pduh with another steal grabbing Steamboat this late in the game. Had a feeling Phil would be the one to finally draft The Dragon. Thought about taking him when I picked Andre. Truth is my plan relies more on roles than wrestlers. The only roles I had open were for a Lawler opponent and a wrestler with vices. Can't run a babyface/babyface Lawlermain and Steamboat is in contention for wrestler with the least amount of vices. So I passed.

For the record, I agree with @ness' take on Ricky Steamboat. Great wrestler, but too bland to be a Dragon.

Dang really? I could have let him go probably then. He was one of the top three on my list and I figured you’d take him soon for sure.

My theory is Vince did think Steamboat was on the bland side so he gave him the Dragon nickname, Bruce Lee gimmick, and later had him breathe fire to spice him up a bit.

I have to say that this has been the easiest draft for me. I designed a concept. Made a list of matches and ranked the wrestlers according to the matches I have them in. I think at this point only 3 of my matches have been completely drafted (I.e. many people’s partners and opponents still haven’t been chosen.) I think I will play this strategy out for all future drafts. R

I've won 2 drafts before and didn't want to draft the same old guys, I decided to go for an idea I always had but never ran with because it's not something that is going to win. It is something I'm going to enjoy writing though, I'm looking forward to it. I'm already working on my 150x150's and looking at Fontspace for graphics now.

Yeah, Ax was Super and Blackjack Mulligan was Big. Truth is the Masked Superstar and The Machines are largely blind spots for me.

Crusher Darsow's slow burn transformation from good natured American country boy into evil Russian sympathizer Krusher Krushchev in Mid South was good stuff. It had weeks of build and made sense in context. It wasn't just like he woke up one day and was all "Oh, I'm Russian now" or they tried pretending the guy you had seen on tv for months was suddenly a brand new wrestler who happened to hail from the Soviet Union.

Repo Man was fun for a while. Blacktop Bully was the worst though. That character had huge go away heat with me.

With all of this fuckin talk of people STILL ON THE BOARD!

I’m glad my Golden Trinity (Bret Hitman Hart, Freshly Squeezed Orange Cassidy and Chyna) vs The Machines (Big, Titan, and Hulk) got spoiled by some folks.

Now, maybe we can honor the time honored honorable tradition here of uh, not talkin about people who ain’t already been picked huh?

So I had been debating a shift on one of my tag team matches, and it would appear @theshow has forced my hand.
