Her maturity level matches that of the AEW locker-room, so she'll fit right in.

Reports are talks with Banks fell apart as she does not want to sign long term contracts, which is why Storm was named as Saraya's partner.

Reports are talks with Banks fell apart as she does not want to sign long term contracts, which is why Storm was named as Saraya's partner. Those reports are so dumb. Nobody knows anything and they clearly had other plans for weeks when they stopped promoting the fact that Saraya had yet to choose a partner. I could see Tony being upset that he can't post the #ALLELITE graphic when Mercedes shows up in AEW. If they reported THAT then I'd believe it. Last night's interviews made me think two things: 1) we're getting Britt vs. Mercedes at Revolution (Britt called herself "The Boss" last night) and 2) Toni Storm is going to get mysteriously attacked and be out next week. They'll blame Shida, she will deny and end up Saraya's partner, they won't be able to co-exist and Shida will eat the pin, then Mercedes will pop up as the attacker and put the entire women's roster on notice. Mercedes vs. Britt at Revolution.

FTR confirmed their contracts are up in April. Given they are not on TV, I really think we know how this is going to end up.

Omega had 9 months added to his contract. Believed Bucks will take a 9 month extension so Elite can negotiate together in a three way bidding war between WWE, AEW and NJPW. All three guys are handled by the same manager, who also manages Jericho.
Omega is looking to do a WWE run before his window closes, and Bucks it is believed want a WWE before they move to partial retirement and spending time with kids. Believed Cody will be smoothing the way on the WWE side. Also this group is what likely set Tony off last week. Elite would be a huge pickup for WWE. Would also be a great loss for AEW, as they really are getting anyone excited right now, but all cost big cash.
Kota Ibushi is not likely to sign with AEW as he is on record saying he wants to go to NXT as a coach, and would be willing to work dates if they signed him too. Tony cannot match NXT. Not sure why NXT did not immediately close this deal just to get a NJPW dojo vet locked down that also can double as one of the best highflyers in the business.
So all in all, start of 2024 will be the great shakeup for AEW.

Everything I read about the situation was that Omega had his injury time added, which would put his contract ending sometime in November, and the Bucks' contract goes until the end of this year. And that was all the information provided. WWE has been high on Omega since 2018 (that we know of) and he hasn't gone there yet and has shown zero interest in joining them. Also I've seen nothing anywhere about Kota Ibushi going to NXT, although that guy changes his mind every day so I won't believe anything until he pops up somewhere.

Shit pops up on twitter or reddit, from people finding it elsewhere.
From what I seen the Bucks and Omega are aiming to make a contract play together as the Elite, as they can push for more cash together from AEW and NJPW, which can leverage for a WWE offer on their terms putting them into the strongest possible bargaining situation.
Bucks repeatedly in the past said when this current contract runs out they will likely consider winding down to a safe style or part time. Ibushi stuff was from a Dark Puroresu Flowsion interview. Almost all of his interviews on his future involve him leading or working in a trainer thing / dojo. He said he would go to NXT if he could couch. If he goes to AEW he said he only wants to work once a month while he sets up a dojo.
None of it really should be shocking. Every wrestler will consider a WWE run that has not had one. HHH already wanted all three in the past, and there really is nothing that should change his mind. And Ibushi been clear he wants to move to training.
All rumors, but rumors likely with a lot of truth to them. Tony cannot give the Elite Wrestlemania. Or the highest pay. And all of the guys are getting older, so they cannot really keep putting off a possible WWE run, getting close to making the decision to close the door on it entirely. And Ibushi is just a weirdo. Tony freaked out that someone from WWE reached out to his talent last week though, and that was the time when Omega's contract would have been up if time was not added.

I find it incredibly interesting that the remaining founders would be even considering WWE or NJPW over AEW.
It could be a power play, to rinse more cash out of the money mark - which is a high likelihood. Or maybe, just maybe working for a ADHD riddled man-boy may not be all it's cracked up to be.
Certainly Cody thought leaving was the better option. And despite having one hand down TK's pants and the other down his own, Chris Jericho would jump in a heartbeat if the money was substantially better in WWE.

I can’t see what WWE would do with Omega. They’d have to let him wrestle 100 miles an hour, Kurt Angle style to get him over as a main eventer just through his in ring work. Then again maybe he would be accept being booked below main event there. That WrestleMania Cherry they can dangle will tempt anyone.

