Oh and Evander Kane is a massive piece of shit and it sickens me that people were happy this guy was having success again. He shouldn't even be in the league and now Kadri might be done for the playoffs. Is it just for gambling? or do people dislike Kane for more reasons?

He refuses to pay his child support and was (allegedly) abusive to his ex. She's called him out on social media a few times saying as much. Dude made millions of dollars, gambled it all away, and now can't even support his own kid.

Huge missed opportunity for the Rangers today. It was the New York Maple Leafs out there tonight I swear to god. -better team overall -chance to take a stranglehold on the series -get a lead but unable to hold it -heartbreaking late goal to lose the game I was literally the Michael J Fox “I’ve seen this one before” meme today watching that game. I know exactly how Rangers fans feel tonight.

Better team overall is probably a bit of a stretch, they played very poorly in the third period. Tampa ended up with the greater xG 4.62 to 3.48 with nearly half of that coming in the final period while the Rangers completely flatlined. Strome going down was a big turning point.
Obviously it would have been magnificent to go up 3-0 but even the most optimistic fan wouldn't have been expecting a sweep. So far they've bounced back from their poor moments really well, hopefully the same happens again in G4.

Rangers 5v5 was awful. Can't expect to win every game certainly against Tampa, and they seemed to be a step behind the entire game, but if there was a game to steal this one was it. They still had a two goal lead thanks to their power play, but Tampa's constant pressure was too much. The Rangers overall effort was lacking. Lost all the one on one battles, just was not skating hard enough, and relying on a 50 plus save regulation effort by your goaltender is not fair on Igor.

What a game. I want this series to 7. I'm a fan of both teams. The best case for my fandom is if San Jose made the WCF.

If ever there was a game for Connor to prove he’s the best; it’s this one.
No Kane. At home. Elimination game to stop a sweep. Go get a hat trick.

Colorado scores 20 seconds into the 3rd. 3-2. Can the Oilers hold them off?

Fucking Tampa sounding the horn on a shot that went way wide of the net. I almost think that should be a penalty against them for being a dumbass.

Telling you right now. The Rangers are winning the Stanley Cup. Weird time to post that when they are getting absolutely destroyed at the moment. Only good part about this so far is that it's only 0-1.

Panarin has been absolutely awful tonight, he's literally turning the puck over every time he gets it trying the exact same centring pass at the blue line. Only explanation I can think of is that he thinks we're still at home playing in blue.

A lot of people had this going to 7 games. The Rangers were dominant at home and fell asleep on the road. Nothing to worry about. The series is tied at 2.

Igor is 2-6 on the road this playoffs and 8-2 at home. 9.36 at home and .904 on the road. Big differences there. I think if the Rangers win Game 5 they'll take it in 6. But it'll be a hard win. Tampa plays insane when they're up against elimination. I don't know how they do it.

Rangers are so good at playing a 60 minute shitty hockey game. I can't stand watching them just chase the puck all night. I'm giving them too much credit, stand not chase and puck watch all night. Everyone was lackadaisical led by Panarin. Do they know that they are in the final four? Where is their intensity, determination, and grit? Can they fucking battle for a 50/50 puck? So many unnecessary odd man rushes they allowed. Same shift BOTH defenseman pinched in and Zibanejad had to skate back to stop ya know just Stamkos may have heard of him on a breakaway the Rangers caused. So many breakdowns in their defensive coverage led to goals. Just horrible. Zero offense until the last 3 minutes. Whoa, the Rangers created offensive chances by skating hard and not making it easy for Tampa to play the puck that is just weird don't do that. Great job guys.
Zach fucking Bogosian deked out Braun on the first goal. I can't believe I typed that. Had a bad feeling after that first goal. Also, keeping Panarin out for the last two minutes or so is another warning sign. First, he played like shit. Second, extremely long shifts are useless. He had no gas left. There are plenty of other well rested skaters on the bench. I don't like heavily relying on one player.
Well, see you for another shitty ESPN broadcast for game 5.

Going into the series I would have taken a 2-2 tie to make a best of 3, Rangers have home ice. But, Rangers couldn't take advantage of Tampa's rust. They got their game back.

I went through all these same emotions except rather than exchanging wins back and forth, this series is both teams winning at home. Leafs crush Tampa 5-0 in Game 1 then play like they don't even want to be there in Game 2. Win big in Game 3 at Tampa then get their asses kicked in Game 4. Rinse repeat. Fucking infuriating to watch. You know those games where you watch the 1st period and go "well they're not winning why the fuck am I even watching this?" that was the Rangers tonight and I've seen the Leafs do the same thing a million times. Yet I keep coming back. What is wrong with me?

It seems like (in the Eastern playoffs anyway) that there's really nothing worth considering in terms of form and momentum, many of the teams have been so inconsistent. You'd think having to play every second night is a contributing factor, it must be difficult to maintain a high level of intensity when you are getting beat up physically. That's what I'm the most worried about going forward, the Rangers are going to be in some pretty significant trouble with the new injury issues to Strome, Chytil and Goodrow, on top of the playing hurt Lindgren and Panarin.
Tonight was a tough one, too much dump and not enough chase - but they've rebounded strongly from being outplayed worse in the previous two rounds so they've definitely got it in them.

Switching over to the West really quick.
I know Mike Davis is getting a lot of shit for being swept. I think a lot of the blame has to go on Kane. Yes he scored a shit load of goals this postseason but in that last series he was his teams worst enemy. Game 2, he gets a penalty for being a douche and then shit talks Colorado giving them all the anger and rage they needed to come into the next period and demolish them.
Game 3, he injures Kadri and pisses off Colorado and we saw how that went.
Game 4, hes suspended and they lose him in a high scoring affair.
I still stand by the Rangers winning it all, by the way.

I expect tonight to be a low scoring game. Got Rangers winning 3-1 with the 3rd goal being an empty netter.
To celebrate 6/9; I put some money on Hedman scoring a goal because head.... man. 69~!
