Avs are playing way better than the Kraken so far. Today might be a day of road teams though. The Heat won. The Warriors won. The Panthers won. All road teams and all underdogs going into the game. This feels like a trend for the Kraken to win.

This rookie goalie of the Devils is insanely good. Mika played horribly all series long as my pockets can tell you. To lose 4-0 in a Game 7 is embarrassing.

Man this postseason is really setting up for the must see Maple Leafs vs Oilers Stanley Cup and my goodness would that be huge.

Beer league squad showed up for game 7. What a disappointment. Lack of effort. Not one quality scoring chance. Easy saves for Schmid. I feel bad for Shesterkin he gave his all again, but his teammates thought it was a game in November.

I feel your pain man. I watched the Leafs do this in 4 straight elimination games (3 game 7’s and the Columbus bubble nonsense). It’s one thing to lose but it hurts on a whole new level when your team just doesn’t show up.

Good news is that the Rangers are still on an upswing. Yeah they probably should have won this series, but so should Boston and Colorado. The NHL playoffs are fucked. You just never know.

I think the Rangers should look long and hard at firing Gallant and bringing in a fresh mind. He’s been up in every playoff series he’s lost in the last 4 years. 1-0 vs WSH then lost 4 straight. 3-1 vs SJ then lost in 7 in that fucking crazy game 7. Then 2-0 the past two years and lost both. Something is up with him and a team on the way up needs a new set of eyes in the locker room.

The core of the Rangers roster is irrelevant with their horrendous effort and inability to make basic plays.  When they stated in their post game interviews that they were happy with their effort is all I need to know about this core.  They are in denial.  That was an embarrassing game 7.  Not one grade A scoring chance.  Every save was easy for Schmid.  The players looked like they did not care at all.  Some of the blame is on Gallant for, similar to last season against Tampa, not making adjustments during the game and in between games.  Otherwise, effort and will to battle is on the players.  Fox had trouble making simple plays in his zone, it is mind boggling.  A double turnover first by Fox then Kreider and the Rangers allow the Devils to just do what they want in the slot shorthanded, which led to their first goal.

Rangers did not get beat by Schmid, Rangers did not get beat by the Devils top guys.  I'm convinced the Rangers beat themselves.

Panarin is a nothing player if he does not play physical.  If he is dialed in he has the ability to use his body to protect the puck, go into the dirty areas, and he is physical enough to be an effective player by separating the puck from the opponent, holding onto the puck, etc.  It creates additional opportunities for him and his teammates.  His offensive talent takes over.

So much for "I always wanted to be a Ranger" bullshit.  Kane was an absolute fail.  He was a tremendous liability defensively, just awful turnovers that would lead to benching if he was not Kane and the Rangers were not in salary cap hell and only had minor league players as the next man up.  He had another awful turnover in game seven at the Rangers blueline.  His effort and lackadaisical skating was a joke.  If Kane continues his career he will be booed at MSG.

I'm at the point where there is no point in following this team.  They are just going to mail it in come playoff time and then start how their effort was there, but the other team is so good.  Or, will it be the excuse last year against Tampa "we were tired" when Tampa played 200 playoff games in 5 seasons.  Why waste my time?  Now, I gotta watch the Boone run Yankees again.  Did not start Volpe on his birthday and pulled German in the 9th inning because "German has the tendency to allow homeruns."  What a nightmare.
