He did not say concurrent, likely unique hits to the channel on average. But does call into question the way wrestling news sites give numbers. Not one wrestling journalist faces legal liability for giving misleading information. That president does though.
Also not likely to be a single number being reported. Number shit was what I used to, and averages are the number of interest. Particularly running average. The ratings of a single episode are meaningless to stakeholders for determining value. Guys says 4 million viewers watch weekly, that is exactly what it means. The running average of unique hits is 4 million. If he misspoke there will be an official retraction sometime tomorrow. Mot likely though a stats guys would give their boss something so wrong though, as that would be an instant firing.

The websites take their figures from Nielsen, so if Warner Bros. Discovery have an issue they'd take it up with that company.
They could have hit 4,000,000 'unique' views on a few episodes and that would count as 'weekly'.
It's an over-inflated number but at the end of the day it's just meant to justify this Rhodes To The Top replacement. The show should hopefully be better too as they had to resort to all sorts of contrived and misleading edits to make sense of Cody's story.

Warner Media is not reporting the Neilson US numbers. That is a different metric. People arguing that Warner is wrong, are getting fast overnights concurrent numbers, which are not accurate, for the US, and claiming that is the worldwide number exposure number.
It is reported they use anyone who watches from 7 to 12 for at least a minute for the exposure calculation.
Two numbers being reported with different meanings.
//
Looks like Kingston tried to get out of the Access by swearing a lot. And the office decided to use that in the show anyway as they loved it.
//
Also the MJF promo is said to be a shoot in that Naomi bailed and they were not following each other on social media anymore.

Warner Media is not reporting the Neilson US numbers. Obviously not because it doesn't sound as good so they pluck one misleading metric to boost the profile of one of their programs. Tale as old as time and goes to show who the real carnies are.
Any viewer who watches 1 minute from 7pm-12am.
So TK has another reason to thank Chuck Lorre...

All companies report internal metrics over Neilson metrics as Neilson metrics are only a part of the US, which is meaningless in the modern era of international markets. HHH does the same exact thing during the shareholder meetings.
Neilson metrics are like reporting the viewers in Ohio. Neither number gives an accurate account of the worldwide viewer numbers across all mediums.

I'd imagine it's more accurate than including people who happen to flick their television onto the Big Bang Theory for one minute they're actually interested in an AEW reality show.

But using a fraction of the American TV market to give the total number of international viewers on TV, mobile or streaming services is far more deceptive than the method they are using now.
By Neilson numbers, half this thread did not watch AEW despite them commenting on it here either.

Nobody is saying Nielsen is a perfect system, but counting somebody who watches a minute of BBT as a member of the AEW audience is ridiculous.

No more so than treating America as the only country on Earth. Or cable the only way watch TBS.
And that was not what they said anyway. They said brings in to the network. Which is entirely true. Did not say they retain them, just bring them in.
But hey, as I said earlier, if they are truly misleading people, someone surely will sue them. They are publicly traded, and knowing making a false statement make them liable for damages.

By their logic PowerSlap also brings in 4 million and was a ratings smash hit.
Why would anyone sue? What they said may have technically true, it's just eye roll inducing and has been rightfully called out.

On the Uno blade job, not only was it a good visual but it added some urgency to the situation and added some stakes to the Dark Order/Blackpool Combat Club brawl. If Silver & Reynolds swooped in merely because Moxley kept the Bulldog Choke in too long it would have seemed like an overreaction to have two guys take care of it.
On top of that you want to get across how dangerous and ruthless Moxley is, so Moxley opening up a cut and making a statement after Uno nearly stole a victory added to his persona.
Now Hangman nailing Moxley with barbwire so Moxley could get some colour at the end of the show was a bit too much. It's like opening your presents before Christmas day, save it for the PPV. Did they debut Hangman's new music for the interference? I didn't get a good chance to hear it but even if the song is better than Hangman's original theme, save it for an official entrance. I could be wrong on that but a few AEW fans on my timeline were blowing up about it.

I'm not sure it's been posted yet.
Per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics:
“I’m told the measurement pertains to viewers who watched at least 1 minute of TBS on Wednesday from 7pm-12am, each week on average in 2022."
Using that logic, Monday Night RAW did 8 million viewers. The Attitude Era is back!

One of AEW's biggest draws returns to America next week.
That's right, Riho is coming back! She's gonna face Toni Storm.
