So this is a pretty big month, what with both Street Fighter 6 and Final Fantasy XVI, coming out in June. Admittedly though, I have zero interest in either game, with that said, I'll be getting...

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective (NS)
Sonic Origins Plus (NS)

Sonic Origins I'm definitely getting, while Ghost Trick is a maybe.

I'll also get Crash Team Rumble if/when it comes to Nintendo Switch in a year's time.

A new FF game is out and this is the first I've heard of it. That used to be a big deal back in the day.

Games I am getting:

Final Fantasy XVI(Hoping I am done with Zelda by the time this game comes out, this will be a huge timesink. High hopes for this one.)

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective(Have always wanted to try this, it's from the creator of the Ace Attorney trilogy. Huge acclaim, looks to be really good. No physical release in NA is a dubious decision, hoping this sells good digitally to make Capcom look foolish by not making this a physical release)

Samba De Amigo: Party Central(Hoping this is good too, curious how the single player is with this or if this will be a strict party game. The music selection really isn't my cup of tea but hoping this is good nevertheless, getting it with a $10 dollar gift card so it's basically $29.99)




Street Fighter VI will be a game I watch tons of people play, I used to be bigger for fighting games when I was younger but I don't have the time or ability to 'git gud'.

Rain Code is by the Danganronpa creator, will wait and see the reviews. This could be another game I purchase or at the very least, down the road. If I get this, it means Ghost Trick is purchased down the road, can only do 1 or the other I feel.

Seems like a game purely dependent on the player base so in a year, this game may be dead. It's why I am holding off on this one, I wish they just did a regular Crash Bash sort of game. 

It has a nice entry point of $29.99 here in US but I just worry it isn't a game that gets much traction to even begin with and will die by the end of 2023.

That's odd, it was announced three years ago and it's been hyped up as one of the big 2023 releases. I suppose it's relative. Taking a quick look at YouTube and while FF XVI trailers got around 3-4 million, the big IPs are getting around 30-50 million. So if you're not in the bubble, these releases would sneak up on you.

Interest in FF seemed to drop off after Versus FF failed to materialise. Even so, I got the impression you couldn't just slap FF onto a release and expect it to get over. FFIX and FFXII for instance kind of felt like they came and went whereas VII, VIII & X were massive releases.

Final Fantasy 16 is the big one for me, while historically it's not a franchise I've preferred, an all action based one has my interest. I did enjoy Stranger of Paradise and the FFVII remake. Might give Diablo a go to, even though they're right up my alley, I've never actually played any Diablo games. Gameflying it for my brother, so I might give it a go. See how I feel after Tears of the Kingdom, I might try to fit the Spider-Man games in with rumors SM2 could drop later in the year. Haven't played them since I bought Miles Morales that included Remastered (I still miss old Peter's face).

And FF:XVI has been hyped to high hell, not sure how ya missed that one @ness.

No PS5, I'm holding off till the Pro.

So it's down to Blindy who had it as his third most highly anticipated game.

Samba De Amigo pushed to Late August, this is not bad news given late June was stacked.

The Lara Croft Collection, is coming to the Nintendo Switch, releasing on June 29th.

Having played the Final Fantasy XVI demo, I am all in. Holy shit. Imagine Game of Thrones story/darkness with Kingdom Hearts esque gameplay with Panzer Dragoon sidescrolling segments. They give you serious meat on this demo too, a good 3 hours of content that carries over to the final game.

Not a matter of if I buy it at this point, forget the June 21st embargo. It's do I let Best Buy deliver it to me or do I pick it up on Friday....I get to use $5 coupon(Use it or lose it) which is why Best Buy is the choice so it's still like over $65 bucks which ehh but that demo deserves a lot of buy in. THAT is why games need demos before you preorder, that is how you get the player's attention. Haven't seen a demo done that well since NiOh(I did pass on the RE4 Remake demo so no fault of that one) or NiOh 2. Maybe Wo Long, again Team Ninja.

I am stunned they are going to get really crazy with the story if that beginning/demo is anything to go off of. The voice acting for the main character/Clive is going to win Actor of the Year for the VG awards if more of that is coming, holy shit dude went in. 

Come get some. Maybe not a hands down masterpiece like say Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom got but still impressive. 

We ever getting the rest of the remake?
