The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (NS) Puzzle Bobble Everybubble! (NS)
Tears of the Kingdom is the long-awaited sequel to Breath of the Wild, and I'm hyped AF for this one. As for Puzzle Bobble Everybubble!, I might pick it up at some point down the road, especially if I can find a copy on sale at PNP Games.

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for sure. I will say the recent trailer gave me pause because it looks more and more like Nuts and Bolts which I always saw as Kingdom Hearts: Gummi Missions the game. I kind of hope it doesn't lean TOO much in that direction and the game tosses up more interesting scenarios and locales but we shall see. When it cames to mainline entries, Zelda will always be a Day 1 - it's virtually been that way since OoT.

Been caught up with so much that Tears of the Kingdom will have to be a game played later on as I haven't played Breath of the Wild fully.
Redfall I will try and play next Friday since it's free on Game Pass, I just have low expectations on it. Hoping it sort of shocks me.
Fuga 2 seems cool and is also on game pass but I have yet to play Fuga 1 which I want to get into before the game leaves the service in a few months. Seems like a pretty good strategy RPG.
Cassette Beasts has gotten a lot of good praise as a Pokemon inspired monster catching game, might be worth a look due to game pass.

So this game comes out less than 24 hours so will try it a bit sooner! But do I want to because forget having low expectations, this sounds like an absolute dud. One reviewer said this is right now one of the worst games of 2023!

Tears of the Kingdom has leaked so if anyone wanted to go into the game blind avoid any and all social media (except PW of course!).

Wow, people fucking streamed it. That is gonna be painful in court.
More concerning should be the previews of it that show REALLY bad framerate issues at times. It pushed the limits of the switch too far it seems.
I would not be too concerned about spoilers since the game seems very non-linear.
If I setup my Steamdeck to play Switch games may play it, otherwise no Switch means another game I will skip. Even with the framerate stuff looks amazing.

Truthfully I didn't give BOTW a chance. I played initially and it just didn't do anything for me. I guess I'm one of those idiots that doesn't want change and just wants the same old shit... just prettier and "new". It might just be me and System that don't love the game. The sequel might be the first Zelda where I'm just like, pass. I wanted a Zelda 2 remaster, not a Zelda 2 like this.

God damn I can see why Microsoft/Arkane tried to keep the reviews as close to the release as possible. And having played the tutorial myself, yeah this game feels really rushed. Few times enemies, alive or dead would vanish and the gunplay feels like something from PS1 where you shoot them and they either don't attempt to shoot you or they will in 1 second quickdraw you and take nearly half of your health off one shot. No sneak attack instant death animation, it is a simple 1 hit KO punch.
The idea of not putting any of your character's unique abilities in the tutorial, thus relying on boring/dull gunplay seems like a mistake. I only played this game for 40 minutes and already feel like I saw the best that this game has to offer.
And my god the fucking blur when turning your character around in first person mode. I took it OFF and it still is really bad, the 30 FPS feels absolutely crippling on my LG OLED TV that can run as high as 120 FPS. It feels like a PS2/early 00's game for some of the portions I played.
The tragic part is I was loving what I saw of this game when it was first announced during MS's June conference last year and thought this would be good but was I wrong as everything afterwards shown seemed like a mistake.
And the slideshow presentation to tell the story? Oh no. I thought we'd get some sort of InFamous esque storytelling via comic book art or something but nope.

They still going forward with the sponsored stream ad blitz. I bet a lot of people play this today then the game really is never streamed again outside of jank streamers.
This is just awful. Cohh prepping for a sponsored stream and chat is just dunking hard on the game being 30 fps and no 4k option seemingly found on a 4080. So bad he is like updating all his shit as he cannot believe it would launch in this state so he believes it has to be on his end.
Other streamers turned all the settings to low on 4080s and the game stuff is framey. Fucking disaster.

What, in the actual fuck... Game is always online. Even for single player. Lose connection to server dumps you to main menu.

Yeah this was hella bad, people tried to play the game early via New Zealand XBOX account settings and Arkane/MS caught on and disabled it by turning the servers off. Instantly bumps people out.

