A big part of it might be that two jocks + cheerleader sounds like an inherently low-midcard heel gimmick but they were faces and seemed not particularly edgy enough to be brash villains

also it is amusing to me that Julia Hart was a legit cheerleader, was sick of it and wanted to try something else, but AEW was all 'but according to the rule of you turned up to 11 you have to be a cheerleader, them's the rules'
