I've moved the Wrestlemania talk to a separate Wrestlemania thread.

I wasn't expecting to feel so much from the Damage CTRL segment. After being a heel for years, Bayley proves why is such an amazing natural babyface. Iyo's facial expressions were on point too. She's super conflicted. Great story. Looking forward to the Mania match.

Very, very good promo by Hunter.

So wish Hunter could wrestle. This is perfect setup for a match with the Rock, but Hunter will never, ever, wrestle again.

Too bad because I used to live for those Rock/HHH matches. Often they were the best thing on the PPV even if they weren’t headlining.

I still think as authority figures it would be fun having them go head to head verbally.

I would so love Rock and HHH going at it, but HHH has a defibrillator. My mom just got one in and even moving your arm too fast can pull the wire away from your heart. And there is the defib unit itself in your chest. Just not something you fuck with unless you want them to have to reconfig everything, or worse, cut it back out and replace it entirely. Have to do it every 10 or years, but do not really wanting to be doing it fun as it is not entirely risk free.

HHH said as soon as that was implanted his career ended.

Rock/Hunter might be one of the more overlooked rivalries ever. Love their chemistry and it’s a shame that Trips can’t go.

I know, I got so excited that they could have one more match, then remembered the defib.  HHH can do it, but will need surgery to remove the defib, then a second to put it back in.  And frankly, he would be incredibly stupid to do so given it is not risk free.  My mom got one in and it is scary shit.

Only thing that stands out to me is how much Rock overshadows Roman in his own group. Something to keep an eye on.

I suspect end of the angle is Roman turning on the Rock. Maybe even bring up that Rock and Roman are not family.

I was listening to Busted Open today, and they brought up this interesting scenario. What if at WrestleMania, Seth Rollins screws Cody?

Rock pointing at Roman during the part of the promo saying “The Rock is going to do everything in his power to make sure you walk out of Wrestlemania a loser” is what pretty much sucked the fun out of the promo for me. It made it so clear that Rock is just playing Roman.

I’ve been hearing that for awhile on Twitter.

I’d rather see Seth lose his belt at Mania, then turn on Cody the night after Mania. That could be the big moment for that night, bookended with a Roman turn on Rock on Smackdown.

I noticed the rest of The Bloodline standing on the other side of the ring while The Rock was cooking.

It doesn’t matter what you think.

Both ideas have been floating on the socials this week.

But if Seth screws Cody... the I think it won't be met with heat per se, but a general " oh, get fucked! " sort of anger.

It's time for Roman to drop it. He's had arguably the greatest run of all time, regardless of how many days are to his name. He's a HOFer 3 times over if he's inducted as a member of The Shield, The Bloodline and as an individual - it's time to drop it, there has never been a better moment or a better challenger. Any diversion here from Cody winning, takes all of Cody's momentum away and WWE are back to a place where there is no one with any credibility left.

Part of me is confident Cody wins in a big Avengers Assemble moment, with The Bloodline counted by the babyfaces. But part of me is concerned they still want a Rock v Reigns title match and they'll piss everyone off for the sake of a power struggle between Reigns and Rock leading to a Summerslam match.

Yeah I thought it was good and I think there are plenty of layers to it that will pay off in the future, but I was disappointed. What felt so great about the Vegas thing was how real it felt and how menacing and frightening rock was and I was hoping for more of that. A side we haven’t seen before. This felt quite familiar and I was excited for something new.

Still it was very good and did was it was meant to. I just would like him to be truly dispicable and if he plays cool heel rock people will start to side with him again and to me that’s less interesting.

The Bloodline were embarrassed at the press conference, and further more by Triple H making it official.

These dudes should have been pissed, instead Rock began as jovial followed by some attitude era insults, without any real viciousness or venom behind it and ended it how Roman Reigns always ends it.

The only real take away from it was The Bloodline stood clearly with Reigns. I'd almost speculate that Reigns turns on Rock as he's had his seat at the table threatened. And if he loses to Cody, the blame goes to Rock and his interference.

I think Roman feels the way you describe but he's so tired of Cody that right now he's willing to use The Rock's presence as an excuse to run away from Cody. Yet, RR is so full of himself, I bet he thinks that he'll let The Rock sick around so he can use him for his gain & be done with him at the snap of a finger. That's how arrogant Reigns is.

Funny you say that, I saw the thumbnail for the segment and immediately thought that as well and was expecting a few more comments!

I really hope they don’t make have that attack by Damage CTRL on King Kota be a ruse because it was unseen, because I think it would actually be really nice to see Dakota legitimately be on Bayley’s side.

Hopefully the attack was just off screen because she’s still injured and at some point before WM she’ll be cleared and can physically get involved properly to confirm allegiance (either way)

They really need to heel up The Rock's theme.

A heel don't come out to music like that.
