I live in a deep blue state. My mom is a lifelong Dem (albeit an idiosyncratic one who votes R sometimes) and my dad was one of those apolitical "all politicians are crooks" pduh types up until a few years ago. I actually wrote a super long post chronicling my political history for 🤯 about a month ago but ended up losing it. Shrugged and went back to full time wrestling posting.

Baker, JJ wrestled Matt Hardy tonight in NC at Wrestle Cade.  Also he is AEW now.  

Wonder if they are reloaded the props under the ring now...

Bush did a lot of good things after he left office.  What I admire the most is when Obama won, him bringing in Obama before his term even started to start work on the recession, even though politically he did not agree at all with what was being done.  Then he keep ties with them and did the tours with Clinton.  As politics got uglier and partisanship grew, he moved to the center and stood there.  He could have cashed in with the new right, but he instead withdrew and just did his own thing outside of politics.

Credit to Bush for that, but I was under the impression up until recent times, every outgoing President worked with the incoming one to help make the transition as smooth as possible. Other ex-POTUS'es spend time with each other because they're the only ones who really get what you go through with that sort of weight on your shoulders 24/7 for four or eight years straight.

And also credit to Bush for not jumping on the alt-right movement, but also post '08 his brand was so damaged he was persona non grata for forever. The (R)'s just didn't want to be associated with him.

Sounds like I'm being rough on him, but ultimately to me he seemed intellectually incurious. Not dumb, he's not a dumb man, but I would prefer someone who is able to challenge his own views all the way down to their core (the world is always changing, after all,) and he strikes me as someone who knows his beliefs and can't be swayed.

Sort of, I'd say more knock off Yu-Gi-Oh because the show revolved around tournaments. Remember that board game battling tops? It was that, but the tops had the spirit of mythical beasts inside and each character had different gimmicks.

I vaguely remember this getting over when I was finishing up at primary/elemantary school in the brief window between DBZ Pogs and Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

If they split them, the Rumble is a much, much better place to start that than war games. Have Sami accidently eliminate one of them out and go from there.

The Bloodline is the best thing in wrestling right now and it isn’t even close.

When they turn on Sami I’m going to have to book a week off work to recover mentally.
