The Nuggets look like a well oiled machine out there.
Wire-to-wire victory.

I didn’t watch the whole game but from what I saw, Miami was never in it. I think they’re done. Blew 3 straight against Boston and only took game 7 because the Celtics didn’t show up for some reason.
I would love for Jimmy to get a ring but I think their luck has run out. I’m happy to be proven wrong but this stinks of Denver in 4 or 5.

Miami needed that win to have any shot in the series. And they just barely got it.
I don't know why Denver didn't call a timeout to set up a final play.

That was a fun game of runs. Multiple times I thought it’d be a blowout for each team.

Jokic and Murray both went for triple dubs. Has that ever happened before?

No Lebron, no Warriors - how refreshing. This series feels like a win no matter what, or at the very least, it's an extremely intriguing one for once. Either Jimmy finally gets his ring or Joker & Nightwing start a new era. Are they Hakeem's Rockets or the Jazz/Sonics of the modern day? Yet if the Heat win, how far does that catapult Butler's legacy?

Jokic and Murray both went for triple dubs. Has that ever happened before? First time ever that two players on the same team had 30 point triple doubles, including regular season and playoff games.

It’s all over. Circumstances went Miami’s way tonight and they still couldn’t get anywhere near them.

Jokic and Murray both had fairly pedestrian games, and the Heat still get killed by Aaron Gordon and Bruce Brown. Murray did have a great game passing the ball though.,

Same exact parallels as the '99 Finals.
8 in the East vs. 1 in the West.
The West team wins in five games.
It's the West team's first championship.
Congrats Denver!

Plus, the West team was one of the 4 franchises to join from the ABA. And the Nuggets beat the Heat, a rival of the Knicks, who lost to the Spurs. Congrats to the Nuggets. It's always nice to see a different team from the norm win a title, especially their first.

I know it’s always a knee jerk when 1 seeds win that people say they could be a dynasty, but if the Nuggets can get this play out of Murray in the late part of the season again, they will be very difficult to stop.

Pride of Canada. 🇨🇦 Kind of hilarious to think that after decades of Americans dominating the NBA and international basketball, the next potential dynasty team could be led by a Serbian and a Canadian. Happy that Murray won a ring and I love Jokic, and I also love a team winning that has never won before, but I can’t help but feel for Jimmy Butler. I feel like that was his last chance at a ring. Him and Vince Carter are two guys I wish got one.

That was mostly fabricated. Yeah he wanted out but he was also willing to play out his contract. Problem was Carter was injured for a lot of that time and was really struggling with how the team was being managed. They were not a serious organization and Carter with his multiple injuries couldn’t carry them on his back.
Then the entire head office got fired and the first thing the new management did was trade Carter. He was unhappy and injury prone so it made sense.
That whole situation was blown out of proportion by the media and fans have forgiven Carter a long time ago.

Vince Carter is an absolute legend and his name should never be besmirched. He and T-Mac could have given young Kobe/prime Iverson/Duncan a run for their money as the league's best player if not for all of their injury problems. Vince almost single handedly laid the foundation of the sport in an entirely different country.
