Bored this afternoon at work so thought I'd compare what we've got so far with DJ's top 50 - there are still 9 players on his list still available. Highest is #29. Been hitting on a few of these, got a top 50 on all of my picks. We will take it! Really like the Chiefs draft mikec, not sure about Mafe, his stock is up and down. Heard his name for the Jets in round 2 with one of those picks. Pickens is a steal there, might be a high 2nd round pick. McBride is also a sneaky good pick, wanted him as a Jet until we hit free agency hard at the tight end position. Very solid player, maybe not a superstar but no real glaring weaknesses outside of upside maybe.

I try to use a combo of PFF (both different pods) , DJ , NFL , Ringer and even the forbidden McShay and Kiper. No one list is right - I love DJ maybe the most but don’t always agree either.
Renner and Gayle have maybe my favorite draft pod out there right now.

Pickens is sneaky good, he just has the injury history which may take him off a few draft boards. Think he could not put up the high stats due to the QB play.

Pickens ball skills are elite. It’s really what turned him around for me - dude catches everything on top of of everything else with his athleticism and size. It’s why I’m more and more okay if the Packers take him.
Olave is my #1 choice and I’d even be okay with trading up 5-7 spots to get him. Pickens is like #2-#3 though and now I wish I would have taken him over Watson. Oh well.

Go out in style @admin! Give the Pats a typical 6th round reach in round 2.

With the 55th pick the New England Patriots select John Metchie, WR, Alabama. The Pats reunite old teammates Metchie and Mac Jones, who combined for 55/91/6 in 2020. He backed that up with 1142 yards in 2021, and it's only because of his ACL injury that he's not going to be a first round pick. Metchie is one of those guys who produces without being the fastest or the biggest - he's a YAC machine, can line up in all positions, and is a great route runner, and he would add some real juice to the New England receiver room - likely providing a upgrade on guys like Jakobi Meyers and Kendrick Bourne. Todd is up with the Cards

There is no way this player will be available for the Cardinals but in this scenario they take Jalen Pitre, Corner, Baylor Blindy

Pitre is a good get there, can be a slot CB or a FS, had a good practice for Jets in the Senior Bowl! Speaking of senior bowl, With the 57th pick, the Dallas Cowboys select G/C Dylan Parham out of Memphis Dallas interior O-Line is a mess and an arguable case could be made that they go with a interior O-Line prospect even in round 1. I think Parham is more of an early round 3 guy but with no trade downs, Dallas will have to get this player or else. A converted TE that became a RT that became a G in Memphis, Parham was even taking snaps at center with the Lions staff which may foreshadow things to come. Versatility will be big in Dallas, I went with Parham over 1-2 other guys due to the age(22) and because he is very athletic. He is getting late round 2 rumblings in some corners so maybe not BPA but the need is too big here and there is talent here with this player. New York's lone team OTC RT Bills!

This draft has worked out so nicely for Buffalo, a guy RT mentioned about pages ago is still there at his pick. Does the trigger get pulled though!?!?!

Metchie is interesting and probably a better fit for the Pats. I’m lukewarm on him for the Packers. I want some traits and Metchie ain’t that guy.
It’s the perfect spot for him there though.

Also like the Pitre pick , he could go there because he might not have a true position and a little like Molden last year. Perfect Cardinals picks though. Considering who's left on the board and all that , RT better just pick a back here.

What a steal. Damn shame so many teams don't have RB high up in their needs for Buffalo to just get a round 1 talent deep into round 2.
Josh Allen may vulture some TDs but Breece Hall to BUF would have some big fantasy implications.
I thought Arizona might have gone after Hall even with James Connor still around, thought they might have been the lone team to stop the inevitable Breece Hall to BUF marriage from happening.

Ridder might be my favorite QB in the draft , I like Corral too but I see him going earlier. Still a helluva pick for the Falcons if they get him there.
I’ll be on later or tomorrow and make my pick.

