That's a lot of matches.
Am I interested in any of them?
Yes. Garcia vs Yuta. Potentially Mercedes vs Athena and Joe vs Juice. That's about it.
How are Swerve In Our Glory still a team? Last I saw, Swerve slapped Lee and Lee walked out. What happened after that?

It's a big show for Juice Robinson. He's between a rock and a hard place since the match calls for Joe to go over and go over strong but if Juice can tap into that babyface fire he could turn some heads. It's something he needs because his debut against Moxley was really underwhelming and there is this air to the signing that he's just Toni Storm's Marc Mero.
Put me down for Jeff Cobb and Mascara Dorada. When I did that booking exercise a couple of months ago, that's the type of match I'd have loved. I'm a big fan of Mascara Dorada/Gran Metalik, so much so, he was my US Champion in my little Fire Pro Wrestling project I run as a hobby. I won't be against watching FTR/Briscoes or Yuta/Garcia again, but that match will be my #1 priority.

They probably cut a promo or something on Rampage that I missed. “We patched things up because if we split up creative will Miro us and we’ll disappear from TV.”

No real stakes but lots of talent in there. I think it’ll be a solid show overall. Juice is definitely in a weird spot because he’s technically still in Bullet Club and supposed to be a heel, but it feels like the crowd doesn’t know enough about him to decide one way or the other. If he pulls a Hogan and leaves BC and starts wearing big hats and fancy boas again that could get him over.

How are Swerve In Our Glory still a team? Last I saw, Swerve slapped Lee and Lee walked out. What happened after that? Keith Lee's former ROH Tag Team partner Shane Taylor interrupted Keith Lee on the December 2nd edition of Rampage. Taylor criticised Lee for falling out with Lee's partners and announced it would be Shane Taylor and JD Griffey vs. Keith Lee in a tag team match. Taylor wished Lee good luck in finding a partner at which point Swerve entered the frame with a cheeky smile on his face. Lee asked if he could even trust him before walking out. THe highlight of the promo was Renee having to introduce Shane Taylor. "Former Ring of Honor TV Champion Shane Taylor, what are you doing here?!" It's what you're supposed to do but it's just one of those ridiculous things. I'm sure they added more but I haven't seen any wrestling all week.

I was going to get this because:
A) It's an early start time.
B) I can't turn down something with Brian Cage and Dalton Castle facing off
But I don't want to sit and watch it on my laptop and my laptop has decided it doesn't want to connect to the TV
So never mind!

The Jericho Appreciation Society (Daddy Magic & Cool Hand) vs. Shinobi Shadow Squad (Cheeseburger & Eli Isom)
When Eli Isom has most normal name in a match, you know something is wrong.
Feels like Wheeler Yuta/Daniel Garcia has been done to death, but I can't wait to see the slapfighting get posted by AEW Botches so I am greatful.

WOW this is a really good pure rules match. Used the punch warning and Garcia forcing Yuta to burn rope breaks.

FTR and Briscoes working hard for a late MOTY here. One of the best Dog Collars I seen. Very good chain work. Good fusion too of old and new school, these guys clearly studied up.
FTR never been in a match like this that I remember, we going real hardcore. Cash Wheeler leaning into it all too with Mark while Harwood just goes stiff with Jay.
Fucking hell this match is crazy. So reminds me of the great 80's hardcore matches in the mid-South.
Ref busted open hardway, this is madness.
Wow. That was a crazy match and the best Dog Collar I seen.
Dem Boyz got their titles back, 13 time champs.
Gunns lay out a broken FTR.

After the show Tony announced RoH TV will be on the Honor Club with PPVs quarterly. NJPW will be involved to some degree, likely for excursions.

No clue. People who have it said the service got a makeover and it is much more usable now. Would not be a bad idea for NJPW to put stuff on to get people to to check out their product to try to backdoor some into their own service.

Just read about the television situation.
That's horrible news for AEW. All that valuable television time and they couldn't get anything so they have to go in-house and charge fans to watch a developmental brand.

One problem could have been the Briscoes. They are still banned from Warner-Discovery, but are the face of RoH. Due to overlap in talent though, Khan may not be able to set up deals outside of them in the US at least.

Honestly, they should have went Twitch "live" for the shows. Go off monthly subs and donations. Then have Uno and others do ad based things on the off hours.

It'll be interesting if we see less Claudio, Yuta, Joe, Athena etc. coming out of it. You'd have to think to drive some kind of demand there has to be some form of exclusivity to ROH. Plus, you want these guys to be presented as stars and that's difficult when you're also trying to prop up MJF and co.
I can't imagine the whole deal hinged on booking the Briscoes. I just imagine there wasn't huge interest from Warner and without shopping it around and rocking the boat with Warner they decided to take it in-house. It's bad news, but they may as well take a shot and see if they can run a spin-off show and create their own universe.

Warner wanted two non wrestling shows first so there is a backstage show and something else coming.
Without Brisceos, RoH is is all AEW talent. And whoever placed the block, FUCKING HATED the Brisceos, so I can see RoH being blocked just because they were associated with them.
Biggest thing is next year Tony re-negotiates the contract with AEW. I assume he will bring in the Brisceos then and fight hard for RoH to get an hour and for a second primetime two hour show. Tony has a lot of leverage this time around as they are one of Warners top rated products.
If RoH is regular weekly on Honor Club, I can see doing some exclusive people but from Dark and Elevation. Not people he spent big cash for. Be stupid.
