Ok, I watch table tennis. Mainly on the WTT channel on YouTube. I got into it during the Olympics. I play pickleball so I relate in part to some of the game play. And I love the colors on their shirts. I started buying Li Ning shirts from China. I am a 3XL in China and the shirts are great and are like $24 shipped. The bend and spin they get on the ball is amazing. The story telling of the game is simple and compelling. They get entrances. They have nicknames like the Cloud Walker and The Dragon. Right now, Ma Long is the GOAT but Fan Zhendong is crushing. I love seeing choppers play. The style of play is so different.
Anyone else watch table tennis or am I the freak?

Professional table tennis is amazing. It's mind-boggling how they can react so fast. I don't like playing ping pong very much, although I prefer it over Foos ball

My dad has played table tennis for most of his life, but strangely he doesn't watch it although he watches many other sports.
I don't see table tennis as a spectator game. Impossible to follow what's going on. Yeah you can spend five minutes marvelling at their superhuman reflexes, but then what?
A few weeks ago me and some work colleagues went to a bar. They had table tennis to rent out. We preferred pool but all the pool tables were taken. Anyway, it was fun. Surprising how little effort is required to make the ball bounce on the other side. Most sports you're trying to hit things as hard as possible, but table tennis is a lot more about the delicate touch, at least when playing casually.

There’s some fun strategy to it I saw through the Olympics, especially in the Mixed Doubles, but I couldn’t really become a regular watcher.
During the pandemic with our office closed and everyone working OT I brought in one of those portable nets and played every day. I wasn’t good, but it’s fun.