The Packers select: Lewis Cine , S , Georgia I know , I know the Packers don't take another receiver and truth be told - I think they should come out of Friday with at least two selections at Wide Receiver but this board just didn't fall that way. If it did though and Cine was still here I would be ecstatic - I thought about taking him with the earlier pick because the value was there but he kept falling. The Packers have a sneaky need at safety regardless with Amos coming up for an extension or restructure and not being sold on Savage or picking up his extension after a down year. Cine would be such a perfect guy to play our third safety this year (a role that has plagued the Packers) and step in for Amos next year - a player who he gets a lot of comps to. Smart and physical as hell with the athletic tools to back it all up. I would love to see Cine as a Packer. Blindy and the Yucks are up.

Not feeling Lewis Cine going just 1 pick before me! He's another steal, he has been chatted up as a potential guy who might make it to late Thursday evening/Day 1. Was about ready to go and get him as a replacement for Jordan Whitehead who is now a Jet. Him and Jalen Pitre going just a few picks before this stings. That takes safety out with the value not matching with the ___ safeties flying in round 2. What Tampa Bay does need is TE depth because lets face it, Rob Gronkowski has one foot in, and one foot out. He's already retired and recently stated he isn't really thinking about football at the moment, that's not a positive sign. Maybe he is playing it up to avoid TC and preseason to showup for his best buddy Tom Brady but Tampa Bay can't take a chance there and will opt for the TE of the future. Expecting both Rob Gronkowski and Cameron Brate to alone carry the load in a 17+ game plus season seems dangerous to me so the Bucs go for a real athletic specimen and someone who has been tearing it up late in this draft process. With the 60th pick, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select TE Greg Dulcich out of UCLA His run blocking needs a bit of refinement but his fluidity in air and ability to seperate is arguably the best of this class. TEs will be flying most likely in round 3 so the Bucs much like with what Green Bay did, get a jump early on everyone else. Tom Brady needs TEs and getting a young one here is huge. pduh you waited a long time to draft, my friend 49ers OTC! Devonta Smith is not in this draft sorry

I was looking at safety, corner(even though Niners sign Ward.) and oline(which eventually they need to revamp.) So I decided which routine to go with the 61 overall pick the 49ers select guard Kenyon Green from Texas A&M With Laken Tomlinson sign with the Jets which I think Banks is going to start at LG replacing him and Niners need to address the right side Niners choose Green who is versatile have played both tackles and guards. Time to revamp the Oline to protect Trey Lance. mikec you are OTC

The Bengals select: Isaiah Spiller , RB , Texas A&M
Cincy also has a need at tight end but I think they can wait another round after the two went off the board here. They also need a much better backup for Mixon as Perine just isn't good enough. Spiller has the ability to be an all around back in the pro's and be an excellent backup from day one - he also reminds me a bit of Mixon if the Bengals ever want to step away from that contract.
The Broncos select: Leo Chenel , LB , Wisconsin
The offensive linemen have been purged this draft which is bittersweet for the Broncos but at least they are able to fill another need with an absolute steal at the end of the second round. Chenel is an incredibly powerful downhill linebacker and probably won't be on the field all three downs but he has a place in the NFL as a potentially elite run defender and blitzer. The Bronco's could use a piece like him in their linebacker corps.

Thank you for running this yet again UTI knew you'd draft Chenel LOL. The Wisconsin LB of the draft, there's always one! Shocked Spiller over Kenneth Walker, Walker & Corral falling have to be the stunners of the draft. Corral could tumble all the way to the Giants or Commanders looking at the draft.

I like Spiller a little better and think he's more the complete back and even fits Cincy's scheme better. He reminds me a little of Mixon. Plus he has the power they might want to keep with losing Perine.
Chenal is a warrior. He's going to make a difference on whatever team drafts him. He may never be an all pro every down domino but he will have an impact.

There reports the Lions passing on Hutchinson? I’m not sure I follow? Sorry didn't include the video. JAX- Walker DET- Thibodeaux HOU- Stingley Saw Vegas odds shift a little here to back this. If Joe Douglas picks Ickey over Hutchinson, you will see #FireJoeDouglas all over my signature until he goes. I don't give a shit how good of an OT he is.