You put him in the ring with AJ Styles and Finn Balor to give him the Bullet Club rub and ensure he's treated like a star from day one.
I think he'd likely be surprisingly over. Styles walked into WWE a star. Cody left and no one cared, and came back a star. So obviously there's genuine interest in wrestling outside of WWE from WWE fans.

Kenny is not very good in short matches, and half his moves would not be coming with him as they are head drops or just not possible on big guys. That said there are instant stories for him now WWE will reference other companies. AJ vs Kenny would be a great debut feud for him that would get him over extremely fast. As would him and Nakamura or him and Balor. The thing with Kenny is, the good matches run out fairly fast. Cody and Seth would be good, but I just do not see Omega vs someone like Reigns being that good. Bucks are the better pickup. A series between them and the Usos would likely spit out of match of the year candidates. New Day and the Bucks would also result in some great matches. And WWE desperately needs tag teams.

Made a thread for it, but looks like Komander may have gotten signed or will be after people see him on national TV weds. His first match is a ladder match, and he will steal the show most likely.

WWE has enough tag teams, they're just not sharing the gold around. The one criticism you can have of The Bloodline angle is, there is little focus on the Tag Team Titles due to focusing on the greater Reigns v Sami, KO storyline.
Usos, New Day, Brutes, Imperium, Street Profits, Banger Bros, Judgement Day, Raiders, The OC, Alpha Academy, LDF, LL, HR... this could be the best division on the planet if they wanted it to.

Apparently Brian Cage could be gone by the end of the month. His contract expired but AEW tried to force an extension due to injury that would keep him through the end of June, but Cage pushed back and wants to pursue free agency. Only reason he would do that is if the WWE is interested, which it sounds like they are.
Cage has agreed to work until the end of March and it sounds like after that he will be gone. Supercard of Honor is this month so if the six-man titles are on the line, bet against The Embassy.

Does not shock me he is bailing. Curious if WWE wants him or not though.
Komander is rumored to be in negotiation with WWE and AEW now. Likely Tony missed his shot as WWE can just outbid him. And market him better as well.

The thing with Jeff Lee and Matt Parker is that you already have a team that does their shtick and has a connection with the audience in John Silver and Alex Reynolds - they're not needed and they're only in this position because of 'jobs for the boys'. I keep talking about the need to make some releases to open up television time on Dynamite, there you go. You keep wishing for this to happen but TK hasn't listened to you.

I still don't detect any lies, the JAS has been a drain on the company.

Drain on the company? I believe you're wrong but since you believe that, I understand why you feel that way. If you were the booker, who would replace the JAS with?

2.0 not going anywhere. Matt doing commentary regularly, and they are great hype men and stooges for talent on TV. Most fans react very well to them. If people dislike them that is a you problem. All accounts are the company is very high on them.

Drain on the company? I believe you're wrong but since you believe that, I understand why you feel that way. If you were the booker, who would replace the JAS with? They were brought into work against Eddie Kingston and the Blackpool Combat Club, both groups came out of that feud worse. They were also brought into promote ROH, again that ultimately didn't garner more interest. Even the effort to push Garcia from within has fallen flat.
The group should have disbanded after Blood & Guts. Eddie-Claudio would become the focus and everyone else moves on from the Inner Circle retread.
How I would book it is such a loaded question and it really just boils down to your favourite flavour of ice cream. Clearly TK loves to overload his cone with sprinkles, wavers, jelly beans and stuff but that's not my taste.

Crazy to think Jericho added everybody but Santana & Ortiz. They must have heat. I should point out that I don't hate 2.0. The post you quoted was around the time AEW was set to make a thousand signings and we were all speculating about how they were going to find television time. Letting go of a cult favourite jobber team was just one of those big calls the company had to consider. As it happened, Cody signed with the WWE and the company was wracked with injuries and backstage turmoil so it worked in their favour.
If anything, I'd like to see them receive a push. Pro Wrestling should be a meritocracy, 2.0 have gotten themselves over and deserve better than to be jobbed out all the time. Build them up for a TV special and have them face the top babyface tag team, take it from there.
As it stands, AEW has a 'catering room' problem and it's one of my biggest problems with the show.

They can't do this to me again System.
I remember getting tagged about a big surprise appearance and Big Bill was going to be on the show.
Instead it turned out to be Big Cass and I got mistaken for Baker.
Talk about Gillberg being mistaken for Goldberg!
I agree with the majority of that, except keep Goldberg face, have him run through everyone and retire by losing the belt to Sonberg.
If only we had currency half as cool as dimes and loonies, I'd give them all away!
