The biggest thing about the disallowed goal was that they overturned it. The call on the ice was a goal, and therefore you need definitive evidence there was interference in order to overturn it. There was no definitive evidence, and from certain angles looks like he was pushed, so the call should have stood.

Most teams returned fire tonight, Tampa, Minnesota and Edmonton all evening their series. Boston the only ones to go down 0-2 and unsurprisingly acted like a bunch of bitches about it taking cheap shots and starting fights because they can't compete with Carolina.

I read somewhere last night that the refs called 6 straight power plays for Tampa last night. I know the Leafs took some dumbass penalties, but 6? Really?

Panarin needs to stop being too cute with the puck especially in the neutral zone. A bad giveaway to Crosby led to their first goal. If there is a weakness in Panarin this would be it. Of course MSG commentators can't say anything negative about Panarin (or Kreider) on air so Crosby just got the puck randomly.

Domingue had a good game despite the 5 goals. It could have been much worse. The Penguins defense breaks down too often only so much a goalie can stop.

The Leafs are scaring the fuck out of me. I know losing to the b2b champs is nothing to be ashamed of, but when you get knocked out of round 1 5 years in a row it changes things a little no matter who you’re facing. You gotta beat the best to be the best.

Keefe is scratching Liljegren tonight and bringing in Justin Holl. Lil/Gio have not been great but Liljegren had two amazing scoring chances and one just didn’t cross the line and the other was the save of the playoffs so far. He’s due to score.

Holl has struggled all year and is only useful on the PK, which could go either way. You better be taking less penalties than game 2 but Keefe seems to be planning that the Leafs will continue to be in penalty trouble.

At least Spezza is in tonight. But holy fuck if they lose this game after those line changes we’re so fucked.

A day late watching the Rangers game, but my overriding thought is that they are just so much of a better team than Pittsburgh. It's really only their small mistakes and lapses that are allowing the Penguins to hang around. Panarin might not have played a particularly good game - but even on his off nights like that he still puts up points.

TNT saying Shesterkin was the one to blame for getting cleaned up by Carter is one of the more ridiculous things I've ever heard. You have to be a special kind of terrible to make Leafs fans and Habs fans side with Brad Marchand. But he did it.

Leafs got butt fucked last night but still managed to turn it on at the end and score a few. Hopefully they burn the tape and win at home. Being down 3-2 going back to Tampa is just not where you wanna be, obviously.

Interesting fact: Nashville was swept for the first time in team history. There are now only 3 other teams that have never been swept: Seattle, Vegas and…New Jersey.

That's giving Pittsburgh too much credit if you ask me. It's really just the Crosby line that is rinsing us, the Rangers are just laying a complete egg. It was 20 high danger shots to 1! That's one team simply not showing up to play.
