To put a point of emphasis on Sam Darnold getting his career flatlined from the get go, he has had three of the biggest laughing stock head coaches of the past 10 years in Toddy who might be the worst current head coach in the game, Adam Gase who has never developed a young QB ever and Matt Rhule who was negotiating with Nebraska before he was even fired. Steve Wilks in like 6 games together might have been the best coach he's had to work with since his NFL arrival to put that in perspective. 

I really hope the rumors of him going to Buffalo to pull a Trubisky and reset himself by learning behind his good friend Josh Allen are true. Not because I want Buffalo to do good but because Darnold still has some talent IMHO. He won't ever be an assassin the pocket but he can do good things on off scripted plays and outside the pocket.

Say whatever you want about Lamar Jackson but it is messed up teams are just going out in the public on not wanting him. This is after he nearly fell out of the 1st round.

It's generally forgotten (and overshadowed by the dick pics) that Favre was actually really good for the Jets before he tore his bicep. He had a game winning drive to beat the Patriots, beat the 10-0 Titans, and had a six touchdown game against the Cardinals who went on to win the NFC Championship. It sounds as though the Packers aren't exactly driving a hard bargain with Rodgers and that it might not take the #13 pick for the Jets to get him. That's an absolute no brainer.

Seems like the Chiefs are going to let Orlando Brown go. I don’t love Orlando, but I don’t understand the benefit of not tagging him. They want a “long-term” solution, but there is no obvious replacement unless they think Niang is going to be good, but he wasn’t good enough to beat out Wylie at RT this year.

I guess if they’re so close to an extension they had faith they’d get it done… but that doesn’t seem likely to me.

Draft Dawand Jones in a AJ Brown/Treylon Burks type of way.

I like that the first line in his NFL.com scouting profile strengths is “Human mountain”

Seems like a good move for that low cost, at worst this is depth. Jets needed safety help as Whithead & Joyner were pretty bad last year. 

As someone technically adopted by court papers(By my grandmother), this really hurts to hear. How ungrateful and how terrible do you have to be to not see how fortunate you have it to be adopted to a caring family when so many kids don't even get such a chance. Happy fields can get a worthwhile WR in DJ Moore but like what is CAR gonna supply Bryce Young to build around him? Draft ammo is gone, guess you can say he's on a rookie salary and that they can get free agents but this isn't ideal for a rookie QB to step into even if Frank Reich has a fair track record.

Well whoever Carolina drafts is going to be great because it’s another QB Chicago passed on.

Also sucks for Texans if they wanted Bryce Young at 2, not happening unless CAR is smitten over Anthony Richardson or CJ Stroud.

Houston might have the better situation on paper for a young QB to step in if the choice is CAR vs HOU.

I also think for the Jimmy G camp, if Las Vegas goes all in as him being the non-threatened QB1, he sides with them. Carolina and Houston may offer more money but he'd be a bridgegap to the franchise QB and I think in his scenario given the past 2 years, he might opt to ride with McDaniels.

That’s a great haul for Chicago, especially addressing WR prior to FA. It means they have a lot of flexibility now. This is why it was always ridiculous that people thought they would trade Fields.

While we all wait for QAnon Watch 2023 to happen, some good and potentially bad news for the Jets.

Good news is LB Quincy Williams, brother of Quinnen got himself a 3 year 18 mill deal which is a good figure for him. He continues to get better, he proved to be a heck of a claim from the Jaguars few seasons ago. I also always get up for his "TFL Uppercut" one of the better animations by a defenders in the game IMHO. Quincy hits mad hard too, not sure if the Jets get to keep Kwon Alexander as hell but both guys threw some beauts this past year.

Bad news is Commanders DT Daron Payne got massively paid and this starts the ballpark talk for Quinnen Williams and his agent Nicole Lynn to try and get 23 mill per or better. Quinnen is a pure beast though it sucks to have to really pay him that much but he deserves it. Has been a stud for the past 3 seasons.

Chef's kiss to these sticks. He just needs to watch where he overpursues on running plays that bounce outside because he is only going to get better!
