I’m honestly not even that excited for this years drafts. Feels kind of boring. I’ll still follow it, but I have minimal excitement for it.

The uncertainty has me stoked. One of the most unpredictable years in a long time.

Yeah this is way better than normal, particularly last year where the top 10 was really predictable. There are so many 'pivot points' which could have big ramifications, and that's even without considering the possibility of teams shaking things up further by chasing quarterbacks.
Because of the explosion in trade activity we also have very lopsided team capital. The Jets, Giants and Texans rank inside the top 15 for most capital since 1999, while the Rams, Raiders and Dolphins are at the other end of the scale. This is a crucial opportunity for those cellar dweller teams to turn their fortunes around.

You’d think with both New York teams and KC having multiple picks … Kid would be excited.

I am cautiously optimistic about this draft, this is a big one for NYJ. Joe Douglas needs to hit a good one here. The lack of QBs in this class spicens this up so much too.
I have been waiting months for this, I am nervous we don't get this one right. Either way, I will root for whoever becomes a Jet regardless and hope for the best.

I could really care less about anyone else.

This draft even has huge fantasy implications with 10-12 receivers going in the first two rounds , a lot of which could go to a good offense/great quarterback. Packers Chiefs Chargers Bills Cowboys All in the market for a receiver possibly. Then upside teams like the Cardinals , Vikings , Browns and Saints. And then the running backs like Hall and Walker and teams like Buffalo and KC also in the market. Some huge fantasy implications. Whoever the Packers , Chiefs and Chargers draft (if they do) especially should be probably Top 100 picks.

To be honest, I haven't studied these rookies much coming into this draft.

The Jets had a heck of an offseason by their standards, getting a top 2 CB(DJ Reed), resigning some of their core players(Berrios), getting a part time edge rusher(J. Martin), getting a hard hitting safety(Whitehead) and upgrading the O-Line(Tomlinson). A lot of pieces have been added, but still some positions still stick out like sore thumbs here. One of them being, another starting cornerback. After DJ Reed, it is Bryce Hall who has been much better than his 5th round grade 2 drafts ago would lead you to believe. Brandin Echols is another Day 3 CB who has overplayed his draft value but overall, with the likes of Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs running rampant in the division, the Jets need an answer and they go arguably with one of the BPA here in Ahmad 'Sauce' Gardner. It sort of goes against Robert Saleh and how he values cornerbacks but I feel you really need to solidify the backend one step further by getting a safe, all football ascending cornerback who help spearhead the 2021 unexpected cinderella story of the Cincinnati Bearcats. Seeing him vs Notre Dame take away a field was pretty damn insane and seeing him limit Jameson Williams pre injury stride for stride despite the outcome of the game are pretty eyepopping. Add the combine that he had and yes the Jets would have jumped over one of the two can't miss pass rushers but both are gone here. With the 4th overall pick, the New York Jets select CB Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner out of Cincinnati He's cocky as hell, never allowed a TD in college and just told Richard Sherman about a week ago on his podcast he knows guys will be looking to try and get TD#1 on him for the pros. Ball is still in New York's court, this time with @admin and the NY Giants. Fucking beast.

All five of the Chiefs picks were taken earlier in this draft, so somebody on pw likes all our new guys.
But I think I overdrafted almost all my picks.

What's fucked? Besides the Stillers quarterback situation? Personally, I'd take the Big Pickle over A-Aron Rodgers. That’s a poor attempt at a troll post my brother. I’ll never say never but I’d be really shocked if Pitt takes Pickett at #20. I think they’re more likely to try and get up to get Willis. I like Pickett but he certainly has questions. Lol that was like one of 2 right first round picks
