I liked Joe & Mac growing up but did not play this remake. I thought Alex Kidd was okay but have heard this remake wasn't very good. Capcom Fighting Collection seems dead as far as online plays goes on the Switch but you might get decent content from the single players but I voted Great Ace Attorney. I own it but have yet to play it but it has gotten really good reviews and my visual novel thread can use some love.

I've voted, but I'm curious...
How many Ace Attorney games have you played before? How many years has it been between Ace Attorney games?
Because they're great games if you've never played one before or it's been years, but not the type of series you want to dive into so quickly.

I've played through the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy that's out on Switch, so The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles wouldn't be my first time playing games in the series

Phoenix Wright transcends the genre, it's like the Studio Ghibli of visual novels where we'll put aside our reservations for 'weeb-shit' and accept the game can be enjoyable.
The problem with you visual-novelists, just like the weebs out there is that when we admit we enjoyed Spirited Away suddenly you're throwing all these anime titles that sound completely made up.
"Oh you enjoyed Phoenix Wright? How about Root Double Before Double After Days or The Results When I Leaped Through Time To My Second year In High School So I Could Tongue Kiss My Teacher.
WTF?
It's good! Trust me...
Never trust anyone who says trust me. -_-
Anyways 100th title so the game needed some prestige. The Great Ace Attorney has some more love put into it but I would have considered the others if...
If I was a huge Alex The Kidd fan, wanted to try out the new levels and enjoy the new art style. Or I was just a fan of these 2D animated platformers and wanted another one for the collection.
If I was a huge fan of Darkstalkers, CyberBots, Street Fighter etc. and just wanted an excuse to play through them again. Or I was a fan of just Street Fighter and wanted to try the other games out on a rainy day.
If I loved 2D Beat Em Ups and had played through everything else the genre had to offer. Or grew up with Joe and Mac, loved those games because they reminded me of simpler times when Dinosaurs ruled the 90s and just wanted something to play with the kiddos.
I've always been partial to Capcom, so it was always going to come down to Attorney or Fighting Classics. Probably Attorney because all those games can be easily emulated. With that said, I have been thinking about those fighting games more since I've been diving into the PS1 catalogue.

Outside of my Switch games, the majority of my gaming collection (PS2, PS4, etc.) is still packed in bins, the Wife and I are thinking of looking for a bigger place and/or place with a basement, so I can set up the whole collection. But I mean, if you really want the Switch collection posted, I'm sure I can do that.

I forgot I had a few 3DS games on my Switch shelves. Edit: Also, I gotta replace the last two digital copies I have, those being Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy (released physically in Japan), and the Contra Anniversary Collection (as soon as PNP Games gets it in (via Limited Run) I plan on picking it up).

Just in case there was any doubt, here's a pix of the 100th game in my Switch collection (that artwork is a thing of beauty). Foos, Blindy, jTjohncenaGOAT, sandylea, Big Pete, @ness and everyone else who voted thank you and I'll see you all for #150 when the time comes. Now that I got this out of the way, I can look forward to Metroid Prime Remastered, Kirby's Return to Dream Land and Ocotopath Travelers once they release (aka the games I plan on picking up with my tax return).

Love to see it Lony, I have it for the Nintendo Switch too(My brother got it for me as a bday gift). And yeah I get it Big Pete, Ace Attorney series is one of the few that transcends the genre as a whole. Tons of really good shit in this genre though! Yeah I dived somewhat deep into this genre the past few months and did you know there are other genres such as Otome(I recently bought Variable Barricade which is a massively obscure game, Otome is a female protagonist who can date male protagonists) or Yuri(Female-female relationship games) within a visual novel. Shit is craaaaazy  Given the nature of how long these games can get, you can only play a set amount!

There's actually a ton of VN games (or adventure games) I'd love to play like Policenauts, Snatcher, Danganronpa, 428: Shibuya Scramble, Tsukikomori etc. but my backlog is gargantuan as is.
