks out of the Cop Killah at 2 and the match is still on.  Isom takes the Gonzo bomb for a 3.  Wow that got crazy fast.  

Rocky with a promo saying there is no honor in wrestling and RoH is a lie with wrestling giving it all for three letter companies who do not care about them.  Ge says their leaders abandoned them and they lose their jobs while their leaders backstage keep their jobs.  This is fucking fire.  Says the people left in RoH have nothing else to lose.  Says the wrestlers need to take control of their destinies and they are the leaders they been waiting for.   Def worth hunting down.  This is his pipebomb.  Says to free the titan and BRAUN STROWMAN IS HERE!!!  He lays out the RoH guys in the ring.  Rocky says this is an awakening.  Braun lays out Eli and carries him away.

Briscoes vs Matt Taven & Mike Bennett up now.  OMG not seen the Briscoes in a while they look like 60 years old.   Maria back with the Bennett.  Cary on commentary.  

Match is what you would expect.  Funny they thanks everyone involved with the fed Gabe, Hunter, Pierce, Cornette, ect.  No mention of RF.   Jay bleeding for no reason, think he just got busted open.   Mark hits the flog elbow for a three but Maria pulls the ref out.  Piledriver on Jay on the outside.  Doomsday Device from OGK through the ropes for two.   Hail Mary but Jay breaks it up.  Jay Driller now but Mike rolls out.  Jay Driller on Matt but he kicks out.  Doomsday on Taven but he kicks out.  Wow this is getting hot. Taven says they got to kill him.  Another Jay Driller followed by the elbow for the 3.  Fun match.  Brisceo family celebrating from ringside.  No team more RoH than Brisceos so good to see them leave as the final champions.  Loud chants for Brisceos and they do a thank you promo.  Call out any tag team and lights go off.  Fiend?  NOPE FTR is here and attacks the Brisceos.  Now this is a FTR match I could be down for.  Security seperates them.  Assume this will be a AEW or AAA match.

Show started weak but got pretty damn as it went on.  Good farewell overall.  The videos were good.  

New era of RoH starts in April 2022.  

Nice to see Gresham be the final ROH World champ under this era of the company.

And nice to see the Briscoes, ROH's greatest tag team, hold the belts again. If it does lead to the closing of ROH's doors, the Briscoes as the last tag team champs is a fitting end.

Well, RoH returns in April 2022. But they are billing this as the end of an era, and it feels like they do not plan on most people returning.

Down with Gresham and Brisceos walking with the belts. Ditto for Rok-C. Looks like the titles will be going with them to other feds.  Not sure how they can be defended without a booker, but who knows.  

Makes ya wonder what the point is, or if it's gonna be AEW's NXT... just a place for guys to work and learn shit. I dunno, wouldn't be opposed to be this being the end and no return, unless Big Dick Tony is using them for something.

Pretty sure it is dead now. It was the end of an era as now all of the people involved with RoH have been released. They did release the staff as well. Only people overseeing it for Sinclair Media are still employed, that is how high they culled. Sinclair may bring it back to have wrestling on their network, but if they do it will be 100% a Sinclair media project now likely run by completely different people focused on Southern wrestling.

They claim the next show is Supercard of Honor in April 2022 but nothing is announced, and right now, they have no staff or talent at the RoH level. Only Sinclair people overseeing shit.

My take, whether or they come back, NWA is will take their spot over. AEW and NWA have a great relationship, and they can get guys from there if they need. Impact as well. Tony lending out talent to whoever wants it, means they will likely be totally cool to lend their guys to him. And Tony treats the belts and people with respect so doubt it will end anytime soon.

I do know too there is talk both in the WWE lockerroom and in AEW about trying to break down the WWE forbidden door. This I doubt would happen, but WWE sending a low level guys who have no stories to AEW could be lightning in a bottle.
