Who is that?
And Jets fans are just as bad. And a lot of the rational Packer fans were vindicated with the trade compensation that the blowhard Jets fans said we’d never get.
Again who the fuck is Justin Jones? Stay in your lane you nobody.

Also takes a real douchebag to run his mouth when he can’t even cash the check anymore because Rodgers is gone. Didn’t see him saying shit last year.
Go to the practice squad you phony.

Why were they forced to do it? Didn't the Jets do this about 10 years ago? Sadly, it’s because they will give HBO the biggest ratings. That’s why they aren’t forcing the Saints, Bears, or Commanders to do it. I kind of wish they’d just end Hard Knocks(the preseason version anyway). The format has got stale and the teams no longer want to participate in it.

Teams are bitches for not wanting to do it, it gave the Lions a big pop last season. And the last time the Jets were on the show was also the last time they made the playoffs.

I will say this about the Hard Knocks show and that the Jets got forced into it....
it 100% made Joe Douglas cave into the GOAT Nicole Lynn's demands of getting Quinnen Williams his money because 4 year 96 mill is big time money, 66 mill guaranteed. No need for any drama or Revis like nonsense happening on this show, this would have been a wet dream for HBO had the Quinnen contract talks went further into the training camp.
Nicole Lynn has to be considered up there for the best agents in the game. Help get Quinnen the 2nd highest salary for a DT and got Jalen Hurts that amazing money.

I disagree, not because it’s Williams but because any contract dispute is fun for Hard Knocks.
But I doubt that was the Jets motivation. Just happy they got it done so now the Chiefs know the number they have to beat.

Not sure if HBO like how open Rodgers is about talking conspiracy theories or psychedelic drugs to be honest. Especially if they want to cater this program to TV-14(Not sure if it gets the MA rating despite it being HBO and all). Feels like he's such a wildcard but thus far, he's been great and has been a fantastic teammate so no qualms. Been really impressed with Rodgers to be honest thus far even if it's the honeymoon period. Of course Rodgers is the biggest name on the team but as mikec alluded to, having that internal struggle of players questioning where their best defensive player is would have been made for good TV. Yeah Hard Knocks alone didn't end up getting the deal done, as you said Mike, the Payne/Lawrence/Simmons deals made the market more or less but the hardball aspect of NYJ wanting 5 years vs Williams side wanting 4 was ultimately the tug of war with the latter winning out, potentially due to the incoming microscope. Feel like it wasn't worth the bad blood over something relatively small. Jets now need to seal the deal on their 2 remaining draft picks in Will McDonald & Badger alum Joe Tippmann. Kwon Alexander should also be resigned too. Work ain't over Douglas.

Yeah the contract disputes are always a good nugget and would probably introduce more people to the caliber of player Williams is because as it stands I don’t think the casual fan , especially outside of the New York bubble really know who he is. Sauce gets all the coverage on that side of the ball and we all know where the attentions going on offense.

Fuck they’d sign that show to a deal right now. Love him or hate him, Rodgers is a lightning rod for people because he is such an enigma of a human being.

Sauce gets all the coverage on that side of the ball and we all know where the attentions going on offense. Speaking of Sauce, since you mentioned him this whole Asaunte Samuel Sr shit has been pretty frustrating to say the least. Most of the CBs were like "Why even drag someone down" when Samuel was discussing that the NY media has inflated Gardner's star status more than what he's done thus far in his young career. Samuel vs Revis has been amazing though, two big egotistical heads who won titles with the Pats just shredding each other's lowlights. The way Samuel Sr is speaking, you'd think he was Darrell Green out there. Sauce has to let it go though with this whole him vs Tariq Woolen thing. I know people compare them since they're in the same draft class and both were great year 1. Woolen proved he should have been a much, much, much higher pick. I know he isn't really playing it up but he's eating the Seahawks/Jets twitter trollfest. Woolen on the other hand isn't even phased by any of it.

Titans have a terrible record signing veteran WRs in recent years, but even with his decreased recent output I think he still has more in the tank than Julio and Bobby Trees did. I actually really like Tennessee at +350 to win the AFC South, they've (on paper) addressed the things that held them back last season, OC and o-line and receiver depth.

Hopkins to the Titans is pretty gross. I remember putting All Time teams together on one of the PS2 Maddens and realizing how historically thin that team really has been at several positions since their existence as the Titans starting in 99, particularly at receiver. If you were to try to put together a franchise all time team roster using exclusively Titans era players there are a few great ones but it's tough to fill out a full roster without going back to the Oilers. At QB yeah Mcnair was great but who would his backups be? Marriota and Tannehil? At least we had Schaub and Watson and Carr getting TKO'd every game was at least entertaining. Great RB depth with Eddie George, Chris Brown, and Derrick Henry, but look at WR; Derrick Mason, Nate Washington, and Drew Bennett are your All Time WR1/WR2/WR3 eek. It's easy to see why they would want that Oilers history there.

Tennessee is where receivers go to die , not sure why he would choose that over plenty of other options.
AJ Brown is probably their greatest receiver of the Titan era. Perhaps behind Mason only because of longevity.

Tennessee is where receivers go to die , not sure why he would choose that over plenty of other options. I don't think there were that many options, the market definitely didn't develop for him like he probably would have expected. The fact that he's taken less money than OBJ tells you a lot about how the timing didn't work in his favour. It sounded like the Patriots were really the only other team genuinely interested and that always seemed like a longshot with Bill O'Brien in place. Everyone got hot in the pants about the Chiefs and Bills but they never had the cap space.

I get that it comes down to money a lot of the time but I don’t believe for a second he wouldn’t have benefited from taking a smaller deal on a one year option with a better team , recouping his stock and get one last good deal. Not even necessarily the Chiefs or Bills but there would be plenty of more interesting options out there.

Hopkins should have came back to the Texans but not sure where he stands with ownership. Hopkins outside of Andre Johnson is one of the best Texan WRs of all time, for him to throw that away and sign with the Titans does away all of that legacy. Reminds me of when Andre Johnson put on both the Colts & Titans unis.
I would have said the Browns make sense too given all they have that is proven & isn't a malcontent is Amari Cooper. Could have used a WR2 IMHO to have Hopkins try and carry their QB (yet again) but Browns are a run first team so they probably feel like Chubb is the bellcow.

The Browns have far more depth than the Titans - DPJ was a solid #2 last season, they drafted Tillman to be their big body outside guy, and added two gadget types in Moore and Goodwin. Tennessee's #2 before signing Hopkins was Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, they would have been right down there with Houston for the weakest receiving corps in the league.

I agree with Peoples Jones and maybe Cedric Tillman, but I am really talking more so proven and giving their 200+ million guaranteed QB someone he has loads of familiarity with. Guys like Throw me the ball Moore, Anthony Schwartz and Tillman are purely potential. Guess Njoku will get more shots to catch given what he got recently money wise. Would have liked to see Stroud get someone proven to throw too. Lot banking on Nico Collins development and Metchie coming back from cancer to get open for him. And I guess Robert Woods on a buy low investment.

Between Yung Joka terrorizing Giant fans in PMs on social media(He claims he was hacked) and letting them know he won a super bowl and now this Barkley stuff, this might be the 1st true test for Schoen & Daboll under this Giants regime. To their credit, they have not cracked thus far in but the Barkley stuff could get really ugly.

Barkley has had so many injuries and he has 1 shot to really cash in for something long term, he's on a year to year basis practically so given (when on the field) how valuable he's been for NYG, I get why he feels hurt. Especially when Daniel Jones just signed that mega deal but that is going to be one of the repercussions of that contract.
