Do you have a "main" in Kart?

SNES - I was a huuuuuuuuuuuge SIMP for Koopa Troopa. Legit gave Wario X-Pac Heat for awhile because I felt his politic'd my boy out. I see reason today. 1996 me was NOT having it. Sometimes I'd use Bowser for his METAL winning theme.

64: Peach

DD: Once unlocked I went with the Toads. Koopa back but let's be real here... Sometimes I'd use King Boo and a mandatory jobber.

Wii: I bounced around a lot. Bowser Jr. maybe the most over, who I felt turned jobber Koopa into a name.

8: Generally Ludwig or Bowser Jr.

I didn't include the portables as those were generally a single play through and never touched again... consoles had that local multiplayer action.

I will however on occasion use Cat Peach in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as well.

Mario, never been to much into Mario Kart to care and he’s normally the first character selected IIRC.

I know it’s plain but vanilla is the highest selling ice cream flavour so it works.

My main is TipTup in Diddy Kong Racing aka the superior game.

I can’t remember who it was but there was a Pro-fighting game player and he used the exact same logic as when he started gaming he had limited time to play and didn’t want to wait precious seconds moving the cursor.

Must be a stitch up when they move Ryu a space across in SFVI.

Only played MK64 immensely but you gotta go with Wario. Just a great feeling when you bully the smaller racers with Wario. Yeah he didn't have Bowser's shell back that was an auto slide for opponents if hit but damn Wario just felt like a bully out there.

My favorite pick is Boo, or King Boo when available. I've just always thought he is the coolest character. I do often pick Mario too though since my name is Mario, so it just makes sense.

I used to pick Yoshi a lot when I was younger, but not anymore. I now pick Bowser on occasion though.

Hell, I'm just going to rate everyone in the picture.

Mario - 9/10, can't go wrong with the classic superstar that started it all. Total badass.
Luigi - 8/10, too similar to Mario so he comes off like a poser. Not much reason to pick him over Mario, but he is still cool and more relatable.
Peach - 6/10, not a main character.
Toad - 2/10, the most generic. Dumb NPC. Too many of them. Pass.
Yoshi - 7/10, he gets rode on so it's hard to maintain street cred but a pretty cool animal guy.
DK - 5/10, never really been a fan. Doesn't talk and just beats his chest like a dumb ape. I'd like to see him go up against Charlton Heston.
Wario - 9/10, he's a funny guy. The only reason he's not a 10 is because Waluigi does everything he does better.
Bowser - 9/10, the cool king. I've always been impressed by the way he says "Bwahaha".

I think I largely stayed with the light/slightly lighter characters because I tended to need all the help I could get. DD may have been an exception since I remember both DKs and Koopa Bros had great signature weapons (I may have mixed match as well). The only game I recall making a conscious choice was MK8 where I started off as Ludvig but went to Morton once I 'got gud'.

I don't play Mario Kart much, but when I do I pick one of three characters.

Boo - not in this thread apparently but I like the whole spooky ghost look.
Waluigi - As Lionheart pointed out, does Wario but better.
Wario - If I get bored of Waluigi.

Don't believe I've ever picked Mario. May have played a handful of other characters but I don't really remember doing so.

Emperor only picks HEELS.

I misunderstood the assignment, thought we had to choose from the OP pic options. I'm definitely Koopa Troopa, especially if we extend this to Mario Tennis, and I feel so seen by this Instanalysis.
