In terms of wrestling, who currently has the most aura? Has to be Roman but who else? At least kids aren't over using " give them their flowers " anymore for any minor accomplishment. Matt Hardy should almost get thrown into a wood chipper for introducing this phrase to fans' vocabulary. 🤮

Yous are all going to just love Uncle Dave’s latest term. “Angle show” After watching midgets no sell elbow strikes for 20 years, he may of forgot what wrestling is.

I skipped most of SS as I really am not into the WWE style, but didn't people say Gunther vs Priest was a banger?
Why would it be considering that Grand Slam is not selling tickets heavy before a card is announced? We are still two PPVs away from that show with no matches booked.
Also Dave is the source and he proved a few times that he cannot always read the ticket sale data properly. He said Collision had 645 tickets out for that show and clearly that was not 645 people there for TV. He also said the Carth WWE PLE was not selling tickets because he read the wrong column.

Last year they had 11K fans, 6K sold in the last week. Assuming they even come close to that in the final week, it’s still a 30% drop in ticket sales year over year.

The sale model became more well known in the last year that if you wait until last minute you can get tickets for next to nothing as Tony rushes to fill the arena. He became predictable, so fans smartened up and adjusted. Given he is not selling out surprised he is not offering day of free admitmance.

I will say it would be nice if they ran these shows in different cities instead of forcing something that was a good idea two years ago but didn’t pan out.
Las Vegas and Chicago get Double or Nothing and All Out every year for historical purposes and those shows always sell well so who cares. Wembley is its own thing and they’re still looking at over 50k there this year so that’s fine.
The rest though? Holy shit. Grand Slam doesn’t need to be in the same building every year. Pivot and do Hammerstein and invite RVD and have Taz finally punch Jericho in the face. Or just do a smaller venue in another city. Hell, go to Daily’s Place for the fun of it.
WrestleDream is going to be very telling and might affect how they book venues in 2025 if it is a bad turnout. They’re going back to Washington after only an ok turnout for the first one last year, and it’s coming off All In, All Out & Grand Slam in the weeks leading up to that show. If that building is empty they need to seriously start doing smaller buildings just for appearances. A full 4500 seat arena will look a million times better on TV than a 20,000 seat arena with the same number of people in it. Build your way back up from there when people see how much more fun the shows look.

Mina will be at the Dynamite taping people are reporting.
As for people waiting for tickets, it is what it is. Go to places were people talk about AEW and actually go to the shows and make it very common knowledge that tickets are overpriced when opened to the public and get more affordable closer to the show. No clue what the prices are like as I still get free tickets when I go to shows. That would be a number to really look into for the live tapings, how many are comped, as there are lot of people who can just ask someone for a few tickets and get them no questions asked. Doubt this is just a NY/CT/Mass thing either.

It's rumours right now, pure speculation. It's being said AEW is looking at a stadium show in Australia.
Which is ballsy to say the least. I would have thought a Rod Laver Arena might have been a good option first.

Do they only have massive stadiums there like Wembley or could they do a 30-40k seat venue and call it a stadium show and try to sell it out?

There's a few stadiums like that in the capitol cities but otherwise you're looking at places like Newcastle, the Gold Coast or Western Sydney for a 20-30K stadium and I'm not sure how that would look on TV. There is AAMI Park in Melbourne, but it just looks like Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast, I don't think it visually looks THAT impressive. Perfectly fine for a niche Rugby League team, not something you travel half-way around the globe to put on a big show.
So if they come here I can see them going with Docklands Stadium which is a 50K+ stadium in Melbourne.

Behold, the mecca of Australian Stadiums - The Melbourne Cricket Ground. 100,024 capacity ( 95,000 seats + 5,000 standing room ) That's an aerial of some chick's concert recently. Taylor someone? I think Rod Laver Arena, just over the road is a little closer to what AEW might fill in Australia.. 15,000 odd seats, nothing to be ashamed of and every bit achievable given AEW is on ESPN here and isn't exactly popular amongst casual fans.

Look at all that empty space... 😉 WWE did the MCG back in 2018 to about 70,000. It was horrendous. We were in those stands and couldn't make anything out - most of the section spent the night shooting the shit while trying to focus on a tiny square somewhere in the middle. The stadium was probably too big given the size of the oval.

That is one really nice stadium. I def would not do a stadium show personally, as like you said, you are not seeing anything from the crowd and at best watch via the screens. I just do not get the appeal of going to an event to watch screens. The times I went to TV tapings for wrestling I was miserable. Downside of getting free tixs is you are not getting great tixs. Now music, stadiums are amazing for.

Confirmation for AEW's stadium show in Texas.
It is taking place at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
The event will be All In Texas, and will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

They also announced that All In would return to Wembley in 2026.
Breaking it up every couple years is a good move. You won’t sell 50k+ at Wembley every single year.
I’d love if they tried either Japan or Canada in 2027.

I’d love if they tried either Japan or Canada in 2027. Likewise, they should alternate the venue of All Out from Chicago, to a different city every other year. Example would be after this year, move it to Jacksonville for 2025, and then to maybe Toronto in 2027. It'd be boring if one PPV was stuck in the same city every year.

I don’t hate that All Out and Double Or Nothing are in the same city every year because they still sell well and it’s kind of a thank you to those cities that showed up for AEW before it even existed. I think they should run those shows in those cities forever, or until the fans there give them a reason not to. Whatever comes first. Everything else needs to shuffle around though. And it looks like that is what they are doing. I just hope they do some international PPVs in the coming years. If reports of Australia are true that’s a good first step. Canada needs another PPV, and Vancouver would be a great spot for a stadium show. I was just at BC Place for the Wrexham game and it’s an incredible venue. Mexico and Japan would turn out, although it’s hard to say if the latter would work given their relationship with NJPW. Depends what they agree on. Also All In moving a month earlier is a good call too. Running All In & All Out even two weeks apart is a little crazy.
