Nice, I second this recommendation. I often binge JG9 videos when I have some downtime at work. It's especially fun to learn about some of the more random/stupid/embarrassing moments in the sport's history.

That's Good Sports, Tom Grossi, Strong Opinion Sports, Five Points, FlemLo, KTO and UrinatingTree are longtime favorite channels in the genre for me but JG9's slowly becoming my new favorite football Youtuber.

Ya know, in the heat of the moment, I argued the Higgins facemask no call evened out any controversy with the calls at the end, but going back and rewatching the final drive I realized it's actually a lot simpler than that.

On the VERY NEXT play after the defensive holding, Kupp catches a TD, the down is replayed because Bell lowers his helmet and there's an offensive holding. But the fact is, Bengals got away with offensive holding all game, those were just as no called as the offensive holding, I don't believe they got called a single time, and they were doing it since the opening drive. If the defensive hold is BS because the way they were calling the game, then the offensive holding sure as shit is too.

Only point to be made is that they shouldn't have called any of those penalties at all, but not that the refs changed the outcome by giving the Rams extra chances, they got it in 4 if we're not calling penalties. Clean wash.

The Bengals whiners are tripping.

-The Bengals had 1:30 to at least kick a game tying field goal on the finals drive and did squat

-The Bengals got free TD from the Tee Higgins facemask and it was THE ONLY TD they scored in the 2nd half.

-The Bengals O-line gave up SEVEN sacks.

And yet the Bengals whiners insist the refs cost them the game. Get the fuck outta here with that dumb shit.

The irony of a Steelers fan , who's main schtick is bitching about the officials in every Steelers game coming out against the Bengals fans bitching about a loss in the Super Bowl.

Officiating was trash all year , sucks that it also had to happen in the Super Bowl on both sides. This whole notion of "this team got a bad call so the other team deserves one to even it out" is ridiculous. Two wrongs don't make a right. How about they just work harder to get them all right.

There's no irony because it's exactly consistent with what I always say, irony would be if I condemned the act of bitching about the refs in general, not shooting down a piss poor argument for their culpability for one specific occasion. Claiming they needed a free first to get the TD, when in reality they got the TD the next play if we're treating both plays the same as the rest of the game, where they just weren't calling shit, they did it in the 4 downs. And being relieved that the ref's mistakes even out isn't the same as supporting them, hate to see them actually decide a game, just wasn't the case for the SB.

Yeah my co-worker is one of them. Kept calling the game rigged and bitching about it to every customer who walked in, regardless if they had team gear on or not. Fuck yeah the refs were shit but we still had opportunities to win.

I love the team but not to the point where I can't be objective about them costing themselves the game just as much (if not more) than the refs did. It's embarrassing, honestly. Just be grateful for such an awesome year and a bright future with 60m cap space. Don't become Cowboys fans overnight after a small sliver of success
