Miko Hughes (Pet Sematary)
Going to continue to go a bit off the rails but I want a horror one and Miko Hughes in Pet Sematary is probably the best performance you could see out of an actor this young. He's cute in the beginning but his ability to convincingly play a menacing and evil toddler after the shift is crazy - his line delivery is on point as well. I don't know how exactly they pulled off being able to get that out of him but props to everyone involved. Danielle Harris in Halloween IV was my other option (I'm sure it wasn't on anyones radar) but Miko is a bit more iconic.

I honestly can't believe I didn't think of this one until now, especially considering I am reading the book. Danny Lloyd - The Shining - 1980Greatest "I'm scared" face in all of horror. RT

LT Nabbed the obvious #1, grabbed Kirsten Dunst who was on my list, I wasn't sure Chloe Grace Moretz made the age cut-off or else I would have taken her but whatever. Rest of his picks are solid choices, or at least Charlie is. I've never seen Annie so can't really say. UT Another one I was unsure about age on with Natalie Portman, Dafne Keen and Dakota Fanning are great picks. I've never seen the other movies. Emperor Grabbed Haley Joel Osment before I could, Abigail Breslin was on my list, as were Mara Wilson and Heather Michele O'Rourke. Danny Lloyd never crossed my mind but he should have. Good pick there too. I think from top to bottom Emperor has my favourite list so I'm voting for him.

Pretty noticeable omission from your lists.
Tatum O'Neal in Paper Moon. She became the youngest ever winner of an Oscar at just age 9 (Best Supporting Actress).

Really tough vote, everyone has at least a couple of my favorites and some others I'm not familiar with to fairly grade. UT, gets the extra half point due to picking Justin Henry who was hilarious in Sixteen Candles.

Emperor and RT didn’t miss once for me. I really had to think that through. But in the end I went with Emperor because he had my favorite of the group and got five of the top eight between their ten picks.
Good stuff all around though.

A couple more from my shortlist:
Jacob Tremblay - Room - 2015 Natalie Wood - Miracle on 34th Street - 1947
Don't remember enough about Room to commit to that pick. While Miracle is one of my favourite films, as I recall little Susan's role isn't especially prominent. She's great, but not in the film enough to compare to my other picks. Interestingly Mara Wilson aka Matilda plays Susan in the remake.

I'm voting UT. thereallt and RT both have two great picks, and three picks I don't really know. UT has my #1 pick in Natalie Portman. Don't know the Pet Sematary pick but his other three picks are all excellent roles that didn't even come to my mind. Especially Logan - completely forgot about her.

Not going to do a full breakdown on this one. Have a feeling I'd do a lot of repeating myself. The Real LT had a great list of iconic roles from his first pick on and especially cementing it with the last pick but Culkin and Ostrum are by far my favorite picks. I don't care about Interview at all and while the Dunst pick deserves credit and she was really good from what I remember - it just doesn't stick we me like it should.
It comes down to Emp and RT.
RT drafted Thomas early which I loved and hated. I think it's such a great and overlooked performance. ET is magical and his acting and the what Spielberg pulled out of that whole cast of kids is remarkable. Not a huge Addams Family fan but Ricci is the best part of those movies by far and encapsulates Wednesday. She's awesome. Don't care one way or the other about the Lohan pick. Watson is iconic in the Potter world and the best part about all those movies and the best actor of the bunch. Good pick. And to wrap it up with Chlumsky in a role that also gets too forgotten. She is awesome in that movie and her pivotal scene is so well acted and there's a reason why it's memorable and still brings people to tears. Great way to wrap it up.
Emp got HJO which was second in terms if iconic or memorable roles behind Kevin. Breslin was high on my list - that is a masterclass performance from an 8 year old and Mara Wilson is a nice pick out of the norm and not one I expected from Emp. She is super charming in that movie and that makes it work but she was also aided a ton by Devito , Perlman and Trunchbull all pitching 120 - gave her a ton to work with and an easy road. Heather O'Rourke is a perfect capper for me as a horror and Poltergeist fan. The They're Here line delivery is second to few and absolutely chilling. Credit to the Danny pick as well even if I don't care for the movie.
It's so dang close. Slight edge to Emperor for just being solid across the board where as RT lost be a bit with the Lohan pick , though I do love his personal touch to his draft.

A few that broke my heart because they were just over the age thing:
River Phoenix (Stand By Me) Tom Holland (The Impossible) Sean Astin (Goonies) Sophia Lillis (IT 2017)
