Buried in all the Tony drama is Mistico is coming to AEW. Tony got a deal with CMLL, likely so they can use LFI again. Reports are CMLL and AAA are ok with guys from both working AEW, so long as CMLL guys do not fight people involved in AAA.

Which is huge as these feds normally will not work with a fed at all, if the other is.

What's weird is my first thought of Mistico was... wow he's still active? Then I went to his wiki and he's only 40. I know in Mexico they're full time by age 8 but I really thought he was far OLDER. The Sin Cara era of WWE feels like a lifetime ago.

Unsafe work environment. Most people do about the same in AEW. A few people do better and some do worse. Adam Cole is one who decision was worse in every way.

I imagine we will be seeing these two in AEW really soon.  If not GCW will be more than happy to get them.  NJPW most likely as well.

Unless something has changed, Sting did say his last match would be this year. We're half way through October and there is only 1 AEW PPV left before 2024. Could see him announcing his final match at the PPV, potentially against Copeland.

He said prior he wants to go out tagging with Darby. Likely will be a big passing of the torch moment since Sting been playing it for years now. Edge match would just be to give Edge one of the dream matches he never got.  

Either way, something big since Sting never does announcements.

I do really hope after Sting leaves, Tony gets him on some senior agent role backstage.  Assume WWE will want him for the same.  Sting one of those guys no one will talk shit to.  I suspect though when Sting walks away it will be like when Taker did, and he is walking away to a quiet retirement.  

I mentioned it in the Rampage thread that... Mistico will be on next week's Rampage. Apparently the rumor is that CMLL talent will be allowed to appear in AEW, under the condition, that they don't interact with AAA talent in the ring/backstage segments, etc.. Which in all honestly, given both company's history with one another, this makes sense. As someone who enjoys both AEW and CMLL, this is awesome news to me. So many guys in CMLL that I would love to see in AEW, even if it's one-off matches here and there.

Given their history that is still fucking huge. What is also huge as a CMLL fan, as this should also mean, their talent gets to come back, including LFI.

And yeah Tony now has access to the CMLL guys. Would love to see him do a round robin world cup thing in the future, perhaps with tag teams or trios. US, UK, Japan and Mexico. Almost all Aussies of note work Japan so can toss them in there.

I'd take the AEW deal.

His agent is the one the Elite and Jericho use, I assume he is going to AEW. This agent not repped a big WWE name in decades to seems like.

He was openly talking about TNA a few days ago as well.

Whoever lands Will, will be landing him with a big money contract. TNA just does not have that much to offer. Also why lock him down, when you can let Tony do it, then push for talent share agreements again, offering Speedball?

Reason Will is talking about going to WWE or TNA is to drive up his market price. Classic tactic of Bloom. Almost certainly, Will does AEW until he is ready to really slow down his style, then goes to WWE for the rest of his career.

Will will be a valuable asset wherever he goes. TNA would push him to the moon and he won't get lost in the shuffle, but the money isn't there. Plus he will be seen by less people then NJPW even in the US. WWE would probably make him feel special and most likely push him better then AEW but they could lose interest with him at the drop of a hat. AEW would feature him well but probably have the lowest chance at being a champion there, but his money would probably be in the best state there.

Hopefully Cody's phonebook extends to Ospreay.

They would have to offer him significantly more cash than Tony can, as Will does not like the product or their style of wrestling and made both well known. The fact he would even consider a WWE contract now is news. I think he would need Brock cash to sign right now.

Ric Flair just signed a multi-year deal with AEW, and his WOOOOOOOO! Energy Drink will now be AEW's official energy drink.

So Flair will work AEW for the rest of his life.

Got a feeling the contract for Flair is simply to keep him exclusive to AEW while his energy drink is being hocked. If he did an appearance for WWE while AEW is promoting his energy drink it would ruffle feathers.

Doubt we will see much of him on television. Maybe a little bit at first, a one-off with Andrade/LFI for the family ties, or revolving around Sting's retirement run, but I wouldn't expect to see him much more than that.

Still, that's gonna annoy fans that look at AEW as the progressive alternative to WWE.

He will be around as much as he wants I assume. I just do not really see him wanting to travel so much though as he looks and sounds like shit.
