Like I said, that doesn't matter to me, what matters is how well it's received by the community. Will it have legs or will fans go cold on it just like they did with Dynamite which had buzz initially then fans realised just how shallow it was. Hopefully the game can actually deliver a modern No Mercy experience.

Big Pete nailed it, re: No Mercy and AEW fucking it up by adding their own spin. Somewhere along the line the creative process shoved its head up its own ass and lost sight of what the fans wanted. When the first images dropped and the announcement was made there was a ton of buzz and excitement online because fans thought they were getting a throwback to No Mercy or WCW/NWO Revenge. They literally just wanted that game with a modern spin, better controls, and more customization options. Maybe online play. That's it. If they delivered that, DLC or no DLC, they would have been fine. I would have been at Game Stop before they opened on release day. I would have pre-ordered that shit and I NEVER pre-order games. They dropped the ball, plain and simple. We were this close to getting an alternative to WWE2K that a lot of fans would have loved and they fucked it all up.

Andrew Zarian said on the Matmen podcast today that AEW is planning a large stadium show this year in the US.
Someone wrote in with a superchat asking if it was Forbidden Door and he heavily hinted that’s what he was talking about by saying that Forbidden Door is intended to be a stadium show every year now.
Sounds like they will make it a huge summer event every year and try to sell out a stadium. Makes sense if CMLL is involved this year too that they go to a place in the south. Houston or Miami would be a good spot for that.
Then next year do it at the Tokyo Dome.

I imagine the Astrodome would be the place, assuming Texas does not arrest the CMLL talent for being migrants <.<

Forbidden Door with CMLL involved?
As one of, if not the only person on here, who watches CMLL on an almost weekly basis (Tuesday's Martes De Arena Mexico shows, as well as Friday's Super Viernes shows, even if on delay due to how they host it on YT), I am excited by this.

I have a gut feeling that the goal for Forbidden Door II is CMLL vs AAA with Tony and crew meditating. It would be something too they can run back in Mexico for huge money.

You're not saying that would be the entire show are you? Because there's no way in hell. Maybe a multi-tag match involving both companies but even that is a huge stretch getting them to work together on another company's show. Also it's Forbidden Door III. It'll be really interesting to see if they land Okada. Having both him and Will Ospreay on their AEW side will be very different from the previous two years. Both those men were the biggest NJPW names that AEW fans wanted to see, and if both of them are Team AEW this year there could actually be some interesting dynamics to the matches instead of "NJPW guy shows up and challenges AEW guy." The NJPW show tomorrow could have repercussions leading into the summer if both men are signed. I have a feeling United Empire are going to turn on Will Ospreay after the cage match, and Okada is facing Tanahashi for the last time "in NJPW." Depending who wins we could see The Ace showing up this summer berating Okada for walking away.

Rumors are Tony will finally find out. His tweet about Rossi is said to have pissed off many in Stardom and likely cost him any potential future associations between the fed, Rossi's offshoot fed, and many people in both working for him.
Maybe this will finally get him to get a PR person for twitter.

Update on Kenny. Tony said basically he is stable and doing better. Still no timeline for a return, basically comes down to when he is better as he was seriously fucked up and cannot have that happen again. No word on if he needs surgery or not yet still.

Oh shit, looking like Edge may have to go back to WWE in the near future. "Oh boy, I don't know, I'm stubborn, I don't take advice. It's a good question and that's probably the honest answer. I listen to people say things, but very rarely do I listen hard. I was part of the movement that created the entire company and I'm a World Champion. I don't know that I need their advice. I'll certainly listen, but there is something to be said about trial and error and doing it on our own. I take more pride in that."

QT found the grass is not green on the other side and is back with AEW as VP of talent. Tony just gave him his old job back.
As of now he will be working primarily backstage and not be part of the on air show. He is also free like the rest of the roster to take bookings elsewhere.

QT vastly overestimated his popularity. He has been nothing since Cody left. Probably thought his buddy would get him a cushy WWE job. What a goof.

That is not fair, he is teaming with Marty Scurll in Mexico!!! I assume Cody tried to get him to come over to WWE and they flat out rejected him and he had to come crawling back.

I'm 100% convinced someone in WWE saw some of his segments in AEW, and was like " absolutely not "
