Demo is currently out on PlayStation, you can only play as Luke or Ryu but looks very promising

Looks like they are really pulling out all the stops for SFVI after the launch of V was once the worst in gaming history. It was always incredibly mechanically sound but releasing it without an arcade mode was inexcusable, and by the time it became a great package it was too late.

Story mode looks like a lot of fun and the modern controls being able to special movies with one button is long overdue and a great move.

Trying to play it with friends and they ask “how do you do a sonic boom?” “How do I do the spinning piledriver”

“Hold back for 2 seconds then press forward..”
“Spin the left thumb stick 360 degrees then..”


“Yeah never mind”.

Though I am curious how much of an advantage this could give certain characters, the aforementioned piledriver does heavy damage but before it wasn’t an instant input.

The parry mechanics remind me a lot of SFIII

Anyone else hyped for this?

I tried the demo a little bit and I see the upside of what is essentially Yakuza inside the SF world(Well at least the open world portion of Yakuza). Not sure if I will play SFVI but I think the accessibility features that welcome newcomers & casual players to the game will go a long way towards helping the foundation of this game. Just a matter of how much will this cater to this audience and how much this game will still give the diehards/FGC/competitive players. Will these new changes be too much of a barrier? Will the easy inputs lead to a changed experience online for the competitive players?
