Group chat at work is awful quiet this morning. :lol: They were blowing up my phone when it was 2-0.

(I live in Edmonton and I'm the only non-Oilers fan that works in our office).

I can't say shit though. For every other team's miserable loss, the Leafs have like 10 of their own.

Minnesota/Dallas became must-watch last night. What a great game. I'm kicking myself for staying up that late though. I'm up north this week and next and have to be up at 5:30am. brb going to chug an entire pot of coffee.

Rangers played one of their best games of the year. Total commitment to team defense. Forwards coming back and supporting the defense. Devils were not able to create any high quality scoring chances and limited their speed. Other than Hughes no one else was noticeable.
The Devils were not able to match the Rangers physically. Rangers penalty kill was excellent. Their defensive game is a great sign for a long run. Goodrow had his best game as a Ranger.

Stupid late game made me stay up late. But the result was fantastic.

But tomorrow night's game starts even later.

Every game last night was a surprise to me.

-Leafs losing isn’t surprising but getting completely caved in on home ice was

-Seattle made Colorado look washed at home in periods 2 and 3 (1st was pretty even)

-Rangers made NJ look like they didn’t belong in the playoffs. Expected a much closer game.

-Jets also dominated, expected a closer game (especially with Game 1 being in Vegas)

What a playoffs so far. Every year is more interesting than the last. Hope the Leafs pull their heads out of their asses for Game 2 but I’m not holding my breath. This might be an ugly off season for them.

EDIT: holy shit, every road team won last night. That’s crazy.

For the 1st time since the Pens/Sharks Cup final, I was able to finish watching the entire slate of games. Sleep problems got F'd in the A! FINALLY!
