So Orlando Brown ends up taking less from the Bengals than he reportedly turned down from the Chiefs last season (and less than KC ended up paying Jawaan Taylor) so that was not exactly a great job by his agent. Good deal for Cinci though, it's heavily front loaded to time with when they have to pay Burrow and Chase.

Just saw the Jordan Poyer news. I’m happy. I was worried both him and Tre would be gone and keeping one of them is a win imo.

Jeff Smith going to the Giants, he's a solid WR5. He got snaps over Denzel Mims purely based on special teams, he is a good gunner and can give you emergency QB snaps/WR throws if called upon as an ex Boston College QB. Every now and then can make plays as a WR, he was eating Detroit up good when Zach Wilson was throwing to him.
Happy he got on a team that can use WR help like NYG. He's a solid hand. Giants between Leonard Williams, Jason Pinnock, Lawrence Cager and now Jeff Smith are really adding their ex Jets. What's next? Joe Flacco the backup to Daniel Jones?

Darius Slay back with Philly in what might have been the quickest taste of free agency after a release possible. Pretty impressive stuff by Roseman to get him and Bradberry together.

Figured @admin needs a little pick me up after the MLB news tonight but this needed it's own post. Anytime Josh McDaniels gets shit on, you gotta post it. Mini Belichick without the success. NY sports gets another babe. Fuck Joe Flacco, Kelsey Plum should be backing Daniel Jones up. Look at the arm. That's a better hail mary than the guy the Jets are trying to trade for.

Yes I was following that drama! Apparently they were pissed because McDaniels talked about their wedding at the combine and they weren't making it public. The whole thing seems very messy from the Raiders, signing guys to extensions and then moving them on within a year, that's not how good teams operate.

Brandon Marshall who clashed with him when he left Denver is practically calling for his head and for him to be gone from the NFL if he fails again. Can't wait until McDaniels drafts Bijan Robinson with the 7th pick and tells Josh Jacobs "Work with him Josh please". Got the Pop Secret popcorn ready, movie butter and all.

He would fall straight back into an OC job but I think it would have to be close to evens that he doesn't make it to next season. They've got a less dynamic QB and still have no one on defence, I'll be surprised if they don't finish last in the division.

This has never been a player to get as disproportionate an amount of coverage in the NFL than Zach Wilson. Could be the podcasts I listen to and the forums I read, to be fair.

Yeah he's a really easy target for whatever reason. Guess people will buy into the whole "Spoiled white rich kid who talks a bigger game than his.....game". Pretty sad how he's getting thrown under the mud by teammates but he has to step up whenever the time comes.

Jumping for joy over the Jamaal Williams signing. He’s been one of my favorite non-Saints players over the last few years. Great guy to have in the locker room and will be a nice compliment to Kamara. Will have to lean on him a lot for some games with Kamara’s suspension looming. They will still need to draft a young back (Spears from Tulane is a popular mock here). I’d be satisfied with that RB room.
Saints also signed a couple of solid DT after Onyemata and Shuttle left. DL is another need that they should address in the draft. Overall a solid day for the Saints.

Williams is so great to have on your team as a personality and just solid 2nd back than can do everything. I honestly think the Lions lose a lot of that swagger and backbone they showed last year by letting him walk.

Nathan Sheppard was the 2nd longest tenured Jet after Quinnen Williams, one of the last holdovers from Mike McCagnnan. He's a decent run stuffing rotational player, not everydown player. He came on good the past 1-2 seasons after being a bust early on despite the age difference and all. He has a tendency to go for late hits & stupid fouls so forewarning on that. Also had a notoriously hilarious flop against Aaron Rodgers during the scrimmages 2 offseasons ago. Demario Davis and Marcus Maye will set him straight if he tries to cheapshot QBs after the throw though.

So, Rodgers will end up with the Jets, "retire" after one season, then sign with the Vikings, while Jordan Love leads Green Bay to a Super Bowl...
Hopefully that plays out, then the cycle repeats again in 12 years.😂

Probably age. Montgomery is 25 and Williams will be 28 at the start of the season. Do think it hurts the Lions chemistry wise but I’ve also read high praise about Montgomery’s character from Bears’ fans so we will see.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they took a DT with the 29th pick. Sheppard will become a much needed depth piece. I think Saunders will land a starting role. We just need bodies right now.

Juju and Belichick is such an odd fit man. Bill O Brien is going to give him the Hopkins talk he gave him a few seasons ago. What a weird signing, why not sign Myers to that type of deal? Juju is a good possession receiver and they like those in New England. I’m not sure why the weird fit, he did everything he was asked to do in KC well.

They have one already in Agholor and had one in Myers who meshed well with Mac Jones. Unless Myers got far more money, why not keep something that was consistent?

Agholor is not a possession receiver. He isn't a #1 guy either nor is he a reliable outside threat. Proven in Philadelphia with unreliable hands and to a lesser extent the Raiders. He's at best inside. NE needs a burner or someone who can win with ease for separation, I know the WR FA class was lacking but my main point is replacing Myers with Juju. I don't get that choice alone. Unless Thornton develops in year 2 to the extent of being a go to guy, they are putting their eggs in a rookie WR potentially. You can only run with Stevenson so much.

Ragged on the Pats offensive deals but replacing Jonnu Smith with Mike Gesicki is a good move. He got neutralized in the McDaniel offense last year, sucks he's still in the AFC East. He always kills the Jets. Prior SOTN winner.
Speaking of Miami, shameful that Braxton Berrios refused to restructure only to take 1 year deal to sign with Miami due to him being from Miami and out of spite to play NYJ 2x a year. Still did so many good things as a Jet but sucks he signed with Miami, much like with Mike White.

That's true, that is a good point. Though CHI was shutting Fields down once it became clear Houston was shooting itself out of the top pick since there's no need to risk his health for anything. Jets resign Legatron/Zuerlein which is vital since we lost Berrios for his kick & punt return duties and (should) replace Braden Mann with a better punter. Outside of like 2-3 games, Legatron was pretty darn good with the Jets. Should have never been let go, Mann was out of action for a bit 2 years ago and NYJ signed on Morstead and he was very good but got cut since Mann was a 6th rounder of Douglas.

Big Texans news ToddLaremy Tunsil becomes the highest paid LT in the game and Brandin Cooks is traded to Dallas for a couple of Day 3 picks. Makes WR a big need at 12 for Houston I think. Good move for Dallas though Cooks sort of plays like Lamb, Dallas can still use a worthwhile intermediate option.

That's great value for the Cowboys. Arizona have to be hating this because it surely pushes the price for Hopkins down.
Happy for Tunsil and how he's managed to (re)build his career after what happened to him at the draft. He represented himself, and now is likely to become the biggest non-QB earner of all time with one more contract.
