A long-term play if the MITB was held by a babyface or a heel on the verge of a turn might be Reigns beating Sami at Elimination Chamber, but The Bloodline is weakened.
Reigns just, and I mean just retains at Wrestlemania with some help from The Bloodline, KO/Sami neutralize The Usos before the 3 count, sacrificing themselves in the process... but it's not enough, Cody has endured too much, just when all hope is lost - the deus ex machina moment, the sound of say, a babyface's music hitting and the sight of a fresh contender sprinting to the ring with briefcase in hand.
But the babyface cashing in needs to be white-hot, a top 5 babyface and a some what equally sentimental fan favourite, otherwise the crowd will eat him alive after seeing Sami defeated and Cody defeated in the space of a month.
It's convoluted. I think in reality the best case scenario is Sami delivering a Helluva kick to Reigns and feeding him to Cody for the win.

If only Theory still had his briefcase, then Zayn winning could have been okay, then Reigns could have destroyed Zayn, leading to a cash in  Can anyone beat this for worst idea of all time? 😂 It's okay...A-Town down will win the title one day, and I hope it's at the expense of someone we all love 😎

People were actually picking Nikki to win. I don't even watch WWE outside of the odd PPV and even I knew she would be one of the first ones eliminated. This company hates her.
