Tony Khan announced yesterday that the woman facing The Bunny tonight will be "a huge new signing" to AEW, so place your bets and start complaining that a new signee is going to get a free pass to the tournament.
Khan also said more matches would be announced today.

Really excited to see where Blackpool Combat Club goes. Obviously Danielson vs Yuta is some kind of try out, but Mox is also in action against Jay Lethal. Wondering if something happens there too. Maybe Jonathan Gresham finally shows up and feuds with BCC?

Really excited to see where Blackpool Combat Club goes. Obviously Danielson vs Yuta is some kind of try out, but Mox is also in action against Jay Lethal. Wondering if something happens there too. Maybe Jonathan Gresham finally shows up and feuds with BCC? Yuta promised entry if he wins the Pure Title? Gresham I can see being confronted by Danielson at Supercard of Honor which will be cool as fuck.

Gresham was one of the people Bryan named in his people I want to work with outside of WWE list. Very likely they will fight sooner or later, in AEW or RoH.

And man, I hope they deliver with the Owen Hart Cup. Been a while since we had something like the Ted Petty Invitational or Super 8. Really only Battle of Los Angeles left these days now that CHIKARA is down. None of these really had the feel of being the BEST though, most just book whoever they have. Tony wants to make this seem legit like that great indy or territory tournaments, he will need outsiders.
That has to be Athena coming in. She has WAY too many friends in AEW to just sit on the sidelines.
