I think we're all missing the most important thing about the Royal Rumble match itself... it's never been established that you had a certain time to enter the Royal Rumble when your entrance music plays. In fact, commentators are constantly saying it's smart to bide your time before entering the match, and since Rey Mysterio never entered the ring he wasn't eliminated.

Going by the rules that have long been established, when Cody Rhodes leapt out of the ring, over the top rope to the floor, he thereby eliminated himself making Rey the REAL WINNER. It's a damn shame the company has allowed this to happen once again*, Rey Mysterio was screwed and if either the WWE or Cody Rhodes had any honour and/or integrity they will rectify this immediately.

*I'm reminded of the time Curtis Axel got screwed as well, during the 2015 Royal Rumble match, by that bastard Erick Rowan.

Anyways, it would be one thing, if Mr. Adam Pearce came out and said Rey Mystery couldn't compete and they had a replacement (like they've done recently), unfortunately, that did not happen, which means Rey Mysterio was still in the match and Cody Rhodes is not the rightful winner. Those cowards need to do right by the WWE Universe and give us Roman Reigns versus Rey Mysterio AKA the real winner of the 2023 men's Royal Rumble match.

A precedent was established in 2005 when Scotty 2 Hotty wasn't fit to compete after being attacked by Muhammad Hussein before entering the ring. Unless somebody takes that participant's place beforehand (ala Becky in 2019 filling in for Lana) then they're deemed ELIMINATED.

Rules don't apply to spoiled rich kids I'm afraid.

OK, then based on what Blindy posted, Booker T was a part of the match and wasn't eliminated, even if you use that to dismiss the argument that Rey Mysterio was deemed eliminated, Booker T was still legally in the match and Cody still eliminated himself.

For this, it's only right to see Booker T challenge Bron Breakker for the NXT championship. Booker will get some payback on the Steiner family decades later, especially after their Main Event Mafia run together. 

We want a Booker T big championship win at Mania. HHH owes it to him. 

Either way, Cody Rhodes didn't earn his Maina main-event match on account that he eliminated himself.

Edit: As Blindy mentioned, Booker went through the middle rope, managed to grab the top rope and tries to pull himself up, however, he couldn't hold on which is why the top rope looked like that.

I blame Triple H, if it was Vince, he'd be yelling in Michael Cole's ear, telling him Rey Rey was deemed eliminated a million times. There's only one solution to this mess, we redo a McMahon in every corner at WrestleMania... Roman Reigns putting the title on the line against Booker T, Cody Rhodes, and Rey Mysterio.

Blindy, Big Pete, let's compromise and just do a fatal four-way on night one of WrestleMania 39, then night two can see Curtis Axel get his long-awaited WrestleMania main event and not only beat but end Roman Reigns' title reign during night 2 of WrestleMania 39.

The only compromise I'll accept is the truth.

Booker T was eliminated fair and square. The proof is in the pudding!

Big Pete, I think we can at the very least agree, the last few years things have been out of control in regards to the Rumble match, with superstars being attacked and their spots having been stolen. There definitely needs to start being repercussions for the superstars that try and sabotage these matches, hell Hunter needs to step up and threaten to ban people from competing at WrestleMania if they ruin the Rumble match.

It's a Sunday, I'm bored and all joking aside I'm looking forward to Reigns/Rhodes at WrestleMania 39.

Also the amount of outside eliminations or attempted eliminations is getting a bit much. I suppose it’s a free for all and anything can happen, maybe they should just save it for just one of the Rumbles so it’s not repetitive.
