Card looks pretty good so far. I might buy it just for Alexander vs Jacob Fatu

I don't care for watching Ric Flair wrestle at his age, however, that looks like a pretty damn good card, with quite a few matches that I would be interested in watching. Alexander/Fatu should be awesome AF, Machine Guns/The Wolves, women's triple threat and the AAA match should all be good as well.

Well, we found out what Ric's final match will be.
It's a tag match, with Flair teaming with Mr. Charlotte Flair (aka, Andrade El Idolo), against Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal.

Maybe this tag match will be the catalyst for a EE babyface turn.

The first part was horrifying in a good way, Flair looked like a corpse.

I thought I was at Ric Flair's last match in 2008. Rest of the card interests me wayyyy more than that would.

This is going to be a disaster of a main event with Andrade doing like 95% of the work only for Ric to do his usual 3-4 moves and submit Jeff Jarrett with the figure four.
Jonathan Gresham's indefinite hiatus lasted all but one week, he's wrestling right now.

It is good to see Arn Anderson and Ric Flair are on good enough terms that he is featured on this PPV. Now just need to see Tully & Tessa Blanchard tonight to fully know we're cooking tonight.

Michelle McCool telling Undertaker to pipe down might be the moment of the night.
Taker hanging with Mick Foley is what we wanna see after the IWC blew up that snub for Taker's HOF speech. What a giant nothingburger.

Watching Ric in this match is like watching slo-mo wrestling. It's been about as non-contact as you'd expect.

of course Flair is blading in his final match. He did a less obvious bladejob than Chris Jericho much to Flair's credit(Or Chris's discredit).
This was an entertaining match but man HBK/Flair is still the best way to remember Flair's final match. This was quite something.

Kid Rock has had a hell of a wrestling weekend between getting some tongue of Trailer Park Tammy and now getting a night out of town with a victorious Ric Flair. Was put over like 3x in Flair's final promo. Beware of the tab though.

The real reason Slam was on Saturday. (Karen Jarrett slapping her bare ass in front of Conrad didn't go unnoticed) McCool looked absolutely scared, she probably regretted the decision in bringing her/Taker's daughter to this.

Blindy how was Alexander vs Fatu? Very good match, Fatu wrestles so much like Umaga. Alexander was solid too and if you can just get rid of the fact that it's a big samoa taking on an x-division wrestler.... it was good. I hated the ending of Cardona/Myers jumping and causing a DQ but I get both guys had to be protected for their companies. No way Alexander would lose the title to an MLW guy and no way Fatu should lose to someone smaller than him.

They like hired every almost every other one. Guy can wrestle, which makes it even weirder. I just do not get it. He will not be the next great champion, but he is a perfectly acceptable threat to make people go through.

With the exception of MLW, he has flaked or fallen off the radar on feds trying to book/push him. Just deciding he wasn’t going to show on feds more than once.

Also has a criminal record which WWE is very serious about hence why they've backed off Moose as well in the past.

Ric Flair is the GOAT and my all time favorite wrestler. I watched his first last match. No way I would miss his latest last match. And that was even before a wild slapnuts appeared! Once that happened I seriously considered going all the way to Nashville to see it live. Unfortunately it coincided with an already planned weekend trip to my girlfriend's family's shore house and I just didn't feel like making a big thing about it. So I passed on a trip to see two of my great wrestling heroes live in Music City and watched it a day late.
As somebody who understands pro wrestling was built on gaga, you know I enjoyed all the hoopla. The 20 minute intros...more legend cameos than your average Wrestlemania...Jarrett (and Lethal's) heeling and stalling....Penzer's longwinded introductions...the involvement of Flair's family including Conrad, etc. Enjoyed Schiavone & Crockett on commentary. Also enjoyed Flair's postmatch promo. Cool to see Lethal in such a high profile position as well. I saw some of his earliest matches live and have been a(n admittedly on and off) fan of his going all the way back to 2004.
Match was pretty bad though. Flair wrestled in a sleeveless shirt and looked awful...every bit the 73 year old man who spent the last half century living life in the fast lane. The bulk of his contribution was punches and chops and he can't even chop well anymore. He took one bump off a Lethal suplex and was never the same after that. The other three did what they could to carry him, literally at times. Flair wore the crimson mask and couldn't even get to his feet for the finishing stretch. It was sad. I began fearing for his life when Andrade tried handing him the brass knucks. My man was literally shaking. But he did indeed hit Jarrett with the knux and lock on the figure four to pin JJ for the win.
Speaking of the 55 year old Jarrett, he was in great shape and could have passed for 10-15 years younger. Got a kick out of reading a lot of "Y'know Jarrett is actually a great heel" comments. I'm over here thinking "No duh. This has been known since 1994."
Flair & Jarrett having a hyped main event match in 2022 is obviously awesome. But it doesn't end there. Seeing Taker, Foley, and Bret in the crowd and hearing of an earlier Lawler promo made me realize so many of the people responsible for me being here today still posting on a wrestling forum in 2022 were at this show. Though to be greedy it would have been nice for Arn, Cornette, Funk, and (obviously) Vince to be there as well.
Verdict- A mixed bag. But you and I both know I'll be back for Flair's next retirement match. Finish gave Double J an out. You know what that means. Book it, Gabe Conrad.
Seriously though. Flair should never wrestle again. Yet I'm sure he will because money. And of course I'll be there when he does.