Oh yeah, they reset the serves themselves pretty regularly as well, which kicks everyone off. That was what knocked off Cohh, the daily reset.
I can see a good game in this, but it needed like another year of work.
Also noticing a memory leak right now two hours into the stream. Again it is Cohh, and studios hook him up with the top gear as it comes out so it def is not his rig.

If/when CohhCarnage is critical of a game, that's when you know you have messed up. He's as vanilla & empathetic when it comes to games as one can get where he rarely takes a critical stand on something unless it's morally/ethically wrong since his core audience share the same belief.
He backed Cyberpunk 2077/CD Projekt Red despite that being an absolute mess of a launch and gave them somewhat of a free pass when tons of others were slamming the game for the poor performance/crashing, since he was an NPC in the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 had a very good game and story hidden inside an absolute pisspoor effort performance wise. I just don't see it with Redfall, at least as a solo player game. I feel like there's little to no real innovation in the combat of the game itself. I spent like an hour going around parts of the map and it just felt so samesy. Fight the same group of human enemies with the same attacks, fight vampires that are hovering in the air.

Cohh's stance right now is the game is "aggressively mid."
Cyberpunk I not played yet, but heard they fixed the bugs and it is getting pretty good now. Witcher 3 was the same way though.

I tuned out already. Will watch it more when DansGaming joins him for the sponsored bit but after that I assume both go back to Star Wars.

The time has come once again, to enter the Darkest Dungeon.
Second game was in a long ass early access so most have seen it, but for those who did not, Darkest Dungeon 2 is very, very good. Took the first good, and improved on most aspects of it. No town this time, but each run gives you candles you spend on permanent unlocks. This means you cannot brick your game, and overtime you get progressively stronger.

Despite not playing Breath of the Wild much(if at all), I am now locked into a preorder for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. I didn't expect this at all but GAMESTOP once again delivered an almighty Nintendo Switch deal. The same company who did a B1G1 free which I bought both Bayonetta 3 & Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for $60 dollars altogether, got games like Kirby Star Allies & Paper Mario & The Origami King for under $30 each, Gamestop is running a radical deal that is basically saying "Hey buy me". Bold were the two casualties that had to be sacrificed for the greater good. Think of it like me sacrificing two creatures that served their purpose to summon a Blue Eyes White Dragon in Yugioh. BUT, Sackboy not only did I beat but it is a PS Plus game AND I had a 2nd copy laying around of Ratchet & Clank : Rift Apart after Target botched their delivery(Preordered and it came over week late, #shithappens) and sent a 2nd one that they told me to keep. I also platniumed Rift Apart(Damn good game) so there's not much else to do outside of a replay in the far future. Again I had NO intention of getting Tears of the Kingdom but this Friday, I am in boys. I have zero fucking clue what I am doing since I played like 90 minutes of the Breath of the Wild(I'll go back to this eventually, not that the game was bad but my work/home schedule was hella rough). When a deal like this is just screaming for you to jump in, you just gotta. I don't if it's Reggie (Fils Aime) & the Full Effect happening in Gamestop but these Nintendo Switch deals with Gamestop have been GOLD. The bottom line: I paid $21 bucks for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, a game that will not go on sale until maybe 1-2 years knowing Nintendo and even at that, maybe $10-20 dollars off. I can hang onto the game for ages and still think I did good here. Give zero fucks too given Nintendo is selling this game at $70 knowing it isn't most likely hitting 60 FPS and may be a mess on Switch hardware, was not caving into that.

Wow that is a great fucking deal.
And that Zelda game comes out next week. People were streaming copies already and rapidly realized that Amazon will gladly give your personal details to Nintendo.

Looks like the building gets more interesting later on and you can fast build stuff you have to build over and over again. Person I watch is avoiding the story and just fucking around having a blast exploring.
And yeah Blindy, Cohh is an absolute professional. This game is just not for him at all. Diablo doing an event this weekend also did not help.
///
On Darkest Dungeon 2 myself. Got to the first boss, had first boss dead to poison but in the very last attack he got he killed my last living character. Whomp whomp. Finally unlocked all the characters though so can start to power up now.
Much easier game than the first one as it is run based, and you cannot brick your progression like you could in the first game. No more buying heroes or provisions.
