No judgment here. Jets fans haven't really had anything to root for since the Ryan/Sanchize era.

I took a break from watching the Reds this year after ownership blew up promising team #5000+. Stopped watching the Bengals after Pacman/Burfict fucked us in the playoffs up until we drafted Burrows. And damn close to taking a break on the Pack after yet another heartbreaking playoff loss, then losing Davante and doing fuck all else in FA once again.

Course I'm a bit of a casual, too. I've so far only watched the Deshaun Watson highlights just to see him overthrow some passes and get jeered at by Duval County's finest.

Been on this grind for so long, I just know the payoff if the Jets ever make the super bowl will be so worth it. I just want to see one in my lifetime. Don't even have to win it. Jets haven't had a home playoff game since 2002.

Bengals fan, can relate. The 90's were the reason I started out more as a Packers fan. I didn't even get prime Pickens, just Corey Dillon and some scrubs. Then two different blue ball eras with some Browns cosplay in between.

That's how I felt last season. Of course I want to see a Lombardi win but at least I got to see them not only clinch their first playoff game in living memory, but an AFC 'ship to boot.

If a Mike Brown Bengals team can do it, the Jets likely can. Just may take a little bit longer.

Poor Chad Pennington btw. Underrated QB. Injuries, a lack of support and Brady/Belichick in the same division kinda screwed him.

Season saved.

You'd like to think this latest nonsense would lead to people finally ignoring Dr Chao for good, but being involved in Junior Seau's death apparently wasn't enough to cancel him so I'm not holding out too much hope.

Ain't gonna lie, he got me. Said it was a certainty and everything but he owned up to the mistake immediately. Jets nation on twitter let him absolutely have it though. 

🙏 for Evan Neal. Thankfully Kayvon avoided an ACL tear but it's still a setback. Hopefully they don't even think about rushing him back like the previous regime would have.

Jets 2nd strings got eaten up today by the Falcons 1st team, pretty frustrating. The CFL legend Chris Strelever about to lead the Jets to an impressive 2-0 record

These things go both ways - Belichick was complaining about Martindale blitzing too much last week. People should get over these unwritten preseason rules, if you're playing you're playing.

This is hilarious even if it is totally uncalled for. Seattle has had a winning record for a decade and won a Super Bowl recently. They lost their franchise QB and don’t have a viable option yet. Hopefully they draft well and can swing a free agent or something down the road.

Giving this ridiculous fishing for attention hyperbole any attention is more than it deserves, but still:

a) it hasn't even really been a QB competition, you could tell from the way Pete Carroll talked the entire time that Geno was going to be the starter and Lock was never close.
b) it's not even remotely close to the worst QB competition of all time. there are plenty of far worse examples, but for one Denver had Paxton Lynch vs Trevor Siemian two seasons in a row!

Drew Lock needs to hire IK Enemkpali if he wants to secure the year long gig. 

Tyron Smith tore his hamstring today, might be done for the season, huge blow for Dallas obviously. Third straight season with a significant injury has derailed what at one stage looked like a certain HOF career.

Aaron Donald was trying to do his best Myles Garrett impersonation, by taking a couple of swings with a Bengal helmet at one of the Cincinnati players today, during their joint practice. There was a bit of a brawl as a result.

Sucks Denzel Mims has opted to go for a trade, guess he saw the writing on the wall. He never found the light under Mike LaFleur, he did himself no favors with so many mental errors. He has come in great shape this training camp, would like to see Chicago trade for him. Maybe Matt Rhule bangs hard to get his former Baylor guy over but Chicago gives him so much of an opportunity.

I would say Mims for Teven Jenkins straightup but I think Jenkins is being used as a guard right about now.

A 17 year old girl, someone's fucking daughter & child. Ugh. I hope someone just breaks his leg if he's still punting for the Bills for the final preseason game. Really enjoying the Amazon TNF broadcast so far. The pregame panel is great (fantastic to have a few fresh faces like Sherman and Fitzpatrick) and it's great to have Herby calling the NFL full time.

Easy to see why Dameon Pierce has been one of the most hyped players during the preseason, he already looks like a real deal RB1 for Houston.

49ers pulled Lance a bit earlier than I think they would have liked considering how badly their backup o-line was getting beat. He was flushed out of the pocket virtually every time he dropped back but showed a slightly concerning lack of accuracy on the move. O-line wasn't helping the run game either, but Trey Sermon doesn't look like he'll be any more of a factor in year 2, appears very hesitant and slow and he missed a pass pro assignment.

Texans d-line looked impressive, even if it was their ones against SF's twos. I feel even more confident in my belief that their defence will be at least middle of the pack this season with their new veteran additions. Jerry Hughes was active, Steven Nelson had a nice third down PBU in coverage against Deebo, and Desmond King got a pick.

Watch for TDP and maybe Jordan Mason(if he makes the team.) who be ahead of depth charts than Sermon both RB have shown some contribution in preseasons games than Sermon.

Because this happened prior to him being drafted it doesn't count under the personal conduct policy under the new CBA - but given that we're talking about a punter and not a QB (although it really shouldn't make a difference) I'd be surprised if this doesn't end up with him being cut. Hard not to be cynical given the way the league handles this matters though.

I was horrified reading the details of this rape. I am like @admin, cynical that the league will do much, but if they do, he deserves everything he gets and probably everything he doesn't.  I just don't understand the mindset of these guys. Why would you risk your future-everything you've worked your whole life for-for non consensual sex and victimizing someone when you can probably get rough, consensual sex.  Is it cause it's too easy?  I don't get it.

I am excited about Pierce and he does look very talented, the only thing I would say is the prospect of the Texans being mediocre again means he may not see a ton of snaps. From what I understand he didn’t have a heavy workload in college so it would make no sense to overload him if the Texans aren’t good.
