Wouldn't count on it leaking. Roster will not have access, and the stadium not likely to leak it themselves as Tony could sue over it.

Tony before Collision or on Collision will address the Punk situation for All Out. Likely will just announce he is suspended finally. Showcasing Colt so heavily def feels like they know Punk will not be at the events this week.

Man this sucks. I don’t BLAME AEW but I loved watching Punk.

Wonder what the fallout will be for Jungle Boy.

Fact that there was video means it's black and white and seemingly, enough proof was out there to get rid of Punk. He was the top merch seller but there's only so much favoritism you can have.

Maybe Jungle Boy got the nod to go out and say all of that to try and provoke Punk given there were cameras scattered all around the arena but Punk is old enough to know better.

1st mistake and if Punk was the one who attacked him, nothing. He should be suspended for saying that line on air if he didn't get clearance but that's about it. 

Guevara has done much worse and is still viewed highly, he's an AEW pillar. He'll be ight. 

I do think the timing is bad for the rest of the talent though, will have a very angry crowd chanting "CM PUNK" tonight & tomorrow night in Chicago and a bunch of talent get well....punk'd. Should have waited till after the Chicago shows.

It's one thing to deprive the paying customer of seeing the hometown guy, it's another to announce his departure after he was the major selling point the day/weekend of the show.

This is all on Punk. No body to blame but himself. We all know we will blame everyone else for this. I wonder what the fallout will be.

Does anyone else weirdly respect that Tony fired Punk before a Chicago PPV? Like he’s not holding onto this guy one second longer than he has to even if it pisses people off. First 80k in Wembley and now he puts his foot down to his biggest draw. Is he finally maturing as a leader?

Network may have insisted on it.  Frankly his balls do need to descend, but this may have from even above him.


Also brand split over.  Sure some may haunt one show or the other, but expect a lot more integration now Punk is not in control of Collision.

Disagree, having his talent work with this noise the entire weekend seems terrible. I think most of the talent will breathe a sigh of relief but why not just hold off until Monday? Does this entice people to check out the product for that fan reaction? Want to take a little shine from WWE Payback? 

Likely to pull the bandaid off before running two more shows in Chicago without Punk.  I expect the crowd to absolutely shit on Tony and AEW this weekend.

AEW women's roster beef still not solved yet, that's the next giant dark cloud in the forecast and Tony Khan still has yet to put that out. 

Now time to see if FTR will quit or not. Same for all of the other so called Punk guys that people claimed would leave if Punk was fired.

Surprise Tony actually fire him never thought he would pull the trigger but here we we. As a CM Punk fan it needs to be done

Real question, is how long is his non-compete, because fired with cause normally means full duration, which is 5 years left.

Closest thing I can think of is Zandig publically firing Eddie Kingston in the middle of a show, after he beat Hero in a losers leaves CZW match.

Was a weird fucking show.  

I wonder if we’ll see the “Real World’s Champion” jump ship to Stamford, with belt in tow?

He has a non-compete until sometime in 2028.  They will work that out in court when Punk sues next week.
