I think one giant preseason thread should be, even if it's an appetizer for next month's weekly flurry of NFL discussion. May make a little bit of a big Jets training camp post in the future but we got a game tonight.

NFL Hall of Fame game: Las Vegas Raiders vs Jacksonville Jaguars. Most of the big names don't play this but hey it's football and hey it's back. Maybe we get some Travis Etteiene in his pro debut?

The Jags already said Lawrence and ETN aren’t playing. I might watch, but I really have no desire to watch scrubs play for a job.

Josh Jacobs getting a surprising amount of touches but he looks lively. Might be motivated for a big season after having his fifth year option declined.

Maybe it's because my team had 3 1st round picks and 4 top 35 picks but man I have a really good feeling about this draft class. Outside of maybe the QBs, these rookies are going to find a way to produce from the get go. Good stuff to see the top pick show off, even if it's one or two drives. 

Feel like every team is going to benefit, excluding teams like the Rams or Dolphins or Raiders who gave away their picks in deals.

Walker's thing was lack of experience as a pass rusher due to how he was used in UGA, the reps are going to be important just from a familiarity standpoint. Just a matter of how quick can be figure it out, combine numbers are combine numbers but being in the right spots is a whole other thing.

Damn shame the Jags pussed out(no pun intended) and sat TE U staple CJ Beathard, didn't want him to start a QB controversy next to Lawrence I guess. 

Looking forward to the Packers game tomorrow night. Love has reportedly had a great camp , even coming from his detractors so it’ll be interesting to see his development.

Further I really want to see Doub. Not to toot my own horn but he’s been having a great camp and is a highlight every day and making his way to a starting receiver for this team. I called from the beginning him playing meaningful snaps and being better than Watson early on.

Not much else besides some linemen stuff, don’t expect the defense to show a lot of looks but it’ll be interesting to see who is most disruptive.

Very small sample size but man Malik Willis has some real magic to him. Heck of a scramble that he made look easy on that goal line TD run and showed off a nice arm angle throw. Ryan Tannehill going to have to be on point from the get go.

It was nice to see the Giants running a modern NFL offence today. They're not going to be good but at least they won't be infuriatingly unwatchable. O-line looks like it might at least be competent finally, running game looked pretty effective whoever was carrying the ball. Big negative was Kenny Golladay still looks like he doesn't give a shit.

Ravens kept their undefeated preseason record going - 21 straight now! :lol:

Looking forward to 49ers football the starters including Trey Lance will play today first preseason games I don’t expect them to play a whole lot. Beside Trey Lance interesting how the oline look something to keep an eye on for this season with three new starters Banks at LG, Spencer(who is killing it at camp according to reports.) at RG, and Brendel at center on the offensive side.

Jets looked terrible first drive both sides, Quincy Williams stupidly nails Jalen Hurts with a late hit out of bounds to extend their drive instead of a long FG and then Zach Wilson just stares straight at Corey Davis before Z. White picks him off. Just terrible.

Of course now Zach Wilson pulls up limp. What a start man. Should have ran out of bounds instead of try that cut, it's the preseason. I appreciate the effort but cmon. Rest him up for the next game and hope he's okay. 

If Zach Wilson's injury is severe, than I am not going to watch the Jets this year. There's no real reason to. Maybe not even football at all.

Just bummed. I'd rather see him get picked or overwhelmed than go down on a non-contact injury.

Ok I guess the Niners are not playing majority their starters after all Mitchell is out for all preseason due to hamstring injury but should be ready for season opener

Not believed to be ACL related, Wilson and the Jets get lucky with this maybe being a reaggravation of the PCL injury he had last year. Maybe loses a month or so. Would be disaster averted if so, not ruining my chance of watching the Jets this year or football.

Either way, Joe Flacco vs Lamar Jackson is Week 1. Most likely.

Weird stat Matt Ryan will most likely have more passing yards then Dan Marino after this season

No judgment here. Jets fans haven't really had anything to root for since the Ryan/Sanchize era.

I took a break from watching the Reds this year after ownership blew up promising team #5000+. Stopped watching the Bengals after Pacman/Burfict fucked us in the playoffs up until we drafted Burrows. And damn close to taking a break on the Pack after yet another heartbreaking playoff loss, then losing Davante and doing fuck all else in FA once again.

Course I'm a bit of a casual, too. I've so far only watched the Deshaun Watson highlights just to see him overthrow some passes and get jeered at by Duval County's finest.
