McCarthy is probably done by the time he's back. That is terrible but this is why Dallas should have opted harder for a worthwhile backup QB just in this event.

Saw a cool bet thing on a podcast I watch called a piñata pick. You place your bet and it spits out a random team. Doesn’t matter what team you get, you get 25 to 1 odds on them winning the super bowl.

Unfortunately you had to do it before the season started so I missed it but it would have been fun to throw down 5 bucks and hope you get like Buffalo or KC or someone with a shot. My luck I would have got Dallas or something though.

Yeah, Jerry Jones is stubborn.  I don't think he fires McCarthy after the season, unless he 100% can land Sean Payton.

He'll look for a fall guy despite he and his son constructing a poor roster and mishandling the cap to let go of talents. 

They also have Dan Quinn available with tons of coaching experience behind him. 

Oh the roster isn’t that bad at all. They have had pretty good drafts , especially on the defensive side of the ball and have probably the best defensive player in the league for the next decade. Also have a ton of good players at many different spots of the roster.

Coaching and health is the issue.

The Cowboys have drafted an assload of talent.  The Jones' just keep hiring shitty coaches.  McCarthy underachieved big time with the talent he had in Green Bay. And the Cowboys have hands down the most undisciplined team under his watch.

I will concede they mishandled the cap and the Cooper stuff though the rest is wrong.

Jerry's ego is so large that all he'll hire as yes man for as long as he's there. As such, Dallas will remain subpar.

I think he’s out after the season either way, just he will wait until after the season.

Also as a good reference point for why Pat was so good yesterday, for the first time Mahomes was blitzed on more than half his passes. Blitzing Mahomes has been death for defenses his entire career, so the Cardinals were like “eh let’s just do it more”.

Week 2 will be the complete opposite, with hopefully a similar result.
